The hot summer heat pushes gardeners to their limits. Garden burnout is common when the heat of the summer hits the backyard garden. We are seeing the garden struggle with the lack of rain and extreme heat wave here in central North Carolina and it is causing some frustrations. Our Spaghetti squash is infested with white flies, and these flies are taking over the garden. Sometimes you have to decide when to let things go and call it quits.

May I ask what are you using to spray the white flies, and when are you spraying the white flies?
I have tried a few things. First was just neem oil, with little success. Next I did a combination of neem oil and dish soap ( 1.5 tablespoon of each) diluted in a one gallon sprayer with some luck. Over the past couple of days, I have used castile soap ( 1/4 cup diluted with water in one gallon sprayer). This seems to be the best solution for me so far and pleased with the results we are getting. We also use yellow sticky traps, which help. Thanks so much for watching
