Great tips at the beginning, I totally agree about not buying "all the things", and instead focus on what you need decor wise after assessing your current inventory. Sometimes after shopping, I even go home without an item (which is risky), and if I am still thinking about that item days later (because I can definitely Invision it in my space) it means it's time to go back for it. In some cases the item might no longer be in stock when I go back, but then weeks or months later I happen to stumble on something just like that item but at a cheaper price! Love frugal accidents like that ☺️
I debated about buying two fall kitchen towels at Hobby Lobby with a gift card but decided not to spend $9. I went to a garage sale and bought 4 fall napkins with 2 matching kitchen towels for 50¢!!! Isn't God good?!?! I also found a clear leaf dish to use with a bar of soap in the bathroom for 99¢!!! I'm glad you had a fun, productive getaway! Andrea use only 2 inches of water in the vase and don’t add to it as water goes flowers will begin to dry. Also the best time to bring them in is when the petals feel papery. Hope this helps!!

I am so envious of the hydrangeas that you have to dry ... I have a whole hill full of bushes & last year the dear ate ALL of them. Last year I was inspired by natural decorations. I wanted magnolia leaves and didn’t have any. I went onto Facebook market place and asked if anyone would mind me trimming some leaves for decorations. I received so many responses to come by. I did and was so happy. I took pictures and sent them to the person that I picked. This year I will ask again and provide them with a handmade wreath. Just didn’t think of it last year. They lasted until News Years.

Hi Andrea , one thing I do is I get pillow covers for the seasons it's a lot cheaper and easier to store them than a whole lot of pillows. I have been going through a lot of my decorations and donating them because I've gone more neutral than the traditional fall oranges. I have a Christmas tree that hangs on the wall that I decorate through out the seasons. It's nice not having it sitting out in the way

I have not bought NEW decor in decades. There is so much seasonal / holiday stuff to be found in thrift stores that it makes no sense to pay retail for ANY of it. Pillows, blankets, pumpkins, candles, realistic fake flowers, scarecrow pieces, wreaths, tablecloths etc are ALLLLLL in the secondhand stores right now. Go forth and thrift!!

They sell hydrangeas at Trader Joe's - how do you dry them? They may be worth the investment if they'd last. I am still hesitant to buy faux stems.

Over the years, I've had to add the following, "Is this something that I want to keep, maintain, store or clean in the future?" followed by "If needed, how easy is it to return this item?". That last one alone has saved me several hundred in the past few weeks. It's incredibly stressful to go through the process of buying something, only to have it not work out and thus....need to be returned. Ugh!

My husband and I were hiking in a provincial wildlife area and I came across a bushes with little white berries .My hubby cut some stems and I have them displayed on my dinning table in a crock. It is so wonderful you have your mom and sister close by to share time with. Isaiah is such a good boy to let mommy shop ❤️. I am very sorry to say that I am highly disappointed in this video. I think you are a lovely young woman who has a beautiful family. I know you love them very much. So why on earth would you take your 5 week old infant into retail stores when Covid is rampant? Why would you go and take the risk of getting infected and then infecting your family? I have been vaccinated against Covid but only go shopping if absolutely necessary and always wear a mask. Please be careful, safe and well!
