as great as she is it's a shame the other lawyers seem to be getting glossed over. This entire legal team is fantastic, and they work so well together. They all deserve this recognition.
And she mentions they are a team all the time. But, she is the one delivering the right performance hence she is the one doing most of the interrogations. Regardless of them being a team, sje was selected to conduct most of the interrogations bc she is the best at it.
I agree. it's just that her questions weren't forgiving and the way she articulated her questions, was really exceptional. last few days of Cross examination was pure joy to watch because of her.
The entire legal team of Johnny's are honestly admirable, hardworking, kind people. The way they carry themselves throughout this trial speaks volumes about their client's personality as well. Proud of them🙏🏻
It's happened before and Johnny Depp has a Dream Team while Amber's legal team is a Nightmare. Part of it is that's seems to be all she could afford but mostly it's hard for them to work a case built on lies.

they're fully prepped & full of confidence every time they're on the floor. also, it helps that the evidence & testimonies favor their side of the story. They've done everything they can, and can at least take a breather & pet some alpacas. The only thing they can't control is the jury, which is the idea of the US court system & jury duty. You can try to skew the narrative to your favor, but that's playing with psychology which isn't always a 100% probability.
Ben Chew KILLED IT! Every time AH's team brought an "expert" up, Ben Chew would just systematically make them look like complete buffoons AT THEIR OWN PRACTICE! It takes skill to make someone look like a liar, but it takes something all together else to be able to go toe to toe with an expert at their own practice, and make THEM look like the fools! You can tell Ben Chew knows his stuff. Big fan of both of them!
1:26 bless her, she looks like she’s wiping away a tear with a trembling hand. People said she was a bit overcome with all the praise and people congratulating her in the courtroom after the jury left for the day after her 1st cross with Amber. She did amazing work and is clearly a talented lawyer.
@La yeah, probably overwhelmed too. I imagine she's very tired after long days in court. Plus that guy loudly asking at her about a potential romance with Johnny was highly inappropriate. He's her client and there are rules about dating clients that could damage her career. So I think that made it worse.
I noticed that too. Celebrities are known for saying that it is a major emotional adjustment to go from unknown to major celebrity in an instant. Even if Camille tried to prepare to be known, there was no way for her to fully prepare for the internet to go crazy over her. I hope she is able to have all the support she needs to be comfortable in the limelight.
Only Johnny could find a legal team with a collective heart as big as his. I could see Camille playing herself in the movie version & bringing in a bigger paycheck than Amber ever dreamed of. What I find most touching is how Johnny’s entire legal team is treating him with empathy & compassion while being conscientious about the trauma that he is having to relive both on the stand & while seated listening to Amber & her friends lie. Those reaffirming touches they give & quick smiles must mean so much to him rn. Justice for Johnny.
To watch the light come back in Johnny's eyes has been the most amazing thing in this whole trial. He has walked around with so much pain and it wore him down. You could see it the first day...as the trial went on, you can see him grow stronger each day. He is finally seeing that the world still loves him and we believe he is innocent.
I find Ben Chew and his love for alpacas so cute! He was carrying a small stuffed alpaca in his pocket almost the whole time during the trial, he was the first one to take a picture with those real alpacas, you can even hear him saying "they are the cutest animals" in the background and someone mentioned he also said “I’ll have to send those to my wife, she loves alpacas”. He is adorable! 😂
That is true… However they truly needed her.. she “appears” less threatening (😉)because it wouldn’t have been good to have tall Atty. Ben cross-examining her… It could’ve looked like he was bullying her, so because of the nature of the trial they thought it would be safer to use Camille and she did an excellent job for the team❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
All of this was masterminded by him. He knew that having Camille (a soft spoken, yet hard hitting lawyer) defending Johnny would be amazing optics. Things have played out amazingly for them. Even this walk out was planned. They didnt leave through some backdoor with security. They walked out in plain sight and took pictures. If you look closely, they didnt answer questions or say anything beyond "Thank you". Its all been thought of. Optics 101.
Although it’s their job to be lawyers and they’re getting paid a hefty amount, Camille and Ben seem like genuinely nice people who really care for Johnny too.

I feel bad that the other girl on the team is getting disregarded. She’s had some particularly effective questioning; but she’s not as pretty as Camille, and I think that has a lot to do with this “Hollywood” trial. It makes me sad!! Not that I don’t love Camille!! I just agree that they’re a team and they should all be recognized, not just Ben and Camille!
She will be able to write her own ticket as far as her career goes. Other lawyers are even saying the firm she is an associate at should make her partner. If they don’t, someone else will.
After this trial, Ms. Vasquez will literally be able to have her pick of any law firm as full partner. I'd be irresponsible and foolish to allow someone with such widespread appeal, professionalism, and candor to get away. After this trial she's gonna need a secretary to organize all of the offers she'll be getting. Kudos to her, she has a great heart and she should be granted every opportunity she wishes for...love this woman.

