- I am building an incredible underground movie theatre in my mansion. Today I am digging the massive hole it is going to be built inside of.

Cole, I love the underground movie theatre, but I struggle to imagine you ever stopping long enough to watch a movie 😂
I bet his wife and kids are gonna love it.
winters are quieter for them...
My thought, too.
He can watch it at 11pm once he's finished farming :P then 4 hours sleep before next day
My first thought to...he never sits still long enough to enjoy a movie.
Cole, the U/G theatre is going to be awesome but it will serve as an excellent tornado/ storm shelter for you and your family. Being built outside the original footprint of the house if god forbid the worst happened, you would not be trapped under the wreckage of the main building. Consider an escape entrance away from the main structure. Cheers everyone.
I though the same thing - lots of very strong steal beams/concrete in the ceiling....
It's potential as a storm shelter is, in my opinion, the only reason this project has merit. The movie theater alone would be folly.
I agree it would make an excellent storm shelter. I would add another exit to the outside. Roman is a great asset to the farm. He is the king beast of beasts!!
Cole, I agree that you should consider putting in a storm shelter. You are at a absolutely perfect time to install. Two additional concrete walls and a ceiling.
Came here to say exactly this. Don't forget to build it as a tornado shelter that just so happens to have a movie theater in it! You guys are doing great; it's going to be awesome when you're done.
OWWW Daddy Cornstar that is the absolute definition of ONE OF THOSE DAYS 😢💕🇦🇺💕
I would wait until the IRS invited me to court. Then let the judge deal with it when the IRS didn't show up.
nancy, reminded me when I had to call Medicare for my Grandma, I don't know how many hours I was on the phone. ☹ Lord, help me! 🤣
I love how you show that problems do come up and you don't freak out, but just solve them with a plan of action. It shows the reality of things just happen.
shelley - YES! Why can't I be like Cole?! 🤣
@@Jane_Snow_ You need more money
Justin is a carpenter first not a labor worker that's why we're not seeing him as much
This has to be one the best series. Loving the content and don’t want it to end!!!
Dude. Pour the floor flat and then build your seating platforms. Storage under, mechanical under, tucked away, easy access. Plus you could change designs down the road so much easier down the road. Platforms could be simple; posts and beams, or steel.
Yes this is usually the route people go.
Did you really not watch and listen to him say he is doing the exact thing you just suggested he do?
Way to go genius. Lol
Yes. I went full couch potato quarterback jumped the shark. I wrote the comment in the first five minutes. I am sorry for falling for Cole’s verbal clickbait.
Looks like this could be a nice storm shelter too.
That old truck is a national treasure.we love that ole truck 😢❤❤❤
Cole, I do remember watching you in a earlier video, saying you were “going to clean up the farm “. You have done a mighty job mate.👍🇦🇺🇺🇸👍
You know it’s a good day when Cole posts a new video
Love how candid you are about any issues that pop up. Can't wait to see the finished movie theater!
I’m not knowledgable about home theaters but my initial thought would be to build it like a normal empty room then build the theater inside it. That way if you ever want to ditch the theater down the road you aren’t stuck with a weird room with a stair stepped concrete floor
I agree…… it limits the sq footage. I guess they will have this house forever unless his kids decide they don’t want a farm.
Great Job Cole! You to Roman! To all the viewers with soft ears use your volune!
Those floors have been vacuumed more then some folks vacuum in a year lol
I worked one winter as a carpenter's helper. It was for a framer, and we were building big houses on stilts on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.i kept our worksites clean, swept, and picked up pieces of boards. I also learned how to put on cedar shakes to the outside of the houses. So when I see you and Roman cleaning up all the time, it reminds me of that job. It was a fun job.
at this point im convinced you're winging the floorplan as you go xD
Yup, next the theater will need an attached bathroom.
@@marshalltille7770 what problem would that be if he does want a bathroom in the theatre?
I bet 90% of builds get added onto and changed as they go, i dont think thats a problem when the guy doing the building is the same one paying for it.
@@marshalltille7770 They have a basement bath planned for.
