    Good luck to the young owner of new coffee shop in Islamabad. Hope his business prospers like Dunkin's Donut and Starbucks. However, the fact remains that Pakistanis are tea-drinkers, not coffee-drinkers. I am sure he did his market research prior to plunging himself into coffee business. May be his customer base is the expat population.
    Location. Location. Location. Coffee shops and tea houses succeed in densely populated or tourist areas with heavy foot traffic. He must sell hundreds of cups of coffee and sandwiches each day to make a decent profit. In the West, the gross profit margin on coffee business is 50%.

    First off Congrats to brother Farhan for his coffee business, insha Allah with your exposure he'll get more customers that are local and even the expats. One of the few business that always are bound to thrive in Pak are food business, because people love eating out over there. With most businesses getting away with corruption and foul politics, food business can be hit and miss, hopefully for this brother though it's a hit as he's introducing something new taste.

If you’re wanting to move for to practice Islam I’d recommend Qatar over Dubai. Im working in Dubai at the moment but trying to find work in Qatar again which is where I started. I regret moving here to Dubai. I’d even suggest Abu Dhabi ahead of Dubai if its for deen.

    Assalam u alaikum. I'm really considering spending a few months a year in Pak, as the winters in the UK are not good for my physical and mental health. However, fast internet is a real big concern. I run my own online business, so I need fast internet all the time. Last time, I was staying at a 5 star hotel and their Internet was terrible. Also, I have a Jazz 4g dongle that I use on the move in Pak, but again, same issue. Please advise.

    • @MyBritishPakistaniLife
      @MyBritishPakistaniLife  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ukanwars it is better to stay in an apartment as opposed to a hotel for two reasons. Fast broadband and cheaper daily rate.
      A hotel will have one broadband modem and share the Internet with repeaters to each floor of the hotel and therefore cutting the speed.
      Whereas an appartment will have its very own dedicated (10mbps minimum) wifi modem.
