What do you think? Does this look anything like a local 24/7 supermarket where you live in the world. Let me know in the comments, where your from and how this store compared to your local shop. I am very curious of how its differs..

This store reminds me of many of the regular grocery stores in the US with the dedicated aisles, open sushi counter, special natural/health food/items, deli counter where bulk cheese and meats are cut to your specifications. The one difference is that in the US there are way more frozen aisles than there are fresh food areas. I like the supermarkets you have shared through your videos. Thanks for such a great walk through, Russell.

Interesting, there’s no more 24 hour stores in my area anymore. If I could film in the store, in which is prohibited, then you would see empty spaces on the shelves, and outrageous prices. Moreover, the stores aren’t clean and bright either. Exactly, what country is being affected by sanctions? Certainly, it’s not Russia. Thanks for the tour.

@@marekokragy3341 Marek, Don't be so ridiculous, think a little bit.)
It has always surprised me how some alternatively gifted organisms allow themselves to open their mouths to an object they have no idea about.
      1. Even if sanctions on food and medicines have not been formally announced, but sanctions have been announced for all container sea, rail and air transportation to Russia. All previous logotic chains have been destroyed.
      2. It was Russia itself that imposed sanctions against food products from unfriendly countries, and now buys only what Russia needs for the assortment in grocery stores, along other new logistics chains.
All the former companies dream of returning to the Russian market again, but they are not allowed to do it yet, and it will be very difficult to do it in the future, because of the tough competition.
      3. Russia is one of the world's largest food producers and suppliers. More than 90% of the food products sold in Russian supermarkets are produced domestically, in Russia, it's independent.
      4. Even if Western countries really wanted to sanction food, they would never have succeeded, nothing depends on them.
How is it possible to sanction a huge country that is self-sufficient and does not care about wiggling and crawling from the outside?
This is not some Bulgaria or Poland, with which you can do anything.

This is definitely a beautiful new supermarket. In the US we have these nice big markets in and near cities, not in rural areas or small towns. The frozen food department is important because (in general) americans love to stock up on food so we can do less shopping. We often have large fridge/freezers, and many have extra freezers in their pantry as well. Its down to how ppl tend to live. I would love to shop every day or 2 and buy fresh products, but they would end up going bad. We also have cafes here in the big stores too. Not many places are open 24/7 since the pandemic. Stores just havent gone back to the old shopping hours unfortunately.

Yes it is from San Pellegrino, and this brand does have presence in the UK but in the UK their range is limited to carbonated water and some other generic drinks. No "Chino" in London. I have to admit it’s a great bot line, “food is not sanctioned”. There’s no counter-sentence. There’s a descriptive explanation of how Russia produces its own food (so it couldn’t be directly sanctioned); there’s a list of products banned from importing; there’s a list of medical (!) products banned from importing. But there’s no counter sentence. It’s like after imposing 17K sanctions and banning from sports they can still say, “we do not wish harm on the Russian people”.

At the same time, it’s interesting to see how imported products are still available despite the sanctions that have been imposed. The USSR had twice as many citizens as Russia now, most of the republics were supported by the common budget, that is, money and goods were taken from the RSFSR (Russian Republic, there were 15 republics in total) and given to other republics, and the Russians themselves therefore did not receive enough food and consumer goods that were produced on the territory of the Russian Republic, and of course there were ineffective methods of management and labor organization at the end of the life of the USSR. Now, with the separation of independent republics and extra eaters, the situation has become much better. Plus, the USSR sponsored many of the poorest countries in the world in Africa, Cuba, Mongolia. All this was paid for by an ordinary Russian citizen out of his own pocket.
