Full rocker! It's sad that not many manufactures now produce full rocker skis...

Shoutout to Heritage Lab, WNDR, 4FRNT, Icelantic, Moment, and Volkl for keeping the dream alive

If you like a camber ski feel (tracking/hold in carved turns) but ski the whole mountain, can you go r-c-r in a longer length? Does that get more camber-like grip while being better in bumps/un-groomed snow?

@@jwruble sort of rocker will make it ski shorter but, you’ll have more tip deflection with rocker since it’s not fighting for contact like camber does. If you like carving and love your cambered ski keep one of those in your quiver and build out based on needs.

Rocker-camber-rocker is a good invention of marketing people to sell more skis for beginners or intermediate skiers. Rocker-camber-rocker skis is not that good at speed higher than average.
Rocker-camber-rocker profile tend to shorten the turn.
Also freestyle oriented Rocker-camber-rocker profile is generally not good for usual skiing. Because it's designed for freestyle skiing.
There's a many different flavours of Rocker-camber-rocker profile: with low camber, with short/long rockers and so on.
Full rocker skis shine in bad/tracked snow. The only thing which is required - to stay on edge at least a little bit to make them stable.

@@ambc38vsxn full rocker still won’t track as well on edge, full rocker isnt great. That’s why brands moved away from producing it.
Little more than marketing here man, sorry. Flex index however lotta marketing.

@@TheSkiMonster Haha, you does not seem to try (or understand it properly) old Katana or Mantra with Full rocker low and double titanal.
Full rocker is WAY better in a soft snow (anything deeper 10-20 cm of fresh slow) compared to Rocker-camber-rocker of the ski from this video.

@ why don’t they make those anymore? Because full rocker was a marketing story that didn’t work because they don’t ski better.

@ No, because vast majority of intermediate skiers will prefer rocker-camber-rocker.

@ most skiers do prefer rocker camber rocker because it is the most versatile profile, very different from 100% rocker.
