This is honestly one of the best videos I have ever seen. You speak slowly, and for the first time ever watching a russian video, I was able to not only learn the new words, but also think about why you conjugate each sentence that way....I've been studying Russian for a long time and I've never been able to do this before, even in other slow Russian videos! Even though it's more for an advanced beginner, I think that your videos will help intermediate learners as well! Спасибо! 😊

This is for advanced beginner? Oh, wow! It's my first week since I seriously started learning Russian. Before that I used Duolingo for a couple of months but it was really boring at some point and there is absolutely no grammar explanation, so it was pointless after a while. I could follow this video though I don't know many words yet, but I remember some from Duolingo and other videos (I subscribed to other 3 channels, they are all good for different reasons) I have been watching last week and with the context it helped me understand maybe 40% of this video.

@@PerdoSanchez-st8ibno spanish is easier in my opinion. But to each their own. Russian has alot of conjugation and changes. They change ajdectives and nouns depending on the cases😢 which is pretty nice to include in a language but it's a little over the top for some russian learners but for me it's not that hard because i stay consistent and learn russian everyday

I started to learn Russian three years ago as my newest language. I am fascinated by language acquisition, that of my students or my own. I taught college Spanish for 41 years! Russian has been a struggle, much harder than any other spoken language I have done, and I'm on language number 8. But my 72 year old brain needed a new challenge so I struggled along with Duolingo and Rosetta Stone and other tools I found online. And then I discovered In Russian from Afar! Finally a teacher who is creative, funny, warm and,... who understands how to provide true comprehensible input at an A1 or A2 level. I watch these Slow Russian, A1 or A2 videos over and over and sometimes I do not need English subtitles. I am so happy to have found this channel. Thank you Sergey!

Hi, hope all is well! I’m Vietnamese but I speak only English because I was born in North America. I’ve been learning Russian every day for seven months and I really like it a lot. It was just by chance I found this channel, but I was surprised this was filmed in Vietnam! How is it like living in Vietnam? I’ve never been to Vietnam but I wish to go there someday because it’s where my family is from. Also, I wish to go to Russia and speak Russian fluently! It’s kind of late, but I will say Chuc Mung Nam Moi 🧧🎊🐅! I subscribed to your channel, thank you Russian From Afar, keep up the good work!!

Hey Emma!) Thank you for reaching out!
Well, living in Vietnam is many things! It's friendly people, delicious food, beautiful nature, but also animal cruelty, hyper-capitalism (in a "socialistic" state), super hot and humid) Many things) I actually recorded my first podcast episode about my life in Vietnam, you can check it out here: open.spotify.com/episode/5S9cobC35JY6OsNW46UGnr?si=_vVzKlV-SrOUf5WtFuDMBA
It's a bit more advance, but you can still get some of it)
Chuc Moi Nam Moi for you as well :) Hope to see you in Russian or in Vietnam someday)

Отличное видео! Understandable speed and clear pronunciation. Please keep making videos in this speed!🙏 Because even though I can understand some words in a faster speed but the problem is, it takes time for my brain to process and translate it so it always has a delay. And this speed is what I've been long looking for. And it's a good speed for shadowing too. I also like that you used very simple sentence structures. It's just like the random words I know but put them in a story. I'll definitely rewatch for a couple of times.
