I use a 6lb maul & wedges for big donut splitin. My 076 super w/42" bar, likes big stump cuts like that, but I dont like to carry it very far. An old classic still in good shape. You ever use a pickaroon good for moving firewood dounuts, or reaching in truck to get wood out.
Man those oak butt rounds are tough lol gotta figure its been supporting the weight of that whole tree for longer then we been alive..your a beast brother turn it into paper one way or another good work

Splitting by is a lot of fun. I learn to carry two steel wedge and a sledge hammer for such occasion.

I always use a 8 lb. mall when I split bigger stuff and a ax when splitting smaller stuff.

When you split big wood with an ax or a maul start chiping off the sides and work your way to the middle
My favorite thing to do is break wood with a axe / maul.
