Gotta respect the fact this man does 90%of the work himself and if he don’t know how to do it he learns by trial and error , you got other TH-camrs having other people assembling their WHOLE build and they sit back and record smh

@@lcameeno1 But something to be proud about doing it yourself and learning along the way. Way easier to pay other people and re-use that money again to do so. Learning takes patience and a lot of time. My man is doing bodywork, have you seen TJ paint? Adam? nope
Just a different vibe/content. But one is definitly more a "car" guy than the other one.

Not sure if i missed it, but it didnt look like you put any hondabond on the high pressure pump base. The base is the part that bolts to the head and high pressure pump bolts to it. Also, the fuel joint pipe that runs from the high pressure pump to the rail is a one time use item. The new pipe should come with polyethylene glycol that should be used. Not using a new joint pipe can cause fuel leaks right away or over time. Honda tech of 10yrs. Keep up the good work!!

Add a smart doorbell with notification and or a doorbell with an air semi horn so you don't miss those deliveries. Also, you'll have a recording to show if they really did attempt to delivery. I had this happen with you UPS a couple weeks back.

I believe if you get a subscription to a website like or similar to “alldata” it will allow you to to find out pretty much anything/any car to manufacture like the torque spec to and very specific questions concerns to any vehicle. Hopefully this helps man been watching you for awhile! Good luck on the build👍🏽

  • @texaspowerman

With the number of engines I’ve watched him rebuild in just a few months I’d think he would get a port and polishing setup and a valve cutter.
Cars run so much better on a properly ported head it would seem to be worth the time and effort, though when you can just turn the boost up a few more pounds I’m guessing it just doesn’t matter as much as a head the breaths properly.
So much work into this car, and isn’t this the first Honda he’s built? It’s going to be a “ripper”.

When the new cylinder head bolt is installed
    5.
Apply new engine oil to the threads and under the bolt heads of all cylinder head bolts.
    6.
Torque the cylinder head bolts in sequence to 40 N·m (4.1 kgf·m, 30 lbf·ft). Use a beam-type torque wrench. When using a preset click-type torque wrench, be sure to tighten slowly and do not overtighten. If a bolt makes any noise while you are torquing it, loosen the bolt and go back to step 5.
    7.
After torquing, tighten all cylinder head bolts in three steps (90 ° per step) in the numbered sequence shown.
    NOTE:
Remove the cylinder head bolt if you tightened it beyond the specified angle, and go back to step 3 of the procedure. Do not loosen it back to the specified angle.
Tighten the cylinder head bolts to the specified angle, using a commercially available angle gauge.

Awesome work Devin. So between the last episode and this one, nothing had to be rebuilt about the short block or cylinder head? It just being off alignment with the dowels, it was just repurposing most of it? I wish the best man, its just like for something like this if it went this far then I would think almost everything should have been either measured again or inspected. Cross fingers. Overall I think it will run but did you want to really 100% rebuild it or get it just running. Idk, I guess even I have had so much stuff in the past that should have just been deep dived into versus, get back to running condition.
