  • Aerial drone flying over Rovaniemi, Finland shows the biggest city in the Lapland area. A beautiful capitol for the Sami people :) Spent come time in Santa Claus Village; however, I did not want to share a video of this proprietary area so you will need to travel here and enjoy. Enjoyed my drive throughout the north and western area; however, returning here realing gave me that at home feeling. Please use caution hiking in the Scandinavian Mountains or the Scandes area with snow as I found the temperatures dropped a little faster than I am accustomed to in the Rockies or the Cascades without a storm or nightfall; it was more similar to temperature drops I felt in the Carpathian Mountains. Found some beautiful deer hiking without paths and only a compass on my drive to Tromso so look at the photos on www. JGlowacki.com .
I hope you enjoy and subscribe to this TH-cam drone channel while seeing my travels from an aerial view above nature, towns and cities in the UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia, US, Canada, and several islands @ / jamesbebop . Or please visit my photo website with photos of 49 countries/islands, all 50 states and all but one province in Canada that I could not drive through at www.JGlowacki.com . I love to drive throughout the world whether on the right or left with either left-hand steering or right-hand steering and of course I have become accustomed to using a stick-shift with both hands :) I truly enjoy the great food and discussions with locals where I have been blessed to travel. Included on this channel are some driving and snorkeling videos and even a couple bike rides I recorded.
You can also see my beginning drone videos looking at 2016 dates when I filmed in safe nature areas. I practiced how to crash safely, how to fly with three propellers and how to ground the drone and drive to it. I practiced in snow, rain and extreme cold to make sure I understood the drones limitations before I went to the big cities. I handle a drone like I do a gun and I truly hope others do the same.
Please share your thoughts with me; even if they are not easy to read, I need to know how I am meeting your expectations 😊
    Thank you,
    James

Hi Danny, I did not feel shooting a video in this area would do more than show proprietary information so I took a couple pictures instead. You can find my pics at www.JGlowacki.com - look for Finland folder. Here is one pic, www.jglowacki.com/var/albums/Finland/IMG_0317%281%29.jpg?m=1570858468 . It is impressive and I hope you get to see it live one day :)

Well this is the capital of modern Lapland province. There's only around 10 000 Sami people in Finland, even Lapland has a population of 180 000, the city is as completely ethnically as Finnish as the south of Finland... yes in the way north of Lapland there are Sami people... this is Southern Lapland, a distinctive area called "Peräpohjola" that used to be a part of the Ostrobothnia historical province until 1938... otherwise... nice job and great video! :)

Thank you - I enjoy the northern parts of our world the most, with nature and real people. Also I have a love for what I have not seen so traveling is my passion and showing others is easier than trying to explain what I see 😎

I have most of these countries posted here along with all of Canada that I can drive or Ferry to. For me I enjoy most of the people I meet when traveling for up to 6-weeks at a time. Denmark had a fuel attendant that was not all smiles, one shop owner outside the Vatican charged me double for a meal to include 4 euros for a small bottle of water, Serbia sent me back through Kosovo to Macedonia for a passport stamp and then stripped my rental car before entering Hungry, Canada once let me donate my shotgun to the Queen even with all my paperwork, but I have never had any issues anywhere to include all of the Balkans. Turkey and Romania have given me the best upgrades and amenities. Greece was not as conversational; however, I had some awesome meals and views. Southern Italy has the best nookie if you order it the old way. Most of my time though is with nature so upper Canada, Finland, Norway, Alaska all provide beautiful still photos for me to enjoy; www.JGlowacki.com . I was actually supposed to be in Canada again this year from the northern Rockies to Tuk. I learned to go to the smaller areas for more social people like Northern Albania or Southwest France which is away from all the tourist and hustle. take care 😎
