@Aquarium Co-Op soon I will be getting a 40 gallon breeder, and I’m planning to put: 1 Ranchu or pearlscale goldfish 10 rosy red minnows 2-3 dojo loaches Does this sound ok? If not what do you think will work better, I want as many dojo loaches as possible lol. I already have the 10 minnows in a different tank so I can’t get less of them or anything. Thx!
If your anything like me dude nope you never will always wants bigger and better say the man with 7ft 300 gallon tank in his fishroom as didn't have a holiday last year lol 😆
Next time you do a "top " list, I would suggest starting from the bottom going to #1. More drama....more to get excited about. Keep up the great content!
I’m not surprised about the ember tetras! I got 7 of them form my planted 20 gal and they’re wonderful. I even just found out I now have 8! I’m a fish grandma! 😂
I had 11 but I can't for the life of me figure out what happened to one of them. It just disappeared one day. I have a 10 gallon with just embers and ottos. Not in the filter, not on the floor, not under the substrate. A real mystery.
@@sunflowermouse307 I had a group of them and same here, just disappear. Obviously they are somewhere but man for the life of me I can't figure it out haha
What I really love is that if someone said to you “hey, I’m new to fish keeping, what’s a good fish to get” you could literally just say “pick 3 from this list, maybe 6 of each per 15 Gal?” and it’d be hard to go too wrong!
@@bradlocken2621 Guppies will eat their own fry and keep their own population in check. Honestly I’d be more worried about the endlers because they take longer to reproduce but they don’t tend to eat their own young.
One thing I really loved Cory was that you went through each one with brief descriptions and pros and cons. Great video always love watching your stuff!
Been watching for awhile now and I recently found out you guys are really close by and I was able to convince my dad to let me stop by your store to buy fish today 👍🏽
Thanks Cory and aquarium co op for keeping this hobby alive for me when I first started keeping everything was always going wrong and I was ready to quit the hobby till I found this channel it’s changed everything for me and I’ve had nothing but success thanks to this channel keep doing what your doing you are making a difference for people in this hobby well I can speak for that anyway 👍
Heck yeah endlers! Last summer, I started with 5 from Facebook, a couple male guppies with cool looking traits, and a 100 gallon stock tub on the patio. Now I have a 29g long full of a rainbow of colours and more fry than my single apisto can handle. Getting jazzed for springtime, and the addition of new genes to the pool! Everyone gets to party outside for the summer.
Is it Jimmy taking all that video? I was thinking as I was watching that the videographer is amazingly talented. Absolutely beautiful, detailed shots! Cory is lucky to have that guy filming for him.
I find it fascinating that when my tank crashed due to a pump going out over night, my all my neon tetras died and since then my corycats have been so active, swimming around more, and laying eggs now! I want to get some top dwelling fish for my 20 tall but, I don't want my corycats to go back to hiding a lot and basically moping around compared to how they act now! I also wished that I could transform my 20 tall into a 20 long for them!!
Same here! I got one because he was alone in the store and I felt sorry for him, figured in my tank he'd at least have otos and guppies for company, and that I'd get more when the store could get more. That was November, and they finally were able to get more last week! Poor little lone dude had started to mope, so I'm so glad he has friends at last! I now have eight, including him, and planning to add another four or five, they're so adorable, and as far as cories are concerned, the more the merrier! The new batch are half the size of the first one I got, they're so wee! It's so cute. They school together at times, but also hang out in groups of three or four. I think they'll be even more active when I bump the school number up more. I'd quite like to breed some too. I raised some bronze cories last year when mine surprised me with a spawn. Was a scary challenge since it was my first time with an egg layer, but the fry are so cute and it's really rewarding managing to raise some of them. Pygmies would be even more challenging, but would love to have mine breed.
Seriously. I was just walking by my tank yesterday and I see the neons all the time since they are in a tank in my bedroom, but they caught my eye as they seemed to flash in the light. Really beautiful and often under appreciated by me sometimes 😄
Oh wow, you've been breeding yours? Please tell me how you're doing it! Are you leaving the eggs in the tank to hatch and raising the fry with the adults, or removing the eggs to raise them? I just got a school of pygmies, and have been wondering about maybe trying to breed them once they're grown. My bronze cories in a different tank surprised me with a spawn in October. They were actually finishing their month quarantine before going into the main tank, when I woke up one day to eggs everywhere on the glass, and panicked! Had only raised livebearers before. A cory keeping friend talked me through what to do, ended up with seven young cories that I've kept and have joined the other bronzes in the 60 gallon. I gathered the eggs and put them in a container inside main tank with an air stone, removing fungused eggs etc. Made a fine mesh breeder box to raise the fry in after they'd hatched. The wrigglers were so crazy tiny, and those were bronzes - I can't imagine how tiny pygmies must be!
That is why I love my red rums they are the best when telling if something is wrong with my tank. Canary in a mine shaft I like how you described them.
I am learning what I can before jumping into designer type shrimp but have a nice high end guppy farm going currently. I think shrimp would Make a nice little side project. Thank you for the upload.
Not surprised all the schooling fish and shrimp are on this list because people buy 10 or 12 at a time but something like Bettas sold singularly are not on a bestseller list. I'd be interested to see a top 20 list where a sale of 12 tetras was classed as 1 sale. Still really enjoyed the video though 😊
Great list! I have Silvertips but I do not like them though. They are not stressed out or something, but they are very aggresive to my other fish and other silvertips. I have many silvertips with half a tail and such and it just looks horrible, will definitely go with neon tetras and cherry barbs bext time
I have to say I was a little surprised at the order of the list 🤔. I’d be interested to see the 26-50 order as well. Thanks Cory and the gang at the coop!
Just bought dome plants and they all arrived in great shape! They look awesome in the tank, thank you so much! And sorry kuhli loaches, danger noodles are reserved for sneks 😂 awesome video
I always say there are at least 20 in your top 10 when it comes to stuff like this. I'm glad to see Platies make the list. by far my favorite community tank fish. they just seem to be overlooked so often these days because they have been around so long everybody just sees them as the beginner fish or the fish you keep because it's tolerant of your mistakes, kinda thing. My favorite fish, when I was a kid, was a Platy I had named George when I was in grade school. It's probably been 35 years now but I think it's time for me to own another few Platies. I'd been distracted by central and south american cichlids (I LOVE Oscars), Lake malawi cichlids (yawn), and other stuff but I really want to get back to basics with livestock and focus on trying planted tanks now.
I used to love watching and breeding fish for show's and I had one super prized one a read flame guppy pair. I was in my 20's and I knew I wanted them. They had just won the east coast national show, down in the Newport news VA AREA..