@@warrenmichael918jackhammer the new floor and add services
If I ever build or remodel another home, I’m doing a version of that movie theater 🎭
Very informative and entertaining to watch. You guys stay safe!
Amazing effort as always . Positive attitude constantly on.
That’s what keeps me coming back. On and Roman
As a retired Chartered Accountant here in the UK (UK FCA=US CPA) I spent FIFTY YEARS dealing with that situation with our tax regulators (UK Inland Revenue = US IRS). It was bad in the 1970s, got worse and worse and worse and eventually became intolerable and so I quit dealing with tax man 23 years ago and became a consultant forensic accountant until I retired. I empathise with you totally. Good Luck and I truly hope you don't have to take matters to Court.
What does a forensic accountant do? I'm going to start a CPA soon!
@@daniellehulme-lowe5910 Basically I worked for a firm of Barristers tracing where money/shares/assets came from and went to and also advising on various tax matters - VAT, Income Tax and corporation tax - I'm from the UK so I don't know exactly the regime in the US. It took 40 years in practice to get the experience.
I can't wait for phase 15, gymnasium, tennis court, swimming pool, golf course.
A maze, zoo, amusement park
its amazing how farms and businesses that dont make any money/profit, can afford to do anything and buy anything they want and take trips etc etc etc . i wish i was that poor !!!!!!
@@BUDSBEAU To be fair, Cole & Nave lived in an absolutely *TORN UP* house for almost 4 years... Meanwhile, Cole has been squirreling away his TH-cam money - because he knew how expensive it would ultimately cost to renovate their house... So, Cole saved and saved... and saved some more! TH-cam is Cole's very lucrative "side hustle", but it's not "farming". Cooper has a side hustle. Daddy Cornstar has a side hustle (his own YT channel, plus graveyard duties). Nothing wrong with hard work! That being said, it's a well known fact that farmers usually work in the negatives. Maybe they can squeak out a little profit here and there, but overall, it is a *VERY* demanding and never ending job with not a lot to show for it (so not sure what you're point is about that). And, as soon as they *DO* make a profit - they roll it into new equipment - which still keeps the coffers near empty. If you had been watching Cole's attention to detail - and how he's been systematically fixing up his Grandpa's farm over the last 5 or so years - then you'd know how hard he works! He deserves to have some vacation time! Everything else is Cole saving up his pennies - which is incredibly wise!
The must haves for mansion !
You forgot the indoor vegetable 🥕 garden!
Once you get everything done, it’s gonna look amazing. We have a great ideas you had an awesome team.
Love the videos. I stumbled upon them back when you started tearing out the attic. This is a heck of a project you’re undertaking.
Cole. You are an expert driving the skid loader. Well done.
Might be going a little crazy on the theater steps.Three steps each level will be to much. Top will be looking down at the screen and bottom level will be looking up. Two is more than adequate. I would not suggest stepping the concrete. I would frame in the levels with wood. That give you the opportunity to run electrical underneath seats. Or running wires for transducers into the seats. Feel free to contact me if you need any advice. This is my business.
Thought the same thing. Will be so much easier to pour that flat
@@zencinema3245 looks like future water problems for sure.
He isnt stepping all the levels in concrete. He said he is building the steps and risers out of wood. I think the first step at 10 feet is just so he isnt digging way lower than his footer on the existing wall. He seems to have an idea of the theatre he wants from that picture he showed to us, it had 3 steps and looks about the size of the room he wants. I bet he has a plan and knows what size steps he will need, maybe? LOL
He stated that he will be pouring the floor flat and framing the steps up to the entrance. He also said that the added benefit of this will allow him to utilize the framed steps for hidden storage of pillows and blankets. Did you actually watch the entire episode or did you gloss over it at 2X?
@@hydro2wheel so why step the dirt? That makes no sense lol
My best friend built a basement theater. Bought all the recliners, popcorn machine, movie posters and velvet and a huge screen and now the kids are grown no one uses it. Was only used sporadically when they did use it. Said he wished he built a awesome home office instead.
