I respect a car manufacture that lets a TH-camr review a $250,000 car. And Sarah is one that will do an honest review regardless on how expensive it is.
$200k+ with only 577hp and 0-60 in 3.6 seconds is insulting. This car is a rip-off!
Manufactured by Mercedes? Of course it is! Most Mercedes are problematic unreliable overpriced money pits that people get suckered into buying for the bells and whistles and shiny crap. They'd be better off buying a used Toyota or Honda.

@@cali2468 Yeah, that's barely average performance now days, especially when you factor in the cost; it's absurd. There are so many better cars to get for that price. A base Corvette convertible costs 70k-ish, and does 0-60 in 2.7, lol.
I'm sure it drives well at 140 mph on the freeway, but what performance car doesn't anymore? Modern cars are way too easy to drive, and wayyy too expensive.

If the manufacturers are truly proud of their products, they shouldn’t care what reviewers do with them. This being said, your reviews are by far the most in-depth and real-world related compared to all the other reviewers who are basically paid to gloat about the product. 👏🏻👍🏻

Major props to Mercedes for providing the car. I've never been a Mercedes fan but damn this one really earned my respect. I really didn't expect this to be a front mid-engine either, very cool layout.
I'd buy the LC500 and own it indefinitely. It's gorgeous, sounds amazing, and will be a great cruiser. I'd lease the SL and give it back before the warranty expires.

Mercedes is a force to be reckoned with that last few years...and this review was easily the best I have seen on the AMG SL63 convertible Sarah! Respect.

I can't remember the exact specs from the Prelude 4WS but the principle is the same. Passing someone on the highway, they turn the same direction and in parking lots they turn opposite for a tighter turning radius. One more reason to miss the 80's.
Too bad you can't get more of these. You are only one of a handful of reviewers on YT that give us the straight dope . Their loss though.

BTW, those hydraulic dampers mean the car has "magic carpet ride" the car can lean into the corners to counteract lean in the twisties. They are also available on the GLS where the 48V system gives them even more mesmerizing capabilities.

Thank you for reviewing cars the way you do using real world criteria. I could not afford to buy a car like this because I don't want to live in it, besides I own my cars for at least 10 years and after all the fancy stuff starts to break in 7 or 8 years I couldn't afford to fix it.
Buy a series R129 series SL, I bought a used one in 2003.
368k km on it now.
My yearly servicing is mostly changing filters and fluids.
It's cost less to run in the last 15 years, than my wife's Audi A4 Quattro in the last 5.
Great review, Sarah. I love the exhaust note on this car. I'm glad that you demonstrate features like that. BTW...your turbo blowoff noise sounds very similar to Emelia Hartford's turbo blowoff noise. Just a fun You Tube fact. Keep up the great work.

Yeah, convertibles here in AZ are also asking for the sun to destroy them in short order, unless they're kept indoors or in the shade all the time when parked. Pretty rad car though, great review as per always!

I have been waiting for this review, i have the pleasure of driving every model of Benz. This is second to my favorite which is GTR Pro
This is the second revue I have watched of Sarah’s and, if anything it’s better than the first which was the Range Rover. Hugely knowledgeable, great insight and a practical approach with some humour thrown in. In the future, if I want to really understand what makes a car tick, or not as the case may be, I want to see a Sarah review. Thanks Sarah another brilliant video😊
