Hey look it's Shaun, our BC connection. Dropping below the boarder on your trip so figure drop in on a few tubers down here as well eh. Now I know where Nate started getting production/editing tips from. Till later on your......Story Line //
I wheeled with a couple of gladiatiors for the first time yesterday, 2 on 37s, 1 on 40s, I'm in a TJ on 35s, about as polar opposite of a vehicle as possible, but damn if those things aren't impressive. It takes a little extra time moving that much vehicle through the rocks but they are very capable machines with very little modifications.
Perfect timing. After spending 9 years part swapping on my JK, I finally have it where I want it. Time for a new build, more for overlanding and daily chores but still capable of entertaining a wild left turn into the rocks. I'll pick up a 2021 Mojave in a couple weeks. I've spent months researching vehicles, options, lifts etc. Lots of info out there but not much provided in a manner like this that makes absolute sense. Looking forward to following along with your build
I also went with the Clayton lift but 2.5 with falcon shocks . Changed out the tierod and draglink to something beefier. Still waiting on gears to come in for 37’s. Love these trucks
I'm going to regear as well. Just waiting on the rear install kit and I will be good to go 👍 A gladiator on 37s is underrated lol. I borrowed one from Jeep when I was at moab in April. Super capable!
@@DirtLifestyle I agree on the 37’s . I wont be able to get it into my garage to work on . Used to be into mustangs which were low. So we decided to move and get a bigger garage with higher ceilings. Thanks for the content by the way.
I’m definitely not a Jeep guy this was a great video. I’m jealous of the factor of being able to install tires that big so easy. Look forward to every Sunday with the new video. First thing I do when waking up. Happy holidays to you family.
Thanks dude! I'm jealous too lol. I've been building 4x4s for years and have never owned something this easy to modify. I never thought I would buy a new jeep because I like the old 4x4s way better but these new rigs are pretty undeniable at this point. Have a great Christmas 👊
@@DirtLifestyle I’m Toyota the whole way here and I have 3 rigs… 1st one is about to go to 40s within next few weeks and the amount of cutting and fab that has to be done to clear them is insane. I’m interested to see what you do with the 3rd gen Tacoma. The 3rd gen, is a very much different from the second GEN, which is praised to be the best generation by far. I do like some of the new features that come with a third gen tacoma, but I’ve also heard of a lot of problems with them. Excited to see where you take all of your new toys and also what the jeep is going to be like once you are done with the work on it. Can’t wait for EJ‘s this year.
The tazer programmer is a life saver for anyone who can't afford to have a shop do it. My wife got a crazy deal on some 35's for her 2020 JLU sport and the programmer made it easy to fix the speedo and shift points. Does a few other cool things.
Would have been sweet to see the boss's reaction to the 39's. I bet by this stage in your sickness, she is use to the craziness you have coming out of your shop. I can not get over that color. The info you gave on the lift was very good insight.
The sensors are called TPMS sensors. Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensor. I have also called them TPS sensors for so long changing that is very tough. Those are really cool wheels. I have never had normal bead locks let alone something like this. Absolutely love this channel and your content! I dream about having a shop like yours some day and learning to fabricate.
My 22 JT rubicon should be here in a couple weeks, can’t wait. And I completely agree with you about the looks of these JTs. Gotta be lifted with bigger tires
Little tip on those beadlocks......... stretch the rubber a little bit and put grease in the gasket groove.... then you can install them right side up and makes install a breeze... takes me 15 20 minutes a wheel by myself. Great video thanks! Oh and I had no problems with that bolt in the frame..... must be a gladiator thing cause no issue on my wrangler
One of your best videos. We (including yourself) can see you skipped a lot of detail for time and viewablity. I appreciate that this was a good choice for the majority of viewers. I would have enjoyed more detail on the mounting technique of the shock reservoir, the computer reprogramming, etc. Keep up the outstanding work.
Yours is the only channel I like the videos before I start watching. Love your content! You're always informative, fun, friendly, and I feel like I'm in the shop with you!
I put the same lift on my Gladiator (gas) about 4 months ago. Love the lift but hated dealing with Clayton. They were off on delivery by 6 weeks and didn’t seem to care one way or the other. Love your vids brother. Keep up the good work. Your wife’s Gladiator looks sick by the. Way.