This may be a dream of yours, but honestly, you don’t seem the type with a lot of surplus time on your hands to lay about and watch movies haha! Cheers
JUSTIN, where are you??
He'll probably be back when they start back to building or he could have other work he was obligated too.😊
I think he has a business to run... Roman seems competent to dig.
He is a carpenter, they arent doing any carpentry in these videos.
Juston separation anxiety?
Finally had enough of the bs and moved on imo!
Cole, don't forget you need to dig down and connect pipe to make sewer connections yet under that media room that are going to go out to the new mound system
Oh yeah
The way he's been planning the progress so far, he'll have no problem finishing the addition then jackhammering it all apart to put that in.

Helpful tip blow out vacuum filter with vacuum itself. Just switch the hose to the blow outlet
Cole, please quit yelling!! Have been watching and enjoying your content since you started. I still enjoy the content..however it is getting hard to watch a complete video. I either shut it off or just mute the sound. Keep up the great content... just use your quiet voice!
Extreme motion with yelling....closeup motion makes noise worse...
Never have a problem with him yelling, I just lower the volume.
I have a suggestion for you...please consider a whole house vacuum system....ports on every floor..all you do is hook up the port with the vacuum...❤😊
We had one of those when I was a kid...very cool and handy!
Yes! You won't regret it!
@s. reeves as long as he's doing a whole house vacuum system, he might
as well put in an intercom system, too. Had both in our NC home.
I do really like this project. The one thing I don't understand is why you need an underground movie theater, when you have such a huge house, attic, etc
How could you not know what a movie theatre is?
@@warrenmichael918 That is not what he/she said.
@@chrisallen2005 sure it is, kinda. He was wondering why Cole wants a movie theatre, i assumed he didnt know that a movie theatre was for watching movies. LOL
hit the nail on the head. absolutely no NEED for it. that is a WANT. when you have money to spend, you spend it HOW YOU WANT !!
Roman is GOLD!
Im not sure if uou said this but i would dig the basement the same depth all over and build wood form platforms and steps as one day you or someone may want to do something different with that space. Just my thought.
@@lindagonzales232 no chance you watched the video and listened to it because he just told us that is what he is doing.
@@lindagonzales232way to go genius.
Thanks for stepping in for the team Ron, you get things done fast. Super inpressed.
There may prettier and sexier trucks than that old beaten up raggedy old dump truck, but IT WORKS. Damn, thought that thing looked dead.
Take another look at truck ! It’s a GOLD bulldog MACK that means it a true Mack that’s why it took time to find the starter. Cole you should tell Cooper to build a dedicated service truck ! Tools for field rook , air compressor, welder & torch set up ! With air you could have use it and skid loader a pulled bye dump truck out of the way !
Betting that theater ain’t just fir movies. Awesome storm shelter
So is his basement
@@burtzorn4059 nope he’s a mental warrior this is underground which means a concrete roof and bomb proof. It’ll hold his entire family and it has the advantage of not being called a bomb shelter so nobody can say he’s nuts. From the mind of a genius.
Great video guys. 📹
Cole it's so much nicer when you talk in a quieter less animated voice. My wife did enjoy watching your videos with me. She just got up and left , I asked what are you doing and she replied I'm not listening to that silliness and I must agree with her ,,,see ya. Not sure what you are doing but take a chill pill and go back to the way you used to talk. I found a cure I just turned the sound off and tried to keep up reading what you were saying.
An FYI for when you are using forms. We installed stone and epoxy floors. We would wax - Johnson and Johnson paste wax - the side facing the stone mix just like the concrete. That should help you remove the forms. Just a thought. Love the videos
I absolutely love watching your videos. Been watching since you were a 22 year old farmer. Is screaming really that necessary.
Awesome video. Thank you guys
Yea! Go Cole and Roman! Great job!
These videos always put me in the mood to clean
I remember being young and wanting a movie theater just like that. Then kids happen and as they get older they have non-stop events and it's awesome. Winters are rough for us so I can see this coming in handy during the winter but also remember to spend time with the wife! Maybe one of the movie seats is a double reclining loveseat style.
