Apologies for the scratchy audio in the first half! This match took way too long to make... Hopefully the rest won't be as troublesome. Anyways, the current plan is to proceed with the EX6 tournament and complete it before moving on to the BT17 battles (due to the theme of BT17, I don't think I'll be running a traditional tournament for it). Looks like I'll be playing the catch up game for a while!
I usually don´t comment but the quality of this video made me want to thank you for making such great content Your videos are the best digimon tcg ones I have seen keep up the great work!
Man I really was hyped up for this match, and it definitively didn't dissapoint, my only complaint would be that, I know how you played was the better play, but since you knew it was over, you could had the 2 bosses of the decks clash in the end for style points. Otherwise, really loved this video!
Fun fact, with the starter deck's Durandamon and EX6's Duramon you can essentially become a quad-breaker. By lowering Duramon into Durandamon, it inmediately becomes a 14K triple breaker. And if you have ST1 Tai, if Durandamon has 4 or more sources, it can break 4 shields in one go. It becomes a potential otk if you have 3 digimon in play (make sure to land the last blow with spadamon)
A thing: gate counts itself when counting different names. It says cards, not digimon with 7gdl. Ogudomon can be played when you have 6 7gdl in it's sources because Gate counts as being the 7th name. Unsure if you were counting Gate as a name for it's effects or not. (gate cannot be sucked up by Odugomon's when attacking however, so you do need that 7th in trash somewhere)
Wasn't sure if you were, it's easy to forget about Gate contributing to itself for it's own effects as it feels like it should only count the 7gdl's themselves. Something I also forgot to mention, the 7gdl themselves and the gate tuck cards with the trait, not just digimon, the advent option does specify Digimon though.
The editing on this was phenomenal like omg its so awesome. As for the match i cant say i didnt expect the result but it was hype. Heres a few tips to fight against demon lords 1. Stack ur board (hard to do due to cards like belphe rage bt13&ex6 ) 2. Destroy their board (preferably by battle so belphe, levia, daemon, beelze don trigger their second effect) 3. Return their trash with ipm ace😂 Also when fighting 7gdl try not to let luce heal since more than likely they are healing a 7gdl or spell which means clasing into something 11k or higher. The ragna put up a good fight. I personally have a red base ragna which is about the same list just swap bt3 ludo for bt3 zuba laplace is swapped to delicate plan and tai is swapped to bt1 tai (im thinking of changing to hiro) its explosive damage with no fear of getting screwed by security checks
If Rust had a different LV5 in hand, then he could have evolved into that level 5, then use RaijiLudomon to force one of the Demon lords to attack at the start of the turn, and then evolve into Bryweludramon. And in that scenario, performing a Blast Jogress at that moment would vaporize Ogudomon before it had a chance to waste the enemy security, which means that Ragnaloardmon would only take one or two damage that turn. Unfortunately, I assume that Rust did not have the means for that.
Rust in EX-05 tournaments : What even is Biting Crush.Let me call it with it actual name.Rostrum. Rust in Ex-06 tournament : Call it Biting Crush instead of Rostrum Me : ... Huh?
Three removals on security was rough. Decks with protection, sticky bodies or swarming usually have a good matchup v 7dl (which is a stall for what is basically Exodia deck), but hitting so much removal in security is rough. 7dl excels v "traditional" decks that make big stack slowly.
The ending was phenomenal. Great seeing Ragnalordmon Ace fend the demon lords off. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough. Great deck lists but wow, the 4 Raremon made my wallet hurt. Probably going to use st12 Blanc instead.
@@rustmarrow Fair. Simulators bypass the money problem. I kind of like her in the deck because I’m a sucker for horror movies and Nunsploitation movies are a thing Eg the Nun, Sister Death, Immaculate etc.