No matter the final results This legal team has made their reputation as a group of lawyers you want on your side. Not to mention they come across as very nice people in public and that says a lot about how they are toward their clients. This is what intelligence, compassion and can do attitude ., in a law firm looks like.
When you’re not THE boss yet, you would really hope you have the best luck to encounter and work for someone like Ben Chew. He doesn’t seem to care if Camille “steals” the spotlight. I just want to give some love to the people that brought the alpaca’s 🦙 to cheer up Johnny Depp. They are sweet and it shows that people can care about others in meaningful ways. So sending hugs to the alpaca owners and to the alpacas 🦙 💕.
I really hope that people see the bigger picture here and don’t just relegate Camille to the mindless role of ‘celebrity’ and appreciate her, Ben, and the rest of Johnny’s legal team for the exemplary execution of how a courtroom trial should be undertaken. And also appreciate their commitment to excellence in their field. This is in stark contrast compared to Amber’s legal team, who are pretty much representative of why people have lost faith in the justice system, lawyers who seek to sway the emotions of a jury in place of providing evidence and facts. And sadly it often works, juries find people guilty of crimes that they didn’t commit because the prosecution has painted a picture of words making the victim a saint and the other party a monster without providing a single shred of evidence to back up their claims. And police prosecutors are the worst when it comes to this, they just want a conviction, case closed. That’s not how it’s supposed to work, and lawyer standards and courtroom standards have just dropped lower and lower. Johnny’s legal team have set the bar sky high while at the same time showing exactly where that bar should be, what legal representation should look like for everybody, and as a masterclass for all lawyers involved in courtroom law. I hope that their ‘this is how it’s done’ approach will resonate with legal firms and lawyers everywhere and make them lift their standards and their game. To do their jobs the way that the justice system expects them to. Otherwise, why bother studying the law at all if you’re going to throw it all away the moment you step into the courtroom?
This is not a criminal trial. There's no prosecution. His legal team is specialized in plaintiff side defamation cases so they are the top of what one can get for a case like this.
I think Ben, Camille… the entire team were warned about the publicity they’d receive. They’re handling it beautifully. These are genuinely good people.

Amber's team is actually top notch. Its just their client leaves a lot to be desired. She doesn't listen to her attorneys' advice. The attorney at the time told Heard not to publish the op ed, but she wouldn't listen. She is now facing the ramifications of her actions, and it could completely destroy her acting career. It may destroy her social life also because her actions are out there for all to see.
This is just so lovely. I also think it's so important to realise that the whole team have done the research the organisation and worked the case and so as the performer Camille is in the spotlight and incredible of course, but the whole team deserves credit as well.

I will be so incredibly disappointed in this world if he loses. It makes me so angry that Amber has clearly lied under oath and instead it feels that is ignored, all the logic and evidence from Camille's incredible questioning is ignored and instead media attention is on a bottle Johnny threw 2 decades ago and evidenceless witness testimonies from Amber's sister and friends. I really hope we hear from Jennifer Howell, who made a testimony about Whitney(AH's sister) a few years ago that she has said entirely different things before, indicating that she'd also be lying on the stand now.

I agree they all deserve praise. They are doing a very good job. Very precise, factual, keeping a good time line, prepared, very organized and Good questioning! Camille was very good at keeping Amber from going off tangent and getting her to answer her questions. She kept her tone firm but not too firm, got her to feel comfortable and then pressed her! straight forward questions and when Amber tried to stray she snapped her back!

Camil may be the face of Johnny's defense but I bet you the head lawyer is the mastermind behind the entire defense process. Choosing Camil to conduct the stunning public cross examination of Amber was a brilliant strategic move. She has the perfect demeanor, image and professionalism to inspire/win over the public and specifically young women. PR and capturing the hearts and mind of the public is very important in a trail by jury.

Must be tough actually to leave court after focusing so intensely on a client to then have a load of phone cameras pointed in your face and people shouting your name, like I know it’s a high profile case and I bet Camille appreciates people’s kindness and support but would equally like to just get home and chill for a bit after work like everyone else does idk.
Also just because lawyers can stand up in court and speak with confidence and clarity, it doesn’t necessarily mean that outside of work or in social settings they are super comfortable with the attention or focus being on them - that is a scenario they can’t prepare for unlike in court where they have research and prepped for most eventualities. People need to remember that they are not entitled to Camille’s time or attention; they can show her respect and appreciation but crikey, let the lady breathe.
I agree, I don't know how long she's been at this but its relatively safe to assume she's not accustomed to all the adoration. I think she's a genuinely empathetic person so she's probably confused, humbled and surprised by all the people focusing on HER rather than Depp. However, this is a high profile case and it's having a powerful cascading effect on how society views lawyers,especially when you view it from a women's perspective- she's not cold and heartless, the devil wears Prada persona, camille is warm, honest, and believes in her client and the law. This will shift younger women's perspective from wanting to be like heard to wanting to be like Camille. She will also have her pick of firms to be full partner at, this kind of positive publicity will garner for her many prolific opportunities. It probably is overwhelming but you know she's a star and the rest of us can't get enough. People like it when the hero (or heroine) gets the bad guy and Camille is definitely putting out a hero vibe. 💪