You need to make a sled hill for the kids 😊
And bike track for rest of the year with a jump.
Coming along well Cole and Roman
Read the book Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel to your sons. It’s about a guy who digs a school basement and traps his steam shovel in the hole. He ends up using it as a boiler to heat the school. It’s an endearing story.
I'm 73 and I have a new copy of that book
Cole...just keep doing what you are doing ......people are so weird...i love your videos and look forward to all of them!
Terrific job Cole! 🎉
Thank you Cole for another great video.
Cole, please use your inside voice.
I hope at some point you make like a supercut series, where you mash like 5-10 videos into one so we can watch long format videos. I watch some other youtubers that do that with series and I love it. Great work and great content! I'm really enjoying this! I leave every video wishing the next one is out already!
Yeah, well done very good video. Better entertainment a lot of energy. A lot of hard work a lot of been done and I love it. God bless you and give you a lot of interest to finish that job in the name of Jesus.
Nice to hear your project underground movie theater a! Forward to see your new movie theater soon!
With all the extra dirt, you’re digging up for the basement theater, you’re going to build enough to make a perfect backstop for a small little shooting range
That was more funner then I thought it was going to be . My favorite part was when the man your barrowing the big dump truck from got there in neck breaking time, I was like, wow that was really cool . And then he got the part thats not made any more ,in 6 hr ' s 🙃😂😎🌞🚚🏡 good job men!
Would like to see Justin working again. Sure lots done😊😊😊😊
I was curious about him. I thought he was a contractor too, so I’m guessing he’s doing regular customer work at the same time as working here.
It’s in the other comments.
Glad you able to fix the dump truck.
This was an interesting episode however I became tired of being hollered at so I turned it off. I'll be looking forward to the next video to see the progress and hopefully I won't get hollered at so much, cheers.
That's Funny. 😅😅
Sure am missing Nave and the boys! I know you’re working hard to get this all done for your family. We would love to see them. I’ll bet they would love to play in all that dirt!
She has her own channel Cole is on it too
So glad you have the equipment to move all the earth
What a worker Roman is never stops.
Good days work guys. And. Yes this house is Clean.... ❤ You guys
Loving the construction videos.
Great work Cole and Roman also to all the Karen’s out there give it a rest what have you’ve done that compares to this? He’s a young guy ..lol
I thought I saw a sign that said no Karen's allowed.
What are they doing in here anyway ? 🤔
What have other people done that compares to making a mess out of an old house? Haha, you're a funny guy!
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Your channel is exciting and I love the content.
All first rate, this house (i.e. manson) has everything including a tier-stepped movie theatre...but you forgot a swimming pool?
Problem created but later solved, good thinking Cole.
Great storm shelter. Godspeed Cornstars.
Your truck was jealous of bigger truck and put some bad mojo on it! LOL
lol I thought that too 😂 it’s loving it’s time in the spotlight too much to let a new truck take its spot
These videos are amazing.
Looking good!🎉
Roman is awesone
Cole save your voice. We can hear you LOUD & Clear! How big is this theater going to be? The entire town will be hanging out at your place. We all Love you all. God Bless
🤣🤣🤣
Ron's reached legendary status at this point. Because you might see his truck and Cole mentions him often helping, or offering expert advice, but if I hadn't caught a glimpse of him in the background like once before I'd say Ron was just a myth.
Ron has been in several videos on this channel doing ground work
Ok Cole, listen up. Read most of the comments and a lot of people are asking you to stop yelling. Couldn't agree more, I don't think you realize how loud you are because of the ear plus you wear. Also, I think it's a mistake to step your theatre room with concrete. Just pour it level and build the tiers with wood. Lastly, I agree with what people are saying, we don't need a 6 minute intro for every video. Despite all that, I love the channel!
No way you watched the video if you think he is isnt gonna pour a flat floor in the theatre. He talked about building the steps and platforms out of wood.
