I'm speechless by Min-ji's immaturity, foolishness, and a staggering level of rudeness. Despite being an adult, her behavior resembles that of a 5-year-old. Above all, she lost in the game and should adhere to the rules; Gwan-hee's current partner is Hye-sun. What does she expect from the situation? Is she hoping for affectionate and playful interaction from Gwan-hee? I have no idea how Gwan-hee is expected to react to such behavior. I have the feeling that the reason why Minji choose Minkyu to go to paradise (not Jinseok) is because she all set to go all in for Gwanhee. It seems that she doesn’t want to give false hope to Jinseok and prefer to avoid him and comfortably enjoy the Paradise with someone she doesn’t have feeling with like Minkyu. Not sure if Gwanhee understand her perspective. On the other way, I have the feeling that Gwanhee kinda want Hyeseon because she is someone who is different and out of his league so, it kinda attract him to her. But at the same time, considering the personality and ideal type, Gwanhee attracted to Minji because they speak the same language not only “verbally”, “physically” and the way they think. I feel for Minji, although I think what happened on the plane was a bit much and disrespectful. I think we all should want the best for the participants, even if they made mistakes. I think Minji having an anxious attachment style and Gwanhee having an avoidant attachment style wouldnt make them a good match--it would make the dynamic unhealthy and leave little room for growth. I think Hyeseon has a secure attachment and would be good for Gwanhee, as I can see how she almost inspires him to be a better man. I dont love everything Gwanhee did this season, but I think everyone deserves a chance to be better.

I feel like we’re getting a little pro-Hye-seon bias from folks, here. Nothing in the context of this moment speaks to Gwan-hee trying to be fair to Hye-seon. This is about his reaction to Min-ji’s “defiance,” not deference to his technically being on a date with someone else. Prefer one girl over the other all you want, that’s totally fine...but where in the hours of footage we’ve seen has his shift in focus from one girl to another ever been based on what the proper etiquette of a situation is? It might sound ridiculous to some BUT before the selection for paradise, Minji asked Gwan-hee not to keep wearing his green shirt so that he won’t match Hye-seon with her green dress. As Gwan-hee came out (still wearing the shirt so that means they have a matching couple outfit) after being picked and left with Hye-seon, you were able to see Minji making an upset / trembling face. My guess is that her decision to pick Min-kyu instead of Jin-seok (who Gwan-hee asked her to pick) was an impulsive behavior because she was obviously upset at first. At the helicopter she started to feel bad as to why she wanted Gwan-hee’s attention.

I don’t think it was as complex as that. To me, he pretty much laid out exactly why he wanted her to pick him: Jin-seok would tell him about the date in a level of detail that would allow him to assess whether _she_ was “faithful” to _him_ while she was out of his sight. Gwan-hee hasn’t ever had a problem girl-hopping, regardless of how he left things with the last one he was with-but he is VERY concerned with how the girls express their feelings about him, including ONLY expressing feelings for him. Making the choice he asked for was a test, and her behavior on the date was a test-he just never expected her to “fail” the first part.
Everyone is shading the girl for crying over a boy she just met. But can we talk about how Gwanhee decided for her to pick Jinseok??? What a controlling freak! Is he scared that Minkyu will return him the favor since he (Gwanhee) tried to make moves on Gyuri? I have the feeling that the reason why Minji choose Minkyu to go to paradise (not Jinseok) is because she all set to go all in for Gwanhee. It seems that she doesn’t want to give false hope to Jinseok and prefer to avoid him and comfortably enjoy the Paradise with someone she doesn’t have feeling with like Minkyu. Not sure if Gwanhee understand her perspective.
On the other way, I have the feeling that Gwanhee kinda want Hyeseon because she is someone who is different and out of his league so, it kinda attract him to her. But at the same time, considering the personality and ideal type, Gwanhee attracted to Minji because they speak the same language not only “verbally”, “physically” and the way they think.
Also, seeing Gwanhee’s way of thinking, it seems that he is still indecisive and easily sway, and prefer someone who makes the first move and showing affection the way he likes (example he reacts to Minji’s approach, not Haejong). [in way, he regards himself as a trophy. Girls need to fight in order to win him 😂]
I think if Minji choose Jinseok to go to paradise, it might backfire her too, as Gwanhee will confuse that Minji inclines to Jinseok not him, so he will chosee Hyeseon again.
In my opinion, I prefer Gwanhee with Minji as their personalities match. I don’t think he deserves Hyeseon as Hyeseon is far from his league. Hyeseon is better with someone else. Same as Haejong she deserves better than Gwanhee.

