I had a '99 Chevy Blazer 4X4, it was kind of slow too, didn't care. I had a 2011 Equinox that was no speed demon, I didn't mind that either. I just bought a 2025 Equinox AWD that I really like a lot. What's the point? Vehicles like this were never intended to be sports cars and never were. The biggest difference between then and now is the gas mileage has gotten much better and that's definitely something I can appreciate.
Liking the exterior styling and the red color and all led lights. I think Chevy should update their bow tie logo like Nissan did. I don’t like how it looks on the back door. I don’t normally like most of GM interiors but this one looks good. I don’t care for the bright red accents on the circular dash vents and please add 10 and 2 notches and flat bottom steering wheel. I’ll take gun metal gray vent trim and yes the jumbo dial you mentioned is oversized for what it controls. I’ll be visiting the dealership soon.
When it comes to the infotainment system and figuring out where all the controls are located. It's like getting a new phone even if it's the same brand. They might relocate certain things. Just takes time to figure out the layout and such or the other option...read the manual. I'd like to know why Chevy removed the 12v adaptor from the floor console? Some complain about the sound system. I have the 2022 RS and I just go into the system and increase the base and balance where I want the sound. Thinking this might be the same for the new model, maybe? I don't buy a car for the sound system. I get because it looks good on the outside and equally impressed with the interior. Also the mileage needs to be pretty good too.
Great Review Cory! I'm curious about the ride quality difference between the RS AWD vs. the ACTIV AWD [my city has some rougher roads]. Many Thanks, Graham.
@@GTGarageTalk i tried it and drives nice, but its not any better for any off road. Only has a 17 inch all terrain tires instead of 19 inch and gets stuck easily . For the price difference i rather have the RS. yes the maple interior is nice and that red is gorgeous
A feature I discovered that has been removed because of difficulties is the ability to sync your garage door to the car. It's a big inconvenience to get out and open the garage door if you don't have a remote entry. Fix date? Good question.
If you look on the window sticker, they have been giving a credit for that feature not working. I typically do not test that feature so I do not have to set/reset my garage doors every week. I have mine working with Apple CarPlay, which is how I solved that problem here.
@@ace-c7j I believe it may be by design, so you are not driving around with the fog lamps on, thinking you have your head lights on. On my F150 I cannot turn the fog lamps on unless at least the parking lamps are on.
I have one and like it but will say the stereo really sucks. Half volume and it is still very low and most audio comes from the dash not doors. I have not been able to find speaker replacements. It also needs an update because apple car play loses connection all the time and I have to turn off and back on again to get it to sync. Otherwise have been happy with it for the past 2000 miles.
There is an option of purchasing gas lift rods to install yourself. But that's for the 2024 Equinox. It could work on a 25' won't know until I get mine.Unfortunately, TH-cam does not allow links to websites, so search for Redline Tuning for the quicklift parts for the 2018 to 2024 Equinox.
Yep, TH-cam deleted my comment cause they don't allow mentioning of links about car parts. And I didn't provide a link, just the name of the site. "TH-cam censors get a life. "

It looks damn good inside and out
Yup

Check out non-RS trims for non-red interior trim
@ thank you for the info 👍
It needs a light interior option. Gray or biege.

Why is the left wheel well so large in the back cargo area?

I’m yet to find an Activ. I’m trying though.
Thanks for watching.
@@GTGarageTalkhey buddy/ I have one on my lot currently if you’d like to come out and drive it!

Nice Equinox
There is an option to getting a gas lift rod for the hood, but since TH-cam censors doesn't want me to give links you have to find it yourself.
You should hold off naming this or something else your favorite until you try GMC’s version.
At the start of the video, it looks like the headlights are OFF, while the fog lights are ON. Is that right?
Correct.
Problem!!! On my 2025 RS the fog lights DO NOT come on if the headlights are OFF! Bad-wiring?
No answer?

@@SurfNTurf54482 Thanks, but I figured out how to turn the fog lights on, and leave the headlights OFF.
Overall nice job Chevrolet except for the engine!
Whats up with the alignment bolt thats missing on the vehicle

I’m surprised they basically ignored the sound system with this update.
Id get after market
Agree yet can find no information from any site on aftermarket speakers or any upgrade. Must be too new of a car for any vendors to have products.
I was going to say that too. Give it some time and they will be popping up two to three years.
I thought the Jeep Cherokee were like $25k back then ????
We had a loaded Trailhawk with the 3.2 V6... $42K...
Seriously? Youre griping about the hood prop bar?😂
There is so little to critique, yes. lol. That’s a good thing.
