@@Swxer69 Check out Masayoshi Takanaka's music. His discography was hugely influential to SA's soundtrack. I recommend Tokyo Reggae, Ready to Fly, Blue Lagoon, and Parallel Turn for this sort of vibe.
Im not a musicianist so I dont know how to describe this, but there's no stops in between strokes like in the other Windy and Ripply guitar videos I've seen. THis one's so smooth with the transitions. 10/10 for me
@@DonPolarek I’ve been jamming to this all day. anyway you could do anymore from Sonic Adventure? Honestly, I’ve heard so many covers but yours sounds sooo clean. It instantly takes me back to 1999, before life became so complicated. Thank you 🙏
This soundtrack will probably live on forever thanks to TH-cam. It really is iconic and has a distinctive sound to it that I'd argue none of the other games in the series have. So much nostalgia. Wondering cover. Im sure Jun would love it
The sound, the precision, the essence, the nostalgia. Regular visitor for years and this year, Christmas has come early. This is on repeat and literally cannot wait to hear more, my dude!
Thanks! I used an amp sim in FL studio called Amplitube 4. British tube lead amp. To me the guitar sound in the original is very light in the mix with slight chorus, phaser, and delay effects. So I made sure that I used all of those fx and kept my guitar somewhat low in the mix as well. Lots and lots of tinkering haha
Thanks!! I made a custom patch in Amplitube 4 using the British Tube Lead amp, added in a bit of plate reverb I believe. The only pedal I used was my MXR analog chorus pedal tweaked for just a slight chorus effect, which plugged right into my Steinberg UR12 audio interface
Self taught. best pointer to learn anything you want is to learn how to transcribe songs by ear. Something that helps me is playing youtube videos at .5x speed and singling out note by note. And look up youtube tutorials. Best of luck on your guitar journey
@@misstangshan95 Hi! Yes, I used amplitube 4 to get the tone. Simulating a full stack with the British tube lead amp. For this song I go for a brown sound with a mild chorus and delay effect.
@@DonPolarek you've mastered it completely! I wonder if Jun used a similar software himself for recording this track on sonic adventure. I can't find any amp presets that resemble the lovely and nostalgic beach-like vibe of this tone.
@@misstangshan95 Thank you! If you need any of my custom patches for amplitube 4 or 5 I could send some. Jun Senoue has a page on equipboard . com and it has a lot of the gear he uses on there.

Thanks, luckily Jun's guitar is pretty quiet in original the mix to begin with. I wish I had backing tracks with no guitar for all these tracks! Would be sweet
I love the romantic and starry -sky vibe of late 80s early 90s Japanese guitar writing.
I concur. I can’t get enough of it!!
I didn't think about it. But yeah now I see what you mean.
Do you know more songs like what you just described? or have the same vibe like this cover? I'd like to learn this kind of genre on guitar
