Always love Steve's drumming. First I ever heard him was on the Blues Brothers album about 40 years ago. Then he played on the Letterman show as a regular for a few years. His playing has always been at the top.
Like John Bonham, Steve Gadd, Levon Helm, Ringo Starr, and Steve Smith ... He never plays a single thing that doesn’t sound good. It’s about feel people. Having chops may look good. But being musical gets you the gig.
this reminds me of the music they used to played in church when it was time to walk around the collection plate lol.......
Speaking as someone that Jewish... Sign me up to your church!
If that's what your church sounded like.. 👍
David Rogers check out the guitar player Jerry agape. Gospel band roots and funky as hell
Way funkier than anything they played at my church!
Lol 😂that’s because gospel is rooted in r&b and jazz.
I love the way Steve Jordan respects the drumset
We call it music
So rare this days
now this what we used to call...a "stone cold groove" damn, that pocket is deeeeeeeep.
the quiet section is simply marvelous
these two should've recorded an album as a duo.. this is awesome
I come here about once every other month. I don’t expect I’ll ever stop, as for these two, it’s worth the trip..
It's like we're junkies, hahah. Here for my daily "fix"
Steve jordan is an outstanding drummer
Discovered Steve’s DVD when I first got into drums and I still come back every once in a while to hear this jam
Superb !
R.I.P. Bernie, thanks for everything man !

Wow, the jazzy side of Bernie.
Bernie testing a Moog synth bought me here...
気持ち良い演奏ですね! 1:56あたりからの少し静かになるドラムのパターンが好き
Jordan is a true master of the groove.
No circus … just music ❤❤❤
A great lesson in groove and dynamics! Thank you.

Beyond syncopation between the legendary BERNIE WORRELL and the legendary STEVE JORDAN.
Just a joy to watch Steven enjoy himself on the drum kit.
Takes years to get that feel and groove. There’s a lot happening here and it’s all good
that ludwig kit sounds soooooooo nice!

Now that's the way to feel the groove.
That Sound... Awesome...
That dvd is awesome because the form of record the drum kit: with out microphones! So beautiful!
SM-57 workhorse gang
The placement of those ghost notes...
Now that's how you play groove with little to no fills!!
Two of my favorite musicians. Timeless
The piano is accompanying the drums!
That's what Bernie did. Made everyone better.
To all those drum teachers who told me there's 3 levels of dynamics: silence, ghost notes and accents, explain this? 2:07
jea sick. thats what i like about oldschool dnb/jungle breaks :D dynamics man
I brought me here...
Same here! Those two names together how can you not watch and listen?
Love that snare
Fantastic !!!
The Wizard of Woo taking it easy and groovin’ w/ Mr. Jordan? Niiiiice
both players did elegant demonstrations.
this is rather blues than funk to dare speak about.
It's all blues-based man. Ain't no funk without blues.
Reminds me of some 60's Ramsey Lewis.
Great jazzy laidback feel
Those ghost notes
I can imagine playing bass alongside them.
Bravo !!!!

Thats a very Al Jackson Jr esque beat
This reminds me of Smiling Billy Higgins. No bigger compliment for Steve.
Reminds me of Stevie wonder
So tasty!
Like John Bonham, Steve Gadd, Levon Helm, Ringo Starr, and Steve Smith ...

Chris Serpicø you forget Bernard “Pretty” Purdie ...
