First video i've watched of this Eric dude and I see him getting big. The editing is crisp, decent personality, good with talking to strangers. I overall see him taking 2 paths, either the Poudii route or the typical "go to crazy places and whatever happens happens" route. Although, the Poudii route takes insane personality and not giving a fuck type of personality and overall immune to embarrassment type shiz. You have a more involved cameraman which is good for engagement and improv. You got it man, what's left is how you take it from here, you got more potential than just "Asian content" or exploring "Asian places" so don't put yourself in a box and let Eric do what Eric does best, I'm rooting for ya.
I think hes doing fine he has like 200k on ig/tiktok and stuff, but damn if the comment is genuine than is a bygone era of a simple compliment is considered a glaze these days lmao.
@@Fatmouse25 Ya, I looked him up afterwards. Seems like it's the standard for people from Tiktok/Instagram to move their audiences to TH-cam for long term engagement and growth. I actually genuinely thought he was a small up and coming TH-camr who was cooking up surprising banger for the amount of subs he has 😅
Yes, you cannot bring someone who doesn't eat either to a dimsum restaurant, unless you're in a country with a large Chinese community and a sizable Muslim one as well such as Malaysia and Singapore. There you actually have halal dimsum restaurants which serve the chicken versions of pork dishes.
u got it all wrong bro. there Monterey Park, Alhambra, San Gabriel, Rosemead, Temple City, Arcadia, El Monte and Rowland Height. There is not just ONE Chinese City bro. I grow up in the 626 area
@@MbisonBalrog no we don’t like to drive far just for necessities. While Richmond, BC is very Asian, especially in the Canadian context, San Gabriel Valley is even more intensely Asian-American in terms of diversity, cultural impact, and density of Asian residents. Both areas are notable, but the SGV in LA area of California has an edge due to its sheer scale and variety of Asian-American communities. The SGV alone is larger by area than even Manhattan, NYC. Imagine a collection of cities with Asian majority populations that is larger than all of Manhattan NYC.
I haven't been to a dim sum place in so long, I remember my family frequently go out for brunch on Sundays then head out to the Chinese supermarket to shop around for groceries.
despite how you got clowned lol i actually really liked your tiktok highlighting Seaside as a Cambodian business beyond just as a abg trend thing. I think it'd be cool if you can do an interview/mini doc with the owners!
As someone from LA who visited San Gabriel valley only as an adult.. I felt like a lot of those areas were purely Asian or am I tripping? Alhambra, Arcadia, Monrovia, Temple City, etc.. even Diamond Bar/Rowland Heights/Walnut, etc.. I felt so out of place LOL (doesn’t help that I’m black) .. I got so many stares like I was visiting an alien planet lol and a lot of people I encountered spoke no English.. a lot of business signs not in English.. I stayed for Pho and then dipped out (maybe that’s the point lol).. food was great tho 🤣
Grew up around that area in the 80s. Place has really changed a lot. I no longer live in the area, but still drop by to visit once or twice a year for the food.
Lived here my entire life and always kinda wondered abt the statue and the history behind the waterfall when i passed it, but never cared to google. 😅 thanks. It's strange, but kinda cool to see sidewalks and stores I've seen in real life now thru a lens 😂 there's def better restaurants to try tho that have been here for decades that are reallyyy Chinese haha. The Tea is really new here and just opened😂...but Half and Half is the OG like been there pre covid. We always have new boba shops that open then close....Half and Half and Sunright, my personal fav, are the go tos tho for boba!
Used to always drive up from long beach to monterey park. Good dim sum, chinese restaurants, food, grocerys and malls. Now that i'm older i cant stand sitting in traffic. Do Arcadia & rosemead next!
Too bad there isn't a Chinatown there that has traditional architecture and a cultural/arts center besides the restaurants. That would be a big tourist attraction. Shen Yun baby !!!
The SGV has 900k Asians but it’s spread across Monterey Park, Alhambra, San Gabriel, Temple City, Arcadia, San Marino, El Monte, Rowland Heights, Diamond Bar, and Covina. These cities are all next to each other. 30 mins south of the SGV are another 700k Asians in Orange County in Irvine, Tustin, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, and Midway. 30 mins west of the SGV is another 500k Asians in the city of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Riverside, San Diego, and Ventura adds another 600k Asians. Pretty sure there are more Asians in SoCal than in New York.

Dimsum with people who don't eat shrimp and pork is a nightmare.

Richmond, BC is the most Chinese city in North America
Better variety of Chinese food up there. I guess he hasn't made it that far north yet.
Monterey is mainland Chinese, Richmond is very much Hong Kong 2.0
most asian city outside asia also
If you're ever in NYC, these are some Chinese places to check out:
Chinatown (Manhattan)
Flushing (Queens)
Sunset Park (Brooklyn)
Elmhurst, Bayside, bensonhurst, Coney Island, sheepshead Bay, ... NYC is Chinatown 😂
The 626 home of og ABGs and ABBs
W Monterey Community
Its a important home for the locals and a significant part of all

MP is truly its own gem, had no idea how great this area is until attending ELAC!! Good stuff unc
Most Chinese UC Riverside students go to Rowland Heights to eat, get grocery, and go back to dorm.
Isnt that kind of far plus traffic.
isnt that far plus traffic?
Rowland Heights is hella far from UC Riverside… are you sure?
@ Is in another county, plus factor in the traffic. But I guess Cali people are used to driving really far.

looking at the place where i grew up and lived for 23 years on youtube is strange I LOVE BEING CHINESE
vibes, now come to Richmond BC in Canada, feels like a small mainland Chinese city in the west

You gotta go to Alhambra or Rowland Heights my guy. Monterey Parks is just houses.
Most of SoCal is just houses, then strip malls. Alhambra is right next door, and I know it the same.
