Your reviews provide valuable little details that I haven't seen anyone else bother with. It's as if you were the only reviewer who didn't have the manufacturer breathing down their neck. Take that as a huge compliment.
Thanks!’ It’s because I’m not a real journalist, I have a background as a technician so I just call it how it is. I’m terrible with words, but I have zero brand bias and truly feel all companies offer strong points and week points in their vehicles. I also don’t instantly gravitate towards exotics cars as being the “best”.
@@SarahnTuned Stay away from exotics, please. The internet is full of those reviews. Your reviews are down to earth.
@@ahmadghosheh3104 couldn’t agree more. I love these down to earth reviews. I bought my type r after Sarah’s review. It finally swayed me to buy one and I have had no regrets.
@@SarahnTuned you also aren't biased towards Toyotas and Hondas which is nice to see
2:54 bulit in Alabama. That’s How These Mercedes Suv’s got the nickname “Alabama trash cans” 🤣
Only Sarah would flog a $83,000 'mall-crawler' off road. Way to go! I too was impressed considering those 'slicks'. Great review.
You know.. I was genuinely impressed by it and think with AT tires it would make a great overland rig! 😊
@@SarahnTuned because they have the best traction control. I remember having a 2000 CLk convertible,3.2V6. And I was in Dubai, and following Land Cruisers on the sand in the beach area, with the ASR turned off partially. And the sistem, just acted as a rear lock differential. Really amazing sistem!
Mall crawler 💀🤚🏾
As a current Benz owner and a huge fan of Benz/AMG, I really appreciated this review, especially the thorough first half going through the entire vehicle.
Recently discovered your channel and am hooked, your presentation and personality make for an incredibly entertainig and informative video. Thanks for your hard work and take care.
Thank you!
I hope you Guys had a great time in Colorado
3:10 - "look at the size of the piping..."
Another double entendre of yours that is simply timeless.
Best channel on TH-cam hands down!
The downward facing fins on the differential are to get them into the air flow for better cooling. Gale Banks Engineering learned this developing their aftermarket differential cover.
Aftermarket finned diff covers have been around forever. Long before Banks ever brought one out. Why Mercedes decided to put the diff cover on the bottom is beyond me. They could of very easily cast cooling fins into the actual housing or used some type of external cooler. But instead they make the rear axle with a soft underbelly. Obviously it will never be used off road. This is just another reason why you should never take it off road.
I work for a company in Michigan just outside of Detroit...we Manufacture the speaker grills for this car...they are aluminum that has been laser cut🙂
Sarah and her off the wall remarks....I love it!!
Lol. We talk chassis codes in my business as a tier one manufacturer and I have launched programs for AAM. Small world. We also mold some plastic parts for that car, but that's not saying much. We are on just about every car made. Love your videos. Entertaining and I learn at the same time.
I could be having the sh*ttiest day possible and then a Sarah video pops up.
I know I’ll smile at least once…
I’ll be honest, I come here for the comedy. Your videos are hilarious. A very close second are the mod / resto videos. I love the attention to detail and the modding process. Thirdly (is that a word) are the tech reviews. As you mentioned above, no bias so no bs. And you look at and point out stuff most others don’t.
Sarah makes an ntunedly accurate point. How many vehicles are built cheaply but priced like this.
New word to join heatilated! Ntunedly! Love it 👍
@@betteheadbettehead4800 actually a heatilator is a thing my house has two of them
Thanks!
Sarah is getting so many innuendos in there compared to usual and i cant wait for the year end mashup :)
Super Impressed at the fact that, with those tires, that vehicle went over every hill. AMAZING
I was just working my way through your older videos, when this came along like the perfect ending to my youtube-evening! Yay! Also: full meat-ball score to you, for actually taking it off road. That's the spirit! - And you are totally right about the color green on cars. More green, now!!!
Thanks! I fell in love with that candy looking green that the Camaros had for a bit, it reminded me of my Hot Wheels cars when I was a kid
It was such a pretty color for sure! Thank you
@@SarahnTuned i am color blind, so if you parked it in front of a giant tomato, i would trip over it. feel free to review orange and bright pink cars.
This makes my day! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your followers 🙏 you are just the greatest 😊♥️
The Mercedes-AMG you need to survive Jurassic World.
The fact that this Beast was half made in America is bound to piss Scotty Kilmer off.
The supercharged turbocharged engine is all but guaranteed to finish him off.
What a fun ride along. You are dazzlingly precise in your explanations and way cute with your subtle humor.
My favorite drive tester on the interwebs. However, I think you said Cadillac converter instead of catalytic. A Cadillac converter would put fins on it. ;-)
Like your new hair color 😍
I'm with you Sarah, I love green vehicles too and wish there were more of them. Like for example, the Bronco in green looks amazing.
More people would buy green, if the manufacturers would offer it in great shades. ( Just guessing, have been out of the new car market, since they offered 26 color options, each year) 🥱
Thanks for taking it off road. It was nice to see how capable it was even with the wrong tires.
