      Eternal life in heaven is a free gift from God. No human being deserves it due to his/her good works. We have all sinned and fall short in glory of God(eg.Jesus says if any man looks at woman with lust he has committed adulterly with her in his heart..No man is that pure😅). So how did God give us this free gift🤔? He sent his only begotten son to be betrayed,humiliated ,beaten and die as fine/payment for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Since he is a just God and has to punish sin. All you have to do is humbly repent of all your sins(read the 10 commandments) honestly turn away from them. Believe in/trust that Jesus did that for you. Confess with your mouth that he is your lord and saviour..You will be saved from hell🔥. The holyspirit(his omnipresent spirit) will in dwell within you and convert your cold heart of stone into that of flesh that can truly love God and be a slave of righteousness and not of sin. This might be the last time you read the true gospel of salvation..look around 🔥🔥 the end is nigh. Please don't reject God's gift. Your soul is on the line.Jesus loves you❤

    Tbf, Aang was a prodigy. He got his tattoos (proves he 'mastered' airbending) by the time he was 12. He had help from 4 other prodigies of their own: Katara being a prodigy water bender (seen from her extreme growth in skill in under a year), able to blood bend almost immediately after she learned of it's existence. Hama spent years trying to get the hang of it, yet Katara did it immediately. Toph, who was arguably one of the best earthbenders in the world, save for possibly King Bumi. She did invent metalbending (you can debate if she invented it or just rediscovered it). Zuko, being the prince of the Fire Nation, eventually becoming fire lord. While not as good as Azula, I'd admit, he is still one of the most powerful and skillful fire benders in the world. He had the knowledge of dragons, too. Something only few could ever say to have. Zuko, however, is seen to be a weak fire bender in his childhood, but he did grow out of it in the end. Then there's Sokka, who is, in my opinion, a genuine example of a prodigy. He learned swordskills in a few days, eventually going toe to toe with a master for a decent amount of time. That's extremely impressive.
    Funnily enough, the Beach episode in season 3 kinda talks about this in some way. Those kids, who are all between 12 and 16, mind you, are not exactly normal kids. Focusing on Zuko, Azula, Ty Lee, and Mai, the episode showcases and comments on how they arent normal teens. They are children of royalty, children of wartime. They are prodigies through and through.
    Though, as to if it was just biology, I cant say. What I can say, however, is that they all had strong motive. Aang, specifically, is a perfect example of mastering things, those being the elements.
    Aang has serious motivation (you can doubt it in the first season, but imo it's because he doesnt realize what is at stake), which is what allows him to be such a skillful person.
    He is the one person in the ENTIRE WORLD who can use 4 elements. That uniqueness amplifies determination. He is the lifeline for humans and spirits alike, protecting balance. He is the one person responsible for ending a 100 year long war, facing the strongest firebender in the world, with power being amplified by Sozin's comet. He has about 1 year to master 3 other elements, something previous avatars did in multiple years. He is with other prodigies, getting the best masters possible for him. The entire world and every person depends on *him* for saving the world, where if he fails, the 4 nations will fall and be taken over by the fire nation. He has pressure. So much damm pressure. He doesn't have a choice in the matter. If he doesn't master the elements, one could say the world is over. It wouldnt be over, imo, but nonetheless, it would *not* be a good thing.
    TLDR; the biggest key that Aang had that allowed him to master 3 other elements in a year was true reason to do so. He may not have been conscious of it, but knew anyways. Reason for doing something is what makes good people great, and great people awesome.
    At least that's my take.

    I think you missed the point with the "you tried positive reinforcement, didn't you?". Aang needed to learn to be strong and stubborn like the earth. That couldn't be taught with encouragement, and he couldn't go with the flow of his teacher. He had to stand up for himself, and Toph made herself his adversary so he could have someone to do it to. Toph was a great teacher, but not because she fit his style. She was a great teacher because she knew what he needed.

      Actually, no. Toph was being stubborn yelling at him when he wasn't doing what she wanted. She also pushed him past his breaking point, rolling a massive boulder while he was blindfolded. He wasn't ready for that. Katara told Toph she had great success teaching with positive reinforcement. Aang was a very childlike monk, along with his guardian and master, Gyatso. Aang learns best when he's having fun, and not at all, otherwise. Similar issue with Jeong Jeong, his methods were restrictive, agonizing, and boring.
      Toph was being serious when she said it worked wonders. Aang went from not being able to Earthbend at all, and being quite scared, to suddenly being confident, strong, and having fun.

    • @CalebTerryRED
      @CalebTerryRED 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@mariomguy everyone can have their own interpretation and we don't have to agree. That being said, I strongly disagree. Each element has its own personality, and certain traits that you need to have to bend it. Air was light and free, and goes with the flow. Aang was the personification of airbending, he was nonconfrontational and evasive. It's the complete antithesis of earth bending, at the beginning of the episode Aang wants to hit the rock at a different angle, do something different, be evasive. Toph makes it clear, there's no other way than to be stubborn and hit it head on. That just wasn't in his nature, which is why it was so hard for him to learn. Toph pushing him to the breaking point and being stubborn wasn't her being a jerk. It's what earth bending is. Aang's usual tactics and learning strategies were never going to work, he had to be pushed past the breaking point.
      Aang didn't learn earth bending from toph saying "you're ready" nicely, he learned to be stubborn and stand his ground because he had no other option. He used air bending to take on the giant moose lion, but taking it head on is the stubborn earth bending style. Then he yelled at toph for the mean things she had been doing, and *that's* when she knew she had broken him out of his non-confidential rutt. Then he could confront the rock

    Fantastic vid! Love the usage of Avatar. I'd be curious to hear a deeper take on personality affecting learning. In particular with this show. Azula was amazing throughout the series. Skills wise she was second to none. Did her seemingly emotionless demeanor aid her skill development? I'm curious. She never appeared vulnerable until the episode when she spoke of her mother.

      As a practitioner myself, IMHO I would advise you to at least not do the three at the same time because it will be harder to learn as each martial art is based on a unique approach. Maybe try the three for a month each and find a style and a school that fits you. You'll learn how to learn with your body. Then when you feel ready after some years of training in one style you could learn one more and you will learn much faster the new style as some of the preliminary work will be already done. You will have the ability to translate one style into another.

The holyspirit(his omnipresent spirit) will in dwell within you and convert your cold heart of stone into that of flesh that can truly love God and be a slave of righteousness and not of sin.
