I love how they had one of the alternates perform. This is one of the things I love about six. They do a good job in including the alternates in everything. They are usually doing the show a few times each week and they get included in tv performances unlike other shows who just do the main cast unless someone can’t perform for some reason. Also, Collette’s performance is incredible. So glad they are reposting these.
Of all the amazing performances from the full show, this one absolutely took the top spot for me. Never heard of the musical SIX and Collette, but she blew me away. Such expression and dynamics, absolutely stunning!
The musical is about the six wives of king Henry VIII being in a modern girl band and singing about their lives. This one is about Jane Seymour who, in case you don't no know, got married to Henry eleven days after Anne Boleyn (his previous wife) got beheaded and died after giving birth to Henry's long awaited son
I remember seeing her perform this July 31st 2019, at the 8pm show. She wasn’t even supposed to be on, and I’m sure it was her first show. Seeing this just gives me so much nostalgia 🥲💖
Actually that's what most people like abt Broadway, you can use your naked voice with no filter and you can make your own version of your song as if it's your own

One of the weakest versions of the song on youtube, which is a shame as it's such a strong yet emotionally charged song.
