It’s because you’re playing community servers, lobby’s don’t have that problem much and if they do then sleep your headset for a second and you’re fine.
Can we ban the 9 year olds in Pavlov Shack??? Literally tried to play the gane normally and got kicked out of 5 lobbies. Even when I was traitor i was kicked. It's fucking ridiculous
I believe the sand rework you showed is sand 2 on pc only. Also, the gore was an earlier version, and there one or two other things that aren’t fully confirmed yet

The pavlov faster and smoother was a lie my game be running at 2.5 fps
It wasn’t a lie it’s completely added, might be the other features like gore which you can disable.
So try making your oculus sleep for a sec and then turning it back on
