It’s hard to find time. I do a lot of hobbies. I read, play TCGs, board games, video games, the pod cast. With work, kids in sports, hanging out with the wife. So trying to do everything I want to do is a mental tax. So that’s what causes my burnout. I become mentally tired.
The only time I feel burnout is when I play the same deck for too long. This is why my mind is always on the move thinking about different jank decks to build. Gotta keep it fresh.
It also helps that you have a mindset to have a casual vibe. Yea playing jank can be one of them, but you can play a deck because of how it plays or it has your favorite boss through artwork.
I'm the type of weirdo that has 51 fully sleeved decks but I pretty much only play imperial twice a week at my locals different strokes for different folks.
I'm probably the odd man out but I have probably never been burnt out from playing beelze lol. I spent alot of money on my alts and dammit I'm getting my money's worth!
So something I want to comment on for the LM set. Some of the reprints from LM03/Lm04 reveals will be prize/participation cards for us in future. Since it is mostly brand new cards with not many reprints. The chaosdramon AA is part of EP7, and I believe the sistermon reprints will be AA of the starter deck ones ( though the AA are also part of the new evo cup)
😮As someone who is an assistant manager at a gas station that's a mile away from a college, airport, nfl hall of fame, hospital,business sector, has alot of construction workers, and I've dated 3 nurse's I can confirm Nurse's drink Celsius. Construction workers get monster's, 3 of 5 college professors get Rockstar. Retal and uber drivers get Nos or C4. Soccer moms get alani sorry Dan. Younger kids are getting prime. College kids are getting bangs. Alot of police officers and fire trainees get ghost. Then red bull is the consistent 2nd choice for all demographics and 1st choice for my Mexican customers. I know this is the meta break down everyone has wanted to know lol.
Our LM set isn't coming with the colored border reprints (as far as the info we have right now), we are only getting 8 alt art reprints - deathx, Chaosdra, sistermons from LM02 and from LM04 Ruin mode, Dragon mode, Grankuwaga and one more. One box of the set for us comes with 2 of the 8.
For the burnout aspect and expecting to win always for Dan I experience that same thing. I always need to optimize the deck I want to play. Currently doing that with Lilithmon and I have it optimized for the meta and the only matchup that is an issue is Magna X decks. I feel comfortable with the deck and can play it effectively in the current meta. Test out crazy techs in decks, test out ratios. You can make the meta what you want
Man, when you guys lay it out like that, East Coast really does get screwed on events, especially the NE US. With y'all on driving vs flying, and the difficulty of/unpleasantness of going without your wife, family, etc. I'm starting to really enjoy the game and starting to look into Regionals and stuff, but the physical locations are SO tough to make it to.
Hey, little comment about the LM stuff. In the announcement they never said we are getting reprints. They just talked about exclusive promos/cards from japan. Since we are getting some of those reprints, and the lm02 ones in event pack i think our lm box could include other things. There's at least four cards japan got and we still dont have gold analog youth, gold kimeramon, alt art junomon, alt art argomon.
I get to play new beelstar with old beelstar and you can't stop me Varni! No three muskets for me haha. I also bought 2 cases of EX7 because of Beelstar, Lilith X and Cendrill
I just think the meta has been to stale for a while. We know what are the top decks and who the future top decks will be. I think a shakeup can bring life to the meta. At least for me. That is whats causing my burnout.
I don’t see how you fit mirage into ancient gar. Since you’re normally warping into ancient you don’t actually run many level 5s, so you don’t have an evo line into mirage a lot of times.
Other way around. Some people are playing ancient in mirage. If you go to Digimon meta and check out some mirage deck lists you’ll see some people fitting ancient in. I love how we wasted 10 minutes on a japanese reprints. 😂 we're only getting the alt arts in the December product, not the event-pack cards. The reprints from LM04 will probably be our Event Pack 8.
I'm with Mike on Alt Arts. Like, why would I pay $60 for a card when I could pay $10 instead? If I pulled one it's great trade fodder, or I'll use it in my deck, but max rarity? No way. Especially since I hate the look of the pre-release, championship, etc stamps.
