Fahre seit 1960 Jawa Typ 354- 350 ccm, 2 Zylinder 2 Takt war fuer uns damals DAS Motorrad.
Nun gebe ich das Fahren auf, bisher unfallfrei, soll auch mit 80 Jahren so bleiben.
I grew up riding MZ and Tomos motorcycles ... all of course 2-stroke. Keep riding, don't give up ... freedom is an irreplaceable feeling. Cheers!

Both the Sei and the CBX are the closest thing to motorised music but the Aprilia Tuono and RSV V4 also deserve an honourable mention.
V4 yes ... but strongly depends on the mounted exhaust. Full Akrapovič Evolution would be my choice ...
@@goran2003 1998 Honda VFR with Staintune exhaust. My favourite and I bought it mainly for the sound. The rest of the bike is good, the motor and sound are amazing.

Kind of reminds me of the fantastic Honda six cylinder that Mike Hailwood used to ride in the TT races, unmistakable sound .
This "Six" engine is - in a way - a not-so-distant cousin of Mike's Honda :-)

No, Joey was a Honda man through and through.
Doesn’t look like a racer. At least not any more. We needed to hear it at max revs really. Not sure the owner would’ve risked that though!

This in not an "ordinary" Benelli 750 Sei ... this one is lighter, stronger, better ... this one is made for racing. Take a closer look ... lighter frame, Ceriani/FI fork, tuned engine (bigger bore and shorter stroke, 60x44 mm ... engine revs up to 12500 RPM), bigger oil pan, longer and lighter aloy swingarm, 6 carburetors, different gearbox, 320 mm brake discs with Brembo Serie Oro calipers, alternator removed ... 170 kg wet weight ready to race.

La Benelli 6 750 fu un'operazione commerciale di Alejandro De Tomaso che, vista la scarsità dei mezzi tecnici di allora - era il 1972 - e la promessa di uscire sul mercato in un solo anno, si inventò non soltanto di copiare, come tutti dicevano, ma addirittura di usare due motori tagliati dell'Honda 500, uniti insieme! Il mio meccanico di allora, quando già correvo con una Honda 750, mi mostrò non solo l'identità di tutti i particolari, ma addirittura i bollini di stampa delle testate esattamente coincidenti! Detto questo, De Tomaso, che era un vero mago e aveva una rara intuizione per accontentare il pubblico (vedi Maserati Biturbo), trasferì su quella moto un fascino indiscutibile, come si può vedere da questo video. Dopo un po' di tempo riuscì addirittura a farla funzionare (anche se per una breve durata) e il sound era assolutamente unico! Un progetto discutibile ma assolutamente affascinante!

I motori Benelli 750 a 6 cilindri venivano prodotti dalla Moto Guzzi a Mandello.....all'epoca anche essa di proprietà di De Tomaso.

Moto costosissime bellissime ma inaffidabili uscite da progetti validi ma mai sviluppati ma buttati sul mercato con tante pecche le giapponesi invece oltre ad essere belle funzionavano bene e tutti se le potevano permettere e questa fu una rivoluzione

I remember this bike when it was first launched. I never seen on on the street and not sure if it was launched in USA. It reminded me of the Honda 550/4 with 2 extra cylinders. Great sound!!
Actually, it is the Honda 500 with two extra cylinders. That is how the Benelli Sei 750 was created. And the sound is magical ...

With any italian of this period the weather has to be bone dry or the electrics, well it took the Slater Brothers in England to sort what then became the Laverda Jota out, so you could operate the switches with bike gloves on and ride in the wet, quite apart from boosting the performance. The other marques took note.