You can totally get that bolt out, I just did one and if you take the control arm off up front you can wiggle and twist the the control arm and change the angle of the bolt and get it out.
I installed this kit 2 years ago on my 2019 JL Rubicon to fit 40 inch Patagonia's. First off, great kit! A few things I did to tweak it to my liking. The front upper arms are still too short for 3.5 lift and a super soft ride IMHO. I used EVO drop brackets up front and they dropped the upper arms mounting position down 4.5 inches and the lowers down 2.5 so they both ride almost level now. That softened up the ride better then stock but changed the geometry enough the springs now needed help to keep up with what the rears were doing. Teraflex 1.5 spring spacers gave back everything the EVO brackets took away and I retained the comfy ride. That setup has been working FANTASTIC right up until last week. My front driveshaft gave up and took out the trans cooler leaving me stranded on the side of the road on fire! This happened one week after driving 2200 miles from SoCal to my new home in Tennessee. Good luck on your new family toy and please learn from my mistakes. Replace the front driveshaft! Yes, I will be using Knoxville Driveline from the Bleepin Jeeps videos. ;-)
Great video as always Nate! I love the look of your truck on 39's. And I couldn't agree more that we build them to go make memories! Keep up the great work!
Should have watched this before I purchase my last kit, not for added discounts, they got me, but more for your support. (Washingtonian living in Torronto)
It’s AMAZING how just a set of large tires. Can make or break a truck. I’m not a real fan of a Gladiator with stock tires. Big tires really make this Da Bomb.
I know right? I wanted to run 33s on my 4Runner, but didn't want to lift just yet. So of course I'm running 32s. Toyota better get their sh!t together on their next generation of 4x4s.
Trick w/ orings that size that like to pop out of their groove and then your wondering if they're in position is to put them on a piece of cardboard, apply thin layer of rtv, install and let dry. That way ya know there in position. Do it all the time when working on hydraulic cylinders for injection molding machines. But anyway, yeah that is very cool 39's can be put on the Gladiator easily w/a small lift. 👍good stuff

I thoroughy enjoy watching your skills at fabrication and common since to make each project and problems easier. Keep up the good work.
the thing about the gladiator is that there is no other vehicle like it on the road. solid axels, removable roof, removable doors all weather interior. if money was no obstacle i would buy one
I was looking forward to this. I have the same lift and was hoping you'd touch more on setting caster, pinion angle, etc... fighting with wandering and some wobble.
Only recently started following but I’m hooked. I love the content. I appreciate how you explain things and enjoy seeing the different builds. The taco crawler is what brought me in but I’m here to stay. Do thanks for doing what you’re doing and teaching along the way
I have a '21 JT-R Diesel as well and ran into the bolt issue on the front passenger control arm. You can get it out. You pull the bolt out as far as possible, then rotate the pinion up with a jack and that will pivot the arm forward putting the bolt on just enough of an angle to pry it out. You absolutely just need to reverse the bolt by putting it in from the outside and the flag nut on the inside, opposite how the factory did it. I hope you have better luck on with the rear sway bar end link mounts to the frame, they loosen themselves over time and pop out on the trail. I only have 5.5k miles on it and have lost 2 and always carry spares....red lock-tite, factory torque, still work themselves out if you wheel them a lot, which I do. 6.5" Evo HD springs diesel springs, Metalcloak gamechanger arms and trackbars, KMC Grenade beadlocks on 37s. That might sound like a big lift, but we live near the Rubicon and run lots of rocky NorCal trails every weekend, that height keeps your sensitive diesel bits out of the rocks. A company is now making aluminum belly armor for the diesel, and along with trussing the front axle and 40s is our winter project. She's a beast and I love wheeling the heck out of it. It has a Rebel 1/2 height bedrack, winch , bumpers, fridge, rooftop tent, and a pair of kids...makes memories and treks to outrageous camping spots. I'm a Tacoma/Lakewood native now living in CA, and have run Elbe in various Jeeps and fullsize rigs. We definitely build them different for the PNW, than NorCal.
