  • Hi there,
    We made this video to share with you what shopping in a Turkish supermarket looks like. There are lots of options here in Fethiye to go grocery shopping and some of the bigger markets - like the one in the video - also sell household products, small appliances, clothing, etc.
    We hope you will enjoy this video!

    Spirits in Turkey are expensive, but we always find some great wines on special offer when we are there.
    Their supermarkets are excellent, from the very small ones right up to the large chains like Migros and Carrefour.
    And of course everyone likes an efes!

    Hello! As a Native Turk, this is not a normal price. Those prices are just about high taxes. Normal beer price is 2,5 TL but with the taxes it becomes 12,5 TL.

      If something is x price before tax and you have to pay tax, i.e it's mandatory then that is the 'normal' price as there is no other alternative price.

    Did you know that the MIGROS chain of markets is originally Swiss, The thing that prompts us to ask the question is that these markets forbid the sale of alcohol in Switzerland, but they sell it in Turkey, so why?

    What about drinking in the streets ? Does the police arrest for it or you pay some sort of penalty if you get caught ? Can i grab a beer and drink it while walking on the street without problems ?

    • @YashNico
      @YashNico  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Personally I haven’t seen people walking while drinking in the streets here so not sure what the ‘official rule’ is. However it’s perfectly fine to sit at a cafe or restaurant table and enjoy a drink outside.

      Turks are not Arabs. Turkish is a different race. Turkey is a secular country.

      The Turks escaped from the Chinese in Central Asia and settled in the present place. Turks are not Arabs. Turkey is a secular country. Anyone can believe in whatever religion they want. Alcohol is allowed. Men and women are equal in Turks. 1000 years ago, when the monarch went to war, the state was ruled by his wife. You can only marry one woman. It is haram to marry 4 women like an Arab. penalty is imprisonment. The number of female teachers in Turkey is higher than that of males. There are more female students than males at the university.
