oh damn, knowing that the second song didn't have a bridge when you mentioned it about the first one i kept thinking "boy is she gonna be surprised by the last one". you also posted something once asking people about their opinion on the best kpop bridge and i commented "Hot" thinking you already knew the song. either way i think nayeon and mina executed that perfectly and the bridge is legendary

When you said “I need a bridge” I straight away thought, DONT WORRY MINA HAS YOUR BACK 😍😍😍 Mina is the queen of bridges, she literally changes up the whole vibe of the songs! Adlibs and instrumental ATE.
HOT is such an important song to me bc I kinda stopped listening to kpop in 2019 so in 2020 I wanted to catch up with twice's music and it totally caught me off guard bc I think is was the first time I've OBSESSED with a twice song. It kinda makes sense bc from fancy to now, their discography has been improving a looooot

definitely one of my favorite music reactors i’ve been really enjoying watching your journey of diving into twice’s discography they have one of the best in the industry in my opinion. i hope we get to see it all the way through up until their first mini album the story begins. their older stuff is gold
Anything Momo writes is honestly an automatic favourite for me. HOT and TURN IT UP, which Sana wrote are my favourite tracks in the album. Fun fact: GIRLS LIKE US I think was composed by Charli XCX.
I hope your speakers get fixed, but when you’re reacting to lyric videos I highly recommend watching line distributions from this youtube channel named random_k. Their videos are really spot on with line distributions and they even include adlib distributions. Like all other lyric videos, they have the lyrics in Korean and English on top of a romanization. If they actually do have the videos for the songs😂, which they normally have for TWICE. They also have a new channel for japanese songs named random_j, but it’s fairly new and they haven’t posted much.

Hot is one of my favourite twice songs, it has made it on to my summer playlist each year. It serves everything I want in every way.
The highlight for me though is how that bridge just elevates you into the last chorus and you hear Jihyos high note phase into the synths. On that final chorus we get some new sounds and ad libs. Then they repeat the chorus and they have that simple melody in the second half but I just LOVE it.
For what I remember (and it could have changed) SIMH is used as the concert opener, directly opening with this hype song is pretty nice to get energized :D

The reason why some songs do not really have a bridge but use rap instead is that there are people who prefer rap, so sometimes need to cater to them as well. Not all songs need a bridge just like not all songs need rap.
I just feel like rap is better suited during the verses, especially the 2nd verse of a song rather than completely removing a bridge which is an essential part of a song structure. A rap can be placed anywhere but not a bridge. The bridge is also the instrumental not just vocals (singing/rap). If they had put the rap during the 2nd verse I would have enjoyed it a lot more, or like I said in the video, a rap verse leading into a bridge.
@@fifizappareacts I am fine with a good bridge, but sometimes, I will like to be surprised by random weird Kpop song structures. And of course, there are songs that I felt could be better, just like you, since everyone has differing preferences and song producers can satisfy us all, so I am glad that Twice releases loads of songs so we can those we like a lot, and those we like a little lesser.
Fun fact! Girls Like Us was written by Jihyo and Charlie XCX! (not entirely sure if Charlie wrote, composed, or produced this but I know she helped in making this song)

I think sometimes an artist will leave out a bridge to try and make a song as formulaic as generic pop structure eg; v1, pre, chorus, v2, pre, chorus, bridge, chorus
However, twice choruses always hit hard (especially the Mina ones and that NaHyo touchdown sing off...)

If they did the bridge then the rappers would have no line to sing in the song.I like it that there is variety in Twice songs.If they did every song the same structure people could get bored.
The rappers could rap during the verses or like I said in this video before or after the bridge. The bridge is a fundamental part of a song and without it, it makes the song bland in my opinion. There could have been a rap verse without removing the melodic bridge.

also, best lyric video to watch are the ones who uses their official colors, should go in this order:
- baby blue / sky blue
- yellow green?
- pink
- purple
- yellow, kinda
- mint green
- white
- red
- dark blue / aqua blue
The songs sound like generic black pink songs. Disappointment