And just the fact that there are so many layers to it and so much that has to be brought into it. You can tell Ben is accommodating the crowds. But he is a serious lawyer, not a celebrity. He knows his business. But he is trying his best to accommodate everybody.
I love JD, but he is not a “wholesome” person. He’s a tortured soul who turned to drugs and alcohol to numb his pain. I pray he can get ALL the demons off his back and be at peace with his heart and mind. Someone said that once you become a wealthy person, everyone wants to be your friend and have a “piece” of you and you can’t be sure who loves you and who just wants to feed off of you. So sad.

they're fully prepped & full of confidence every time they're on the floor. also, it helps that the evidence & testimonies favor their side of the story. They've done everything they can, and can at least take a breather & pet some alpacas.
The only thing they can't control is the jury, which is the idea of the US court system & jury duty. You can try to skew the narrative to your favor, but that's playing with psychology which isn't always a 100% probability.
Huge props to the whole JD Team. I know the talks are mostly about Camille, and she deserves the praise she is getting, but this is a Team Effort.

@La yeah, probably overwhelmed too. I imagine she's very tired after long days in court. Plus that guy loudly asking at her about a potential romance with Johnny was highly inappropriate. He's her client and there are rules about dating clients that could damage her career. So I think that made it worse.
I noticed that too. Celebrities are known for saying that it is a major emotional adjustment to go from unknown to major celebrity in an instant. Even if Camille tried to prepare to be known, there was no way for her to fully prepare for the internet to go crazy over her. I hope she is able to have all the support she needs to be comfortable in the limelight.
Only Johnny could find a legal team with a collective heart as big as his. I could see Camille playing herself in the movie version & bringing in a bigger paycheck than Amber ever dreamed of. To watch the light come back in Johnny's eyes has been the most amazing thing in this whole trial. He has walked around with so much pain and it wore him down. You could see it the first day...as the trial went on, you can see him grow stronger each day. He is finally seeing that the world still loves him and we believe he is innocent.
I find Ben Chew and his love for alpacas so cute! He was carrying a small stuffed alpaca in his pocket almost the whole time during the trial, he was the first one to take a picture with those real alpacas, you can even hear him saying "they are the cutest animals" in the background and someone mentioned he also said “I’ll have to send those to my wife, she loves alpacas”. I really hope that people see the bigger picture here and don’t just relegate Camille to the mindless role of ‘celebrity’ and appreciate her, Ben, and the rest of Johnny’s legal team for the exemplary execution of how a courtroom trial should be undertaken. And also appreciate their commitment to excellence in their field. This is in stark contrast compared to Amber’s legal team, who are pretty much representative of why people have lost faith in the justice system, lawyers who seek to sway the emotions of a jury in place of providing evidence and facts. And sadly it often works, juries find people guilty of crimes that they didn’t commit because the prosecution has painted a picture of words making the victim a saint and the other party a monster without providing a single shred of evidence to back up their claims. And police prosecutors are the worst when it comes to this, they just want a conviction, case closed. That’s not how it’s supposed to work, and lawyer standards and courtroom standards have just dropped lower and lower. Johnny’s legal team have set the bar sky high while at the same time showing exactly where that bar should be, what legal representation should look like for everybody, and as a masterclass for all lawyers involved in courtroom law. I hope that their ‘this is how it’s done’ approach will resonate with legal firms and lawyers everywhere and make them lift their standards and their game. To do their jobs the way that the justice system expects them to. Otherwise, why bother studying the law at all if you’re going to throw it all away the moment you step into the courtroom?

The attorney at the time told Heard not to publish the op ed, but she wouldn't listen. She is now facing the ramifications of her actions, and it could completely destroy her acting career. It may destroy her social life also because her actions are out there for all to see.

A woman who is an actual role model for young girls. Didn't get to where she is because she's attractive, or willing to sell herself for followers. Must be tough actually to leave court after focusing so intensely on a client to then have a load of phone cameras pointed in your face and people shouting your name, like I know it’s a high profile case and I bet Camille appreciates people’s kindness and support but would equally like to just get home and chill for a bit after work like everyone else does idk.
Also just because lawyers can stand up in court and speak with confidence and clarity, it doesn’t necessarily mean that outside of work or in social settings they are super comfortable with the attention or focus being on them - that is a scenario they can’t prepare for unlike in court where they have research and prepped for most eventualities. People need to remember that they are not entitled to Camille’s time or attention; they can show her respect and appreciation but crikey, let the lady breathe.
I agree, I don't know how long she's been at this but its relatively safe to assume she's not accustomed to all the adoration. I think she's a genuinely empathetic person so she's probably confused, humbled and surprised by all the people focusing on HER rather than Depp. However, this is a high profile case and it's having a powerful cascading effect on how society views lawyers,especially when you view it from a women's perspective- she's not cold and heartless, the devil wears Prada persona, camille is warm, honest, and believes in her client and the law. This will shift younger women's perspective from wanting to be like heard to wanting to be like Camille. She will also have her pick of firms to be full partner at, this kind of positive publicity will garner for her many prolific opportunities. It probably is overwhelming but you know she's a star and the rest of us can't get enough. People like it when the hero (or heroine) gets the bad guy and Camille is definitely putting out a hero vibe. 💪
