I love Buu’s playstyle… there’s cards specifically you play on curve and cards you play off leader, making Buu have this offensive/defensive swap every turn, reacting to what your opponents doing and specifically playing things around that Like PuiPui isn’t something you’ll ever really play on curve but he gets a LOT of usage off Buu’s effect which I think is cool!
So after testing yellow buu *immensely* i actually think hes good. Not frieza good obviously because i still believe that the dbs fw team fumbled really hard while creating frieza and ssb vegeta this early in the game, but buu is good. Field is an insane card because once it drops, one card of your opponent will be stunned forever. There is no chance of using that card again as fields outside of puipui and zeno are uninteractable. Uninteractable stun is just so good. 3c dabura into 2c vegeta/dabura is also a neat play to build board pressure but yeah the other wicked soul cards are just horrible. 2c dabura is neat against red and yellow as you can stun the big cards and rest the small cards with this one. 3c buu howerever jesus christ is that a stupid card.
Damn, i didnt realize buu's when kod wasnt once per turn. Yeah, a 25k that can pretend like every card in your hand is a giga ultra super combo is ridiculous. He definitely shouldve been a 20k with this effect. If you could threaten it with a regular leader swing or a 2 drop thatd be more fine, but you cant even drain the yellow player's resources by focusing down buu because it's already 25k. Its not even leaderlocked? What the hell.
Yellow tends to get weird powerful cards. 4 cost goku SR from set 2 is a 25K body…. Stuns one on play, stuns one while swinging…. And is a 10K combo card.
i still think yellow in general will lose to jiren, if youre playing a 3 cost card to proc an ko effect on jiren once, it doesnt matter much since even if you try to kill it, for the second time in a turn, with a swing, you have to outcombo a 30k base. Worst case scenario 4 drop jiren can just activate his effect before he dies, since he can do it in any battle during the opponents turn, including if hes the one being attacked, and draw you 2 cards, and thats one less buu you fielded that turn. On the other hand if all you are doing is play buu after buu every turn the jiren player will play jiren after jiren and swing for 30, draw 2 cards and neg an attack per copy, whereas all buu provides is 1 25k swing per turn. Buu might be the best card in a vaccuum, but i dont think its the best card the next meta.

I believe Zenoh could handle the Buus (might be too late at that point) because it doesn’t actually “target” them
Nope, zenoh does not touch it! His ability says "choose all cards" and this Buu cannot be chosen