Spot on. During their conversation before she chose, she literally said she didn't have any second option. But I actually think Gwan hee was telling her, in his own way, to go with Jinseok because he knew he'd falter. Dude knew he was going out clubbing and wanted to not seem like the bad guy entirely, by letting Minji have another option too. Something that's weird is that Gwan hee seems to hate it when girls go all in for him, even though he (supposedly) likes when they make the first move. First with Haejong trying to share a plate with him, now Minji refusing to go with a guy she has a connection with.

I agree. I think too shes so young, she probably hasn't been rejected much before or failed much before, I think she found it overwhelming. People have been hating Gwanhee since the beginning, so no one’s forgetting he’s a red flag. I think it’s more that in this instance, what Minji was crying over was ridiculous and what she was trying to do with Gwanhee was not only disrespectful to her own partner, but to Hyeseon as well. While I’m pretty sure Gwanhee reacted that way because he was mad about her partner choice, I think the disrespect she had towards Minkyu and Hyeseon deserved the cold shoulder

The main reason for this show is to gain popularity. If GH chooses HS he will have her followers as well. But maybe they didn't predict that she will be so loved by the public. I feel for Minji, although I think what happened on the plane was a bit much and disrespectful. I think we all should want the best for the participants, even if they made mistakes. I think Minji having an anxious attachment style and Gwanhee having an avoidant attachment style wouldnt make them a good match--it would make the dynamic unhealthy and leave little room for growth. I think Hyeseon has a secure attachment and would be good for Gwanhee, as I can see how she almost inspires him to be a better man. I dont love everything Gwanhee did this season, but I think everyone deserves a chance to be better.

I feel like we’re getting a little pro-Hye-seon bias from folks, here. Nothing in the context of this moment speaks to Gwan-hee trying to be fair to Hye-seon. This is about his reaction to Min-ji’s “defiance,” not deference to his technically being on a date with someone else. Prefer one girl over the other all you want, that’s totally fine...but where in the hours of footage we’ve seen has his shift in focus from one girl to another ever been based on what the proper etiquette of a situation is? If he were doing this to Hye-seon and not Min-ji, we’d be seeing a much different reaction in the comments-and he’d still be just as much of a jerk for not politely indicating that he was trying to focus on his date (if that’s what he was trying to do).

It might sound ridiculous to some BUT before the selection for paradise, Minji asked Gwan-hee not to keep wearing his green shirt so that he won’t match Hye-seon with her green dress. As Gwan-hee came out (still wearing the shirt so that means they have a matching couple outfit) after being picked and left with Hye-seon, you were able to see Minji making an upset / trembling face.
My guess is that her decision to pick Min-kyu instead of Jin-seok (who Gwan-hee asked her to pick) was an impulsive behavior because she was obviously upset at first.
At the helicopter she started to feel bad as to why she wanted Gwan-hee’s attention.

I don’t think it was as complex as that. To me, he pretty much laid out exactly why he wanted her to pick him: Jin-seok would tell him about the date in a level of detail that would allow him to assess whether _she_ was “faithful” to _him_ while she was out of his sight. Gwan-hee hasn’t ever had a problem girl-hopping, regardless of how he left things with the last one he was with-but he is VERY concerned with how the girls express their feelings about him, including ONLY expressing feelings for him. Making the choice he asked for was a test, and her behavior on the date was a test-he just never expected her to “fail” the first part.