The engine reminds me of a hamburger I used to have at McDonald's along tim ago.
It's a Merc BLT. The hot side stays hot and the cold side stays cold!!!
I really love your reviews I find them very refreshing
Sarah, " I would follow you to the ends of the earth!" You posses a Hutzpah of demeaner and vocal quality that captures me "Completely"
Nice job on the hill climb, Sarah, despite the tires having the traction of a Big Wheel trike. Clear, concise and captivating! What more could you want except a bowl of Charming Lugs?
I just did a day off-roading in a G Wagon and it was amazing, the tech in these things is really impressive
We tested these on dirt bike / ATV trails out in Utah and the performance was amazing. We had a the seat massage and it was great. Love them.
Sarah doesn't just do reviews, she understands the cars she's reviewing the details in this video is amazing 👍
That Merc-Truck must have a very competent 4x4 system to take those hills on those tires!
Felt that way
You do by far, the best automobile reviews that I've seen. I like how you put the vehicle on a lift and show the underside and go into detail explaining the undercarriage. You go into great detail by removing the engine cover and show what's under there. When you were performing the off road test I was imagining that cast aluminum bottom facing diff cover to be smashed to bits. The engineers at Panzerwaffenfabrik GmB oops I mean Mercedes, will be screaming "Ach nein!" when they see you traversing that steep grade. That was awesome! You really put it to the test! Your comment of finding a competent technician to service the vehicle was spot on. Keep up the awesome reviews!
ALright,.. that outfit,.. those shoes,.. I have no idea what you reviewed... I passed out for a sec.
Yeah, that straight-6 was very unexpected -- nice! The V6 is so popular these days, it's interesting to see MB go with a straight-6. Its off-roadiness was also quite surprising -- I totally agree that with the right tires, it would be quite capable, for what it is.
Diesel engines are top notch in offroad ,would be amazing to see a side by side comparison with a GLE 400d
I wish we had that engine option in the US!
Super Cute outfit you chose. (please keep hydrating)
I love your outfits! pls start listing where you get em!
Love MB Engineering.
Adding stupidosity to my vocabulary.
Hi again Sarah. I'm subscribed to two hundred and twenty channels on You Tube, and somehow, magically, your channel has moved to the top of my list. Thank You Sarah!
haha the "cadillac" converter. you are brave to take the truck offroad with those tires. the lighting in your shop is amazing.
sarah has it all, her wit and charm keeps things interesting.
I counted 65 dollars in donations from the commentators. Not bad for only 145 comments.
This SUV is a fine example of what soccer moms with too much disposable income buy who worry about getting stuck in the dirt parking lot at the soccer field. Seriously most people who have the means to buy a vehicle like this drive it for five years or one hundred thousand miles then trade it in or they lease it for two or three years. I enjoy watching your channel!
Love your videos - keep up what you’re doing! Because you’re doing it right.
Thanks for taking it offroad, i’m waiting for mine to be delivered (same color :) ) and i’ve never seen a review that went offroad, so thank you for that. Loved the rest of the video as well, keep it up! :)
More German car reviews ja? PS: Here in Europe it's usually mounted on the German Continental, Pirelli, Michelin or Goodyear but never seen AMG rims on Yokohamas, must be an US phenomenon.
At this price point, I'd rather get a Lexus GX460, for the sake of durability. That crazy-complex Mercedes engine would make me nervous every time I started it up.
My good friend has 200k miles on her ML63 AMG and aside from a couple oil leaks that she replaced the gaskets herself it’s been problem free 🤷🏻♀️. I think it’s all on the owner that makes the difference!
Great tech review followed up with the cute outfit!
Great review Sarah! Very thorough as always.. 👍😎🏴
The color is very nice, and I like the supercharger/turbo combo
You go Sarah, all those TV & fully funded channels haven't got a look in, nor the effort you put in. We love watching all the reviews you put out there for us all (in the UK too) Maybe a TV channel could pay you? But don't change your styling, everything is on the mark. Thanks.
DGLE Dark Green Locomotive Enamel (incorrectly called "brunswick green" by many less evolved folks). Used by the Pennsylvania Railroad, in certain light and angles it looked black and in other types of light and angles it looked very dark green. This has been your nerdy train fact for the day, take care now.😀👍

Happy Saturday Sarah!!!
I'm not an SUV person, but that thing has a great profile on those wheels, would be fun to mess with people on a track day at a road course with it.
Antarctica.
🤣🤣 Great review as per always.
Stay excellent!!!😎
Nice review Sarah ! It’s great you know so much about vehicles. Love it 😀
That green is truely AMAZING🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love that outfit too, but the one yoy used with the lexus is still the best
"Come On" that's a car wow quote right there!
🏁
I always enjoy your videos. Thank you for your time.
