interesting how that fluffy man-balloon blew up, noticed how entire thing kind of like got "sucked" into middle? almost as if bomb generated a vaccuum and then it got sucked into it. i would have thought that material gets ripped into shreds and pushed outwards, but instead it kind of like imploded.
It is used without "wet" as well. Or at least people use it sometimes. I think, since wet paper bag is weaker, probably with "wet" is right. Would they overlook this though?
The fart machine is no good for this test. Sure they can heat the air to body temp, but the gas coming out of a person might not be that temp. It could be cooler (unlikely) or much hotter. I know some of my "Flatus" comes out feeling super hot sometimes. The machine just can't simulate the right environment and mechanics.
The problem was they used air rather than methane (the main component of real farts). Air is transparent to infrared whereas methane absorbs it quite strongly, and I can easily imagine methane showing up as black on FLIR images due to the infrared absorbtion.
I don't understand why the show has this desaturated colour look. The earlier seasons were nice and colourful, whereas this last season looks really dull. Maybe it was the style at the time, and an attempt to make the show more "badass" (whatever that means...).
"... if you were dropped from a thousand feet in a cushioned mattress..." ; how high doesn't matter. What matters is terminal velocity and they don't mention it at all.
adam got that wrong det cord is what sets off the det cap not the other way around and det cord can be set off by simply snapping it or by a small static charge
He got it right - what you're thinking of is shock cord. The stuff they're using on the show is quite similar in construction, but contains a *lot* more explosive material. It's normally used to distribute a shock front to several larger charges or as a delay line. However, a sufficiently long piece produces a substantial blast on its own. It also needs a blasting cap to initiate the shock front, since the explosive filler is usually something a little more stable.
Finally a new episode! That "Gonna Fly Now" knockoff during the fight was fun
its 10 years old...
@defense200x The episode itself maybe, but the upload is new
Now that's a real glitterbomb Mr. Rober.
"Paperweight championship" that's a good one.
I always heard the saying as "can't punch your way out of a wet paper bag"
25:29 when it ISN’T just a flatus….
and its a shart

By the way the saying is ‘can’t punch your way out of a wet paper bag’
That's what I thought too.

Crossing fingers for a mythbusters+slowmoguys+howridiculous colb one day
i have ptsd from savages laughter
39:00 the bag always rips at the corners, where i guess the paper cant move as much (with gloves)
39:52 just looks so great.
Today this would get removed for promoting violence. rip reddit
Also Reddit got into alliance wuth Google...
It's okay, let some Nazis and conspiracy theorists post in the comments and the thread will hit the front page
At the blast of the cartoon figure it's top of head looks sucked down instead of blowing up. you should test this phenomenon in future episode maybe.
I love mythbusters, but damn couldn't they have used paper/biodegradable glitter?
No, paper bag was BUSTED, not Confirmed. Adam easily punched out of the bag.

Busters dead! Yeah but more importantly, the shock watches worked. Classic.
There should have been a Mythbusters museum
There was a Mythbusters exhibition that went on tour after the show ended, but I think it ended in 2019
I would have started with Buster in the ball and then, the control. Just in case
Just step on the bag and punch ull go threw in 1 hit lol
If a myth is busted that means it’s not a myth. Not that it is a myth.
how much environmental damage does that glitter do???
What's with the carbonated water? Is he going to want to fart or burp? Have some beans, man.
Exactly. Farts are produced by the fermentation of vegetable matter in the intestines, not from drinking carbonated water.
Only Redditors would be dumb enough to think that 'thermal imaging camera catches a fart' video was real lol
Density..

The earlier episodes were closer to the 90's... Everything needed to be super flashy then
Adam didn’t need to say P. O. V. , Point Of View has the same amount of syllables.
POV is easier and quicker to say. Say it out loud.
Lithobreaking is overrated. Unless maybe you're on Mars. Even then probably best not to try it with a manned craft.

Other than at 07:42 when they talk about terminal velocity
@@WillMcc_WriterGoblin They show it in the animation. They mention 56mph. Was this measured ? Nowhere I can see in the actual drop tests.
@@francoisleveille409 18:37
@@Hoggaforfan It says 'estimated'. Not the real number.
Anybody knows what's that curious looking copter at 00:14 ?
Looks like an S-58T
@@UniqueFrank just looked it up, you are right. ty.
They tell you later in the video.

"you can't pucnh out of a paper bag" refers to the fact that you should use your brain instead of muscles
No
When I see the gym part, god bless the annoying urban lumbersexual hipster fashion is over.
As to the woke fashions we have today?
