    Hi. I own a Bent 100. I’m looking for a bump/trees ski. Does it make sense to get a 90 or are they similar enough?

      I ended up choosing between the Nordica Enforcer 88 and the Black Crows Captis as I felt that there wasn’t much difference between 90 and 100, and I bought the Captis but I haven’t tried them yet. This weekend …

      The Bent 90 is a good option for park skiing, it’s more playful and forgiving than the Bent 100. If you’re looking for a park ski the Bent 90 is the way to go. The Bent 100 still has a playful and forgiving feel, however, it is a stronger more well rounded ski for terrain you’d find outside the park. The bent 100 is a better ski for the kind of terrain you’re looking to tackle and background you have.

      Bent 90 can hold its own on firm snow, but it's certainly not a carving ski. We find the Bent 100 actually carves better than the 90 and has more stability at speed, especially the new 2025 version.

    • @TheSkiMonster
      @TheSkiMonster  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are over 190cm then it’s likely you will prefer the 188cm Bent 100. Shorter skis are better for tight spots, spins and control. Longer skis are more stable at speed.

    For an intermediate female skier, would you recommend Bent 90 or 100? Mostly on piste, located in west coast area. My height is 167cm, weight 54kg, what length would you recommend? Thank you!

    • @TheSkiMonster
      @TheSkiMonster  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Bent 100 is a stronger ski for on piste skiing. This is counterintuitive considering the Bent 90 has a waist width more similar to other piste-oriented skis on the market but the Bent 90 is more or less a park ski. The Bent 100 is a much more well rounded option. It can rip groomers, its nimble in technical terrain, can handle a wide variety of conditions and works for a huge range of skiing abilities. The Bent 100 is one of our top tested skis for a reason. At your height and ability you could go with the 164cm length.

  • @Nico--
    @Nico-- ปีที่แล้ว

    Which length would you recommend for a light rider who is 184 cm tall? Should I go for the 180 or the 188?

    • @TheSkiMonster
      @TheSkiMonster  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Nico--, You could go either way and have a blast. It will depend on your weight, what size you have now, and your priorities. The longer length will be more stable and will have a higher speed limit while also making longer radius turns. The shorter one will be more nimble, easier to spin, with a slightly lower speed limit. Skis don't know how tall you are, they know how aggressively you're skiing or how casually you might be skiing. Aggressive skiers prefer longer lengths and more casual skiers prefer shorter lengths.

      The Bent 100 is a better all mountain ski and the Bent 90 is a better choice for park skiing.

  • @henryhebron5319
    @henryhebron5319 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the review. I am looking for an all mountain ski - I dont ski park anymore due to injury and I mainly ski piste and powder when I can and the conditions allow. So something a little more stiff for the piste will be better than a true park ski. I orginially thought the 90's would be best as its a slimmer underfoot, but are you recomending the 100's to be better for piste and carving? While also beting better in powder?

    • @TheSkiMonster
      @TheSkiMonster  ปีที่แล้ว

      @henryhebron5319, you are totally right, the Bent 100's do carve better and float better when compared to the Bent 90. This is definitely an anomaly because typically the most narrow ski of a category is the most grippy, the Bent family is just a little bit different.

  • @wwekid6251

    I was just wondering I can’t decide between the two i’ve used the volkl revolt 95’s for about three years now I love the park but I tend to like the huge jumps better like xl jumps or L jumps I like the floating but I hit all types of jumps I don’t hit rails that often and I love skiing the mountain but I live in Michigan and was wondering if the 100s would be too big. I love skiing the mountain any natural jumps or cliffs i’m hitting and I love the double black triple black when I go out west. I just can’t choose between the two. I’m in the park and on the mountain at the same. Also what bindings would you recommend for these like the look pivot 15 gw or the marker griffins? Or are there any other suggestions for bindings you might have?

    Hey, so I can’t decide between the 100 or the 90. I’m not really a park skier I’m more on the slopes and sometimes in the deep snow but I want to try out some new things like tricks and riding more in der deep snow. I’m 5’5 and I would take the 164 ones. Which one should I take ?

    • @TheSkiMonster
      @TheSkiMonster  ปีที่แล้ว

      @user-bj5fr8kd4r, go Bent 100. It’s much more capable of all skiing outside the park but maintains the lightweight feel and balance you need to progress your tricks on.

    I am deciding between the 90 and 100 but I feel like I should go with the 100. But I am 6ft and 140lbs but they don’t have a 175 option. Would you recommend the 172cm or 180cm?

    • @antonkruse5707
      @antonkruse5707 ปีที่แล้ว

      180cm

    • @TheSkiMonster
      @TheSkiMonster  ปีที่แล้ว

      @AKALizxrd, 6ft says 180 all day, 140 says that you could be between the 172 and 180. If you are getting these to work on spins in the park, top speed isn’t our favorite, and you are working on feeling more nimble in bumps/trees then it might be more fun to ski the shorter 172. If your current skis are near 175 and you like to ski the whole mountain then 180 is likely the better move.

    Thank you for the review! the bent 90 suits me alot: twin tips but with an all mountain/freeride feel, good for every terrain but master of none, I have 3 skis in my mind but I'm not sure which one would be the best? Atomic Bent 90, BlackCrows Captis & the Dynastar M-Free 90 and I don;t know which I should get

    • @TheSkiMonster
      @TheSkiMonster  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Leonexes, all three of these skis are very close in comparison. They all have a playful and nimble feel underfoot, they’re light, and energetic and are happiest just cruising the park or casual groomers. Of the group, the Bent 90 is the most playful and the easiest to pivot and maneuver. M-Free 90 is a bit stronger underfoot and might provide slightly better grip on icier terrain. The Captis falls right in between the Bent 90 and M-Free 90. If you ski a ton of park and maybe a handful of groomers or tight terrain go Bent 90. If you do a little bit of everything and want a slightly stronger, quieter ski go Captis. If you want a ski that is still playful but hangs on a groomer better, go M-Free 90.
