New sub! Been feeling uninspired and so I decide to go to you tube and type in the words-ignite inner artist- you popped up , I tend to judge a book by its cover and by my particular interest but I’m stuck so I went with the suggestion to my words and am so happy I did..usually I’d keep scrolling and get nowhere. I think that is so cool that those 3 words presented you to me!!! How awesome are you !?!?
wise, calming, interesting, and broad. Thank you for sharing your gifts!
    Love to all💜

Art blocks are your way of telling you that something is off internally which is in turn affecting your ability to externally output your creativity.
Introspection, journaling, writing, talking it through or stepping away from your life and taking a complete time off to reset may be necessary to jump start your circuits.
Maybe you’re physically exhausted so there’s no energy left for art. Maybe you’re emotionally exhausted so there’s no emotion left for art.
Best advice I can give you: Be kind to yourself. You need this break so use it to find your way back to being you again-which I’m assuming includes being an artist.
Going through moments of not being inspired is just as much a part of the process as the other times when you are in complete alignment and flow with your practice! This is a great time to be brave and be bold with your art! thanks for joining along Jellybean :)

Hey Beau. Just wanted to write an appreciative post, as I’ve recently discovered your content and really enjoy your insights and calmness. I’m an engineering student, and about to graduate. I’m planning to apply to art school for graduate studies, and hope to find new perspectives and make new discoveries. I think I relate to your insights, and see how you merge technique and the human experience, and finding a relationship in your work as not just a chore, but an intrinsic interaction with the external. Anyways, hope you have a great week! Thanks for the great videos.

the trajectory of an artist is a zig zag path full of ups and downs. It can be rough at times but when it is sweet, it's the best there is! haha

Hi Beau i am currently developing my own voice as and artist through photography and one angle. I found I need focus or I am a bird jumping from shiny object to shiny object. "Trust yourself" also helps keep me focused to complete work. Im finally starting to figure it out(its rough and unrefined but I enjoy it) and it appears you are way ahead of me. Nice work!!! I subbed and at 6k and I have a good feeling about you.

Keep it up! Sometimes that ADD quality kicks in and we feel the need to try to tackle everything at once but end up with a bunch of unfinished projects. Working on a handful of projects may feel limiting but they open up possibilities to new ways of doing and thinking! All the best to you!

    Hi Beau,
I discovered your work a little over a year ago, and at the time, I was going through some tough strides personally. Seeing you juggle working a day job and coming home to work on your art was really inspiring. Nowadays I do textile design (which I enjoy) but also find satisfaction in carving out time and work on personal art/design projects. Thanks so much for reminding others to continue their own passions. :-)
    All the best,
    Thinh

The ability to multi task and set aside time for creativity can be overwhelming, if not straight up difficult, but there is a sense of ownership and satisfaction that comes from this dedication to oneself and the art. Keep going!

    Hi Beau ,
    Your video is really inspiring.
I really want to become a full time artist ,but at this point of time I can't quit my job, which I don't like at all..
    What should I do ?

    • @BeauBFrank

Having a job is very much an opportunity to grow and learn while affording to cover expenses and build up savings. Once the art is bringing in income that is able to cover your monthly expenses, you can make the switch over to full-time artist. Until then, it's best to purse art on nights and weekends. Here's a video I made that goes over some options for balancing a job with a passion for art.

Hey Beau , i am a high school second year student , i want to know if i am contributing in the society in any way? Just a question like why i am studying, am i artistic in any way by studying or any suggestions how i can contribute to the society

It can feel overwhelming and stressful at that age to figure out a sense of direction. At your age it's a good time to think about trying new things and listening to how you feel while you are involved in those projects. You don't need to worry about contributing or being of service. Try out different creative outlets to see if you find a sense of purpose, passion or can see a plan forming around said outlet. If you have a sense of curiosity about it, you most likely will find the work to be enjoyable and fulfilling. If it doesn't resonate, you'll at least have learned something new which you can take into the next experience. Studying in a formal setting can be good if you are looking for a career which requires a degree, otherwise studying can look more like practice, reading, researching or online learning to develop skills. Don't forget to be young before you are old. You're allowed to enjoy yourself so don't feel rushed to have to figure out all the answers yet. Best of luck to you.
