I bought Belgian chocolate mousse desserts (a 6 pack) from Costco. I was amazed that the desserts were in little glass jars/containers with clear plastic lids that snap on them. I immediately thought of juice glasses as another use for them as they are thick glass. Plus the chocolate mousse desserts were delicious. Great minds thinking alike.
Scrapple is very popular with the Amish around Lancaster and generally in eastern Pennsylvania. It's an acquired taste. When I was young the popular scrapple was named Philadelphia Scrapple.

You are right though, it's more of a traditional foods among the Pennsylvania Dutch and around Pennsylvania and Ohio. I really like it and thought it had a sausage flavor with a hint of cornmeal.

I have to laugh when Frugal Daddy said he was on the Keto diet and had donuts in the car. Don’t feel bad Frugal Daddy. All of us who are overweight ( notice I didn’t say fat or obese) have a hard time losing weight. I am trying but I do have a comments I come back with. I say I am high maintenance it cost a list of money to be this way and also a fat person doesn’t slip through your fingers when you hug them. Just know we all support your effort and we are in the same boat!❤
Hi Frugalistas. Made it to Aldi on Saturday. Our nearest one is an hour away. When I came to the car from the store, my son said check out the dumpsters because there was a lot of activity there. Apparently a u haul pulled up and dumped a lot of furniture. It was followed by another truck that loaded up the dumped furniture. Sadly there was no discarded Aldi food to be found. Love the scrapple but they don't sell here. Nice finds. Thank you for sharing.

A lot of the Advance and similar bars taste pretty darned good and they sure stick to the ribs better than a candy bar.

The cheddar cheese can be used in making pimento cheese. I put the roast and veggies in the crockpot. Love it.
