- Let's dig into the Raminator factory 50cc engine and Find some hidden power!...
We will tear it down and discuss some potential engine modifications in this one.. Some machining will ensue in some following video's so stay tuned...
These engines are just a 49cc cag pocket bike engine with a chineseium 44mm big bore kit... There is plenty of power to be had out of these little guy's if done correctly.. so let's find that hidden power!

That's amazing that you can do all that. I can't believe there was rust! That's kinda crazy! Well, at least you found it. I do know more rpms is good. Great job.

Ya unfortunately I've been building engines all my life..🤣.. anything from small nitro, to big v8's..

hey My fellow Primal MT owner! Im new to your channel, Gave you a sub, looking forward to the rest of this series! BTW, mine is chassis serial # 32, I was one of the first to get this thing. SO far I've only replaced fuel lines and soldered in a new power switch.

The truck is one of my buddies.. I just couldn't stand the fact the thing was just lame all stock.. dont get me wrong, it really is a gorgeous piece, the machining is beautiful, and I respect every part of that truck ..
Just cant beleive the lack of power and tune.. all they really needed to do was put an adjustable clutch in it, have it come in on the power and I beleive it would have been decent...👍...
He also had a failed power switch, but he has also had nothing but issues with servos burning up.. steering servo's twice, brake servo is on it's way out, reverse servo caught fire... he will need to spend around 600 for servos.. that sucks!..

See what you can do with this stock engine, I was going to get the TMR engine but for $1100.00 with no pipe I will wait , the stock engine in my monster truck needs this kinda love.. lol They also say the stock pipe isn’t that good either? Waiting on some parts, so I'll be back on this when they come in.. the tmr engine is just a modded factory engine like this one.. the power can be drawn out with some work for sure.. 1100 is steep for something that is just poked at.. my buddy does not want to spend that kind of loot and I don't blame him..
As for the pipe that has yet to be seen.. it is possible it may work if the charge tract is lengthened or shortened, that will be something we will need to play with after the build...😎... for sure it would never work on the 80's.. there just isn't enough volume in the factory pipe..👍..

The gaskets have a silicone substance impregnated into material . The new gaskets if the same type will do the same thing

Sir do you know what is the max RPMs we get out of a stock Raminator 49CC engine? I am working on a project and that info would be a huge help. Thanks!!
Unfortunately we never measured the factory setup max rpm, so I'm not positive of the exact number..
That being said a typical stock cag 49cc engine runs in the 8,500-9,500 rpm range.. Being that this is essentially just a cag 49 I would say it will be the same..
I do know a highly modified cag can approach 12k rpm with bolt on parts, and usually around 14k after some carefully mapped porting as well as the bolt on mods...
Sorry I can't give exact numbers, it never really dawned on me to check the factory rpm.. I hope this helps to some degree...👍

@@nicklashokanson1515 I'm not sure on total cost as of yet.. there are still some machining processes that need to be done to the cylinder..
The idea in the end is to get the port map more appropriate.. once that is settled, and proven to be a gain these motors may just be available for sale..😎.. I can tell you that they WILL be more affordable than the hop up engines currently on the market..✌
