I miss my daddy so much! This was our second Christmas without him and even while he was going through chemo an radiation he continued to witness to the lost an showing an example to my mom and me about being filled with the love of Jesus! Thank God above I had him for 42 years before The Lord called him home! My husband never had a daddy period and I had the daddy the played with me, guided me with a stern hand, and loved me unconditionally! I was blessed beyond measure! I have three Bibles, the one he studied with, the one he bought me 13 years ago that I study with, and the one him and mom gave me together! I can never make it through this song without crying! Thank you for this song! My daddy was my first love, my role model that pointed me to Jesus, and I look forward to seeing him again soon!

I am praying for some men in this world to step up for the Lord. He has done everything for us, and in todays age, no one really seems to care.
Might be the most powerful song I've ever heard that deals with the spiritual man. if you have a father that is this song, it is more than words can describe. If you are a father, this is how you want your kids to see you.
BFA is the most incredible and unique Gospel group in music today. They have a one-of-a-kind sound that no other Christian group has. Every song they sing has a strong, Christ-centered, biblical message in it, and I really can't say that about much of anyone else. Plus, Brian has one of the most incredible voices and ranges I have EVER heard, and Bill sings with such incredible emotion. BFA's harmonies on this song and all albums between 2007-2014 are completely unmatched in my opinion. Such a amazing and blessed group of talented Christians, and I am so glad to have met them personally!
Brian Free was apart of the Gold City quartet in the 80s and 90s and his was amazing then as well. VERY good range like you said.

This was my Dad to a T. He was always studying his Bible, he was such a wonderful example to all of his children. I miss our conversations, the many things I learned from his great knowledge of God's word. He has been sitting at Jesus' feet for over a year now, I can't wait to be there, too. So thankful for my heavenly Father that gave me my precious Dad.

great message my father drowned when I was 12 and we buried him on Christmas eve. It has never been the same since. I now lead worship at my church and sing the song that I wrote for him Daddy's Shoes on Fathers Day. Blessings!

I cry and think of my dad! He was saved and sanctified for over 30 years and he backslid… he’s deathly sick and all I can do is pray. God has kept him alive through prayer and I know it!

2 weeks ago was "Father's Day," and of all the men out there who never had a "father," I was one. At has been a hard couple of weeks. I couldn't figure out why, until I realized 2 weeks ago was "Father's Day." A national "holiday" (in the USA) that promotes hurt and pain. Even when you know you have your heavenly father (God), it can promote hard emotions without realizing it. Questions like "what is a father?" Or, because of unbelieving society, "what is a man" for that's matter? Fathers are very important to children, more than you can know.

What an amazingly talented team these two are. Ricky as co-writer and Brian as the singer. They just can't be beaten. I’m going to be that man for my future wife and kids this song showed me how a man could be in the eyes of God and so I’m so out of the will of God it’s not even funny and I’m a pastors kid and it hurts me that what I put my parents through be I thought I wanted to do as a man was it but it’s not in man eyes as the Bible says “For God so loved that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believers in him should not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16, and it also says in John that “That the word was God and it finally hit me what I have missed in the word of God I hope this touches somebody

You guys are my favorite. The first time I heard this song was the same day I met y'all for the first time at a baptist church in South Carolina. I immediately started crying & thanked the Lord for a Daddy, who loves the Lord. I hope some day God blesses me with a husband who is half the man my daddy is.
