Save yourself the money of buying special pillows and just scrunch up a duvet and tuck your leg over that. Its easy to adjust to the thickness you need and I've found it more comfy than any pillow. I'm 37 weeks pregnant with number 4 and works for me.

Doesn't matter, I have all the pillows, sleeping on my side isn't working for me - I'm 33 weeks and wake up with excruciating pain in my hips, low back, pelvis no matter what side I sleep on or how many pillows I use. My shoulders also ache. Went to the masseuse and she noticed I have knots in these areas now... I can't really sleep much at all now but am trying to do it propped up on my back and my midwife said it's fine. Side sleeping is NOT for everyone!

Im 33weeks and i thought i was the only one. I have the pillows but side sleeping especially the left hurts. I dont get any sleep anymore

Same!!! Im so miserable, I’m not a side sleeper, so it’s hard and I wake up to hip, lower back and sometime pelvic area hurting 😩.. so I find it alil easier to sleep prop up for awhile than lay back down on my sides. I’m almost 34 weeks so don’t have long until this over, well atleast that’s what I tell myself to get through the nights...I have lots of different pillows nun work, I even have the pregnancy pillow where you can sleep on belly, but my lower back still seem to hurt, sleepless nights, hip and lower back pain, a lot of stretches, and a lot of massages from Husband is my normal routine

I'm a back sleeper so sleeping on my sides in general is tough and uncomfortable. 31weeks pregnant

  • @FitMumsChannel

Hi, sleeping on your left side after 20+ weeks is preferred as it clears your baby's waste products easier and helps your circulation but you can switch from side to side if you get uncomfortable. You may also have to sleep on your right side for 2-43 nights if your baby is not in optimal fetal position as this can help turn them

I broken my back during my carer job I’ve done for 4yrs as the workplace didn’t have proper equipment for the disabled elderly😞 now that I’m 19 wks preg my lower back, shoulders n pelvis is so sore I can’t move or sleep this puts pressure on my pressure n I keep feeling like I’m peeing on myself so I go bathroom, then feel thirsty n drink. It’s a viscous cycle. I’m tired, started uni into nursing. It’s really bad to a point I cry n take paracetamol, use heat pads. Travelling on the bus to uni kills me I’m not comfortable, when standing n cooking or doing the dishes my back pain feels like someone is stabbing my spine n boiling it. I also suffer from
Morning sickness, nausea n swollen feet😞

My hips literally go numb and throb from laying on my sides. So I naturally turn to my back, which then causes my lower back to ache from baby weight 😐

what position can you use if the pain is not in the lower back but right at the middle section? I just can't sleep because of the pain I have in that area. It only occurs when i go to bed. it doesn't hurt if I stand or sit on a chair.