@@warrenmichael918 he still doing a step down
@@JoJo-op5xy yes, the one step so he doesnt have to under cut his footing by the house but he isnt stepping the whole floor like you thought. He is also building the steps and decking out of wood. Thats why i think you didnt watch the video, or just wasnt paying attention to what was being said, or rather screamed at us!! LOL
too much excitement in today's video Cole
Cole been watching for years and years but you are yelling way too much. Roman never yells and we can hear him no problem and when you don’t yell we can hear you just fine so please stop yelling and take out your earplugs. Not trying to be mean or disrespectful. I love your Chanel.
He's not making the videos for you, and people who are new to the channel get hyped by the excitement.
Sorry to say it, but old faithful subs don't make money.
I am so amazed at what these men are accomplishing!!! Great work, FANTASTIC WORK ETHICS!!! Cannot wait to see the movie theater. Thank you for the video. Where are you going to put the sauna so everyone can rest their bodies after working so hard????
Cole the lawn is looking great.
Hello from Siesta Key Florida
Where has Justin been hiding these last few videos. I do hope he is doing well. Thank you Roman and Cole for making such interesting work on this build. I am enjoying the learning process with you.
Don't forget a space for a computer rack / electronics..
Overhead lights..
Power at each chair both for the chair and utilities..
HVAC locations..
Fire suppression..
Emergency exits..
Cole you talking more then working for real 💯 my goodness 😳 Roman doing all the work lol
One of my favorite words. Enigma..... that is the word you were looking for ;-)
Roman, I agree with the metric system. Am a retired builder/maintenance man
emodler. Now I build scale models and the metric system is by far easier to work with.
I think it would be cool to leave the foundation wall exposed as a feature wall in the movie theatre
It takes an army family to run a farm !! God bless you all.
You should see if you could collaborate with Linus Tech Tips when it comes to decking out the movie theatre
The part with your dad made me chuckle because I’m in a similar situation. Fighting money I don’t owe. Hours on hold, my business partner having to prove he’s authorized. Good times 😂😭
Hi Cole I noticed there was some red clay brick in the hole. Did there use to be a well or cistern etc? I believe it was in the last video it looked like the clay bricks or tile were laid down in a circular fashion.
Hey Cole, every kid needs a hill. Use some of the dirt for a nice big hill for a small remote car race track or a sledding hill in the winter. All kinds of options.
I forgot riding stables, nice!
What a huge job this has turned into
I use a laser level daily. I have the exact same one as you. They won’t beep at that distance from where to had it to the creek. Especially outside
yes they do, that isnt very far away for the laser. That sucker will beep way farther away than the creek is.
@@warrenmichael918 mine might be broken if that’s the case 😂
@@costarica0305 Im sure they do make different types but almost every transit laser level like this i have used, go super long ways. Now, if your luck is like mine is, you got a defective one! LOL
Great progress.
Cole we need to give your dump truck a name. Maybe Old Red?
I’ve been calling it, ‘’Dumpy. ‘’
Diane, I’ve thought the same….how ‘bout Ricky ( rickety Ricky) . Or maybe Ollie, like ol de sides are falling off.
Quick vacuum hack. Use an upright house vacuum cleaner instead of the shop vac. It’s easier on whoever is vacuuming and is disposable after construction is over. Been doing this for decades.
Cole, why do you feel like you need to yell every time you talk??????
That is just the farmer in him. Farm machinery is loud and my guess it is a habit.
@@DeanLingleySr Yeah right, I grew up in the rural Midwest, none of them screamed when they talked or talked 1000 mph. None of the other farm TH-camrs scream on their videos.
Not only the yelling... it also feels like the video is sped up if he talks 😂His energylevel is like through the roof! Roman balances it out a bit.
Honestly speaking, the idea for the stair stepping for the foundation to keep the footer stabilized although good may be a little unnecessary as you could easily put in a new footer foundation off that part of the house that under pins the existing footer in order to no only get the height consistent through the whole movie theatre but to also allow for more storage and possible under floor maintenance room. Just a thought I had otherwise love what you are doing and I will continue to keep watching no matter how you tackle this build, because it's your house :)
Did you lose your microphones? Because you are literally SHOUTING at the camera!!
Thanks for sharing!