I was really hoping that you would call it the "McDLT" of engine compartments.
I give you a 4.7/5.0 Butterflies score for how cute your outfit looks! 😍
The most challenging part about working on a Mercedes-Benz is the diag. as most issues are in the electronics. When it comes to the nuts and bolts they're among the easiest cars to work on.
Sarah, if I may please, wow, you are an amazing person! Your skill set and work ethic are off the charts! And I must say, I love the straight forward, dead pan delivery. You come across as someone who is actually telling me what and why you are doing things and not some “super-expert” type who sounds more like bragging then talking to me.
I have gone back and watched a lot of your videos including the Ranger Project - awesome tribute.
And finally, as a Jarhead myself, I must say, Awesome Work, Zoomie!
That color is just a shade darker than my favorite… British Racing Green. Probably why I love the Hakone Edition 86, as well. The exhaust camera view when giving it the beans almost sounded like a whistling turbojet. Fabulous review. Thank you! 👍👍👍
Hakone 86 will be a collector car for sure!
@@SarahnTuned Someday I’m going to have one. 🤞
Whatever you do Sarah, keep on being you! Love your reviews and your builds!
Shocked it made up the hill with those Road Tires, Great review. Nice 👦🏻👍🏻🏎️🏁
That outfit though, well done!
Awesome review as usual 👍 I know its probably not appropriate to say now a days, but nice outfit too.
Thank you for your good work. Watching your videos is always a pleasure.
I test drove the car's baby brother last week and was really impressed by the 2.0T
Love your videos Sarah. You are amazing, smart, funny and adorable.
Skirted science should be a must !!
Giant unibrow screen...🤣🤣🤣
I learn something every time I watch, always interested and funny. Hot car nerd teaching us really helps. Thanks Sarah
15:01 ha. Welcome. Eastern Block configuration selected.
I kind of wish to see a Mazda in green, like a Mazda3 or something.
The off road uses are usually used by European costumers
5:38 You hair looks fantastic! (I'm sure you probably didn't think so, so...)
17:18 loved the pause at 17:43! 🤣
This was a great review!
19:35 was Hot FIRE!
No!
Straight sixes tend to be unbreakable engines. I think the pairing of the super with the turbo will minimize the sharp curve of boost and the wear and tear that a boost charge brings to an engine - and again, since it's a straight six, it's going to last longer than a four.
Yes Sarah, soft things are usually very nice !
Claude.
Great review! I am definitely interested in this ride so thank you!
Not only are those not off road tires, but they are extremely well worn.
That car Lift is effin slow , It needs a a turbo on it. love your boots by the way.
that colour is my new favourite
Can’t believe it made it up the steeper hill on summer tires.
Can’t believe the AMG went up those hills with those tires Sarah :0
On your offroad footage, have you considered adding a wifi-camera to stream to say a small ipad with it mounted with a vantage of the undercarriage as you're going up/down the testing hills? Yea it'd even more hardware to take with you, and I'm sure you love spending time in the AZ heat setting up cameras all over your test vehicles, but hey, you're Sarah. Making rad content is kinda what you do! ;) The logitech Mevo might be a useable option for this. It'd also make for a live spotter view to prevent undercarriage scrape on your press cars. Rad content, as always!
Too much for me to mess with while I’m driving. I have a short window of time with good light filming these outdoors.
Nice hair cut and hair color. The review, as always, is excellent.
Great review, informative and detailed like few others manage. However, if you think this vehicle is expensive in the U.S. you should check what it costs in Europe, almost 2 x !
Green is right on.. my dune buggy is green ! Nice Mercedes for sure.. i will turn on my filter and just say very nice outfit .. 👍
That Merc straight 6 sounds awesome, reminds me of the sonorous BMW N55.
i love green vehicles, when the color is pretty
Uhhh, Mercedes Benz still sales the G Wagon in the US and they still manufacture the Unimog which is the larger utility truck in Germany. It has many applications from heavy duty cargo truck to emergency vehicle and more....
those tires look like steer tires all round ok for fronts but need grippy ones on the back. yup, i dont believe in front wheel drive, neither do i believe in tire rotation.
Hi Sarah. Wow, I love that color! I've had a bunch of green cars too. As is my Gold Wing. A marvelous machine indeed. (The Mercedes, I mean, but my wing is too).
Mate the Aussie Army has absolutely hundreds of Merc Gwagons and Utes, even 6wd so yeah they definitely make them
Nice ride, even if you gassed the seat! 😛🤏👍
Thanks for sharing 👍
Sarah? You did a great job, l didn't think it was climbing up the larger hill, and you made it look easy.
Yes to a highly modified version, beefy off road tires, wheel arch flares, 750 or more beans. 😀
See you next vidio.
👍✌🏻🙋♂️🌤 🇨🇦 😎.
Quality stuff this. I think this is the first review I see where I get to see what is underneath
Seeing how much is made in America is pretty cool
