Very good video I went to 4WP and got my truck inspected and the guy told me my 2007 Silverado would not clear 35s with the oem replacement king shocks I ordered.
Hey 454, Love this video, super informational and this is the exact setup I'm looking for as far as kings shocks F+R and 17" Methods. What is the part number for the Kings shocks? I was not able to pull it off even from their site. If Im doing this myself are there any suggestions you have? such as you mentioned the res. mod in the rear and fender mods aswell? I have Method 315 wheels 17x9 with the higher offset just doing a spacer leveling kit for now should I stay with 33’s or can I do the 35’s with fender mod or is the higher offset going to need more than just fender mod for 35’s?Thanks for your uploads keeps the motivation high!
Would you be able to demonstrate how the mod is done? I want it done right and the shops around here in the Midwest aren’t giving me the confidence I want to have it done. I don’t want them bashing my truck with a hammer and I suspect that could happen.
Unfortunately I don't give away the process of how to do it. On our IG there are highlighted stories that give a decent idea but thats about as much as Ill go into the process. Kinda a shop "secret"
Good morning...I wish I had seen this video earlier I just bought 17x9 -6 off set.. and I wanted to run the 2.5 leveling kit on 35s...but now I don't know if that gonna clear..Pro Comp Trilogy Pro Series 74.... any info or help would be great
@@454motorsports6 yeah but a 0 offset wheel would have even larger backspacing so my question is; with this setup in this video do the tires rub the UCA’s?
Just curious, I know a ton of people have issues with sway bar rubbing at full lock with 12.50” wide regardless of tire diameter. Did you experience this on this setup ?
You can regear for 35s but i wouldn't call it necessary. Personally I dont like to regear unless we are going up at minimum 2 gear sizes. Moving up 1 gear size costs quite a bit and doesn't give a whole lot of change
Not a great idea. Leveling with a coilover and adding a spacer on top of that is going to ruin your tie rod angles, balljoint angles, and CVs if 4wd. 37s also probebally still wouldnt fit and FOR SURE would destroy the fenders if you ever bump the truck out to full bump
where is the spacer then? can also guarentee angles arent "perfect" with 3.5" of lift unless your using a lift spindle. Theres a reason coilover manufactures say absolute MAX of 3"@@KapenW17
ya for a 4wd thats absolute max lift i would run. Even that is higher than we typically like going. As far as clearing 37s with that setup on a 2018 and under chevy good luck without fiberglass. @@KapenW17
Not sure on exact specs for every wheel/tire and lift combo out there. When we do fender mods however we cut the fender back as far as we can regardless of wheel/tire being run. If more is needed your looking at cutting parts of firewall/ cab mount out and plating that back in.
Clean truck. I noticed this truck doesn't have the 2 speed transfer case for 4 low since not a Z71. Do you feel that's something really needed for a daily trail truck? Thanks!
@@Realricketycricket Not all of them do though, typically if they don't have the Z71 package they only have the 1 speed. Not sure if that's for all years though.
@@jimmyteter I'm pretty sure all newer trucks got a 2 speed transfer case. I got a 2017 custom, it got a 2 speed manual transfer case and even a locking rear differential
@@jimmyteter Googled it. It turns out that GM trucks with the lower gearing, for gas milage, comes with a single speed transfer case. I drive trucks because I need a truck, not for gas milage, so I never even bothered looking at those trucks when shopping for a truck.

Hear that alot. While techincally hes right without modifying the fender at all, its possible to fit them. Just takes a bit of work

I needed 2 inch wheel spacers so I didn’t rub on my control arms. 33/12.5/18 zero offset (stock wheels) 3” level kit. Gotta cut to fit the 35s
How much do 35s sap the power? I assume this Chevy has the 5.3L V8.

No, it’s completely fine. I’ve had a 3” level on mine for 87k miles

Should work with clearancing or one of our fender mods on the rear of the fender

Your talking about 1/4" difference in offset between 0 and -6. Either one will need clearancing but both should work

Do the tires rub the UCA’s? According to DK their UCA’s can take a max backspacing of 4.75” and an 18x9 wheel with +1 offset has a 5” backspacing

@@laxdogg23 I’m on a 2.5” lift strut plus a 1”spacer and my angles are perfect. I wasn’t taking about stacking a spacer on top of 3.5”

Cant you just jack the vehicle up and rotate the preload ring with a spanner wrench to compress it?
On some vehicles yes, but not these, it just bends the tool

I have this truck and it does come with the 2 speed transfer case, this looks like a 16-18 LT 4x4

We try to always stick with a 0 offset with aftermarket wheels