How did this match up go throughout your practice matches? Did it seem like the demon lords won most of the time? Or was the ratio pretty close together?
@@rustmarrow Well I expected that reply... But it still makes me very sad. The whole Ragnalordmon line is some of my favorite digimon and they keep getting overshadowed by the other decks that release at the same time. :( Regardless, it was a great video! Excellent editing and commentary!
I have a question. How can Ogudomon attack when it was just played? Is playing it like that like taking it out of breeding area? or does it gain rush somewhere?
@@rustmarrow appreciate I didn't read that part, honestly if you said "because I said so" I wouldn't have questioned you. You got me into my 1st tcg of digimon which got me into the TCG world.
10:29 beelzemon cannot de digivolve duramon because the de digivolve needs a level something higher than level 3 to proceed and since it had a lvl 2 the effect misses
Helluva fun fight, but I have one question: Could have sworn de-digivolve doesn’t work once a target is lvl 3 (or lower), so at 10:20, wouldn’t Duramon’s de-digi have stopped at the egg, and thus deleted it cause eggs can’t stay out?
The only thing you can't de-digivolve is a level 3 or it has no sources. It doesn't actually care about level 2. However de-digivolve is inherintly an up to effect that you declare when you decide the target. So you can just trash to a level 2, which is hen trashed(not deleted)
Yep what Dylan said! Unfortunately I have been following an outdated ruling and thought De-Digivolve must trash as much as possible but have since been filled in!
Deletion due to DP being reduced to 0, as well as trashing due to a digi-egg in the battle area having no DP are rules processes, which don't interrupt an ongoing effect. It would only be if the lv2 Kakkinmon were still left in the battle area after Beelzemon's dedigivolve finished that it would be trashed.
close match in cardprotagonist, even this one. Cmon give legend arms some love Thou this also can bring to the plot where Barbamon being sneaky as he is. Take legend arms data to become OmegaArmaMon Burst Mode
I am confuse about Leviamon now.Does if effect triger when other demon lord play or it work with him just being play?Since it is not an on play effect so how did Leviamon trash when he first appear.
The 7GDL deck could use some work. All the top decks run Yggdrasil. If Yggdrasil is the FIRST tama, you get -12 play cost Demon Lords that don't get deleted. It's wild.
Am well aware of the Ygg tech! But for my vids my focus is on keeping the decks as thematic/lore-based as possible, hence no Ygg, Sister or Ruin Mode etc
10:24 when beelzemon de-digivolved Duramon and became Kakinmon with the first de-digivolve it should've been deleted since it became a lvl2. De-digivolve checks the lvl2-3 condition after each card is removed. This happened to me with an Oryuumon stack back in BT-08 so i still have the judges mail liying around XD
Well Rustmarrow plays right by the rule just not the best move in that situation in this case when the effect of is used it can be selected to de-digivolve 1 to x except when LV3 is in the way in this case he can just stop at de-digivolve 1 to stop it at kakkinmon to let it destroy by the game rule instead. It will be different in case of de-digivolve 1 x times that way you cannot stop in midway for example the effect of "metal impulse" if you trash 3 cards from the hand it we forces you de-digivolve 3 levels without stopping in the midway except meeting level 3 in the midway or digimon is out of digivolution source
Mostly right, De-digivolve only stops at lvl 3 or no digivolution cards however it is also an "Up to X" effect so 7GDL could still choose to only trash one card leaving kakkinmon to be sent to trash by rules process. Same result but not mandatory in every situation.
It seems like this was an unfortunate matchup. Ragnalordmon as black red is really good at deleting & interacting with your opponent's Digimon, but the 7 demon Lords keep deleting their own Digimon until they build up for their big boss monster. So then it became a game of no interaction, who can build up their big boss monster best. The demon Lords can do that on their own, but Ragnalord needs the interaction for its ace evolution and control mechanics. Ah well! Perhaps it would've fared better against another deck. I'm a Ragnalord fanboy all the way!

one cool thing about the gate,it count the other gates under him to the different names,so you just need 4 cards with the 7gdl and 1 gate to the 12 cost reduction

@@captingamer29 i just read it and it doesnt out it unless the ragna player specifically only drew red line the entire game. The new raiji prevents the deletion effect at the end of the turn and if theres multiple each one can prevent and on the switch to opponents turn it becomes immune to digimon effects.