i think i put too much fish in my 10gallon i need a bigger tank AAAAAAAAAAAH
We need a top 50. Never enough lol
true
We need the sales report for the year
Hahaha agreed
50 Isn’t enough, go for five hundred
Yes, that was fun. I’d like to hear numbers 21 through 40 next. 🙂
I am never going to financially recover from this hobby. LOL
Lol!!!
Too true
I think this every time I see a new corydora or bristlenose pleco.
Breed and sell.

Making the trip to the Coop one day is on my fishkeeping bucket list.
same
Me too
Where is the Co-op located?
Neon tetras are definitely the most iconic aquarium fish in my mind. People can usually recognize and name them whether they're in the hobby or not. 🐟

Cory You are So Cool You describe ever fish with such enthusiasm makes it hard to have just one aquarium
Aquarium CO-OP is the best. 👍

I love my crazy noodle loaches haha. They are always fun to spot and watching them swim around.
One thing I really loved Cory was that you went through each one with brief descriptions and pros and cons. Great video always love watching your stuff!
I love this background the most Cory. I love the vibes
Wish I lived a bit closer to your store. On the east coast.Thank you for all the info. I have learned a lot about planted tanks!
If I make a trip to the US (from the UK) I want to be able to visit the store!
This is another reason why I’m a member of the channel. Great information and entertaining content.
38 years of fish keeping neon tetras are still my favorite! Also African dwarf frogs are a very close 2nd.
Been watching for awhile now and I recently found out you guys are really close by and I was able to convince my dad to let me stop by your store to buy fish today 👍🏽
Lucky you

I like when Cory is like ah I didn’t know that. It tells me me things can change even constant things need to be tweaked.
Thanks for a wonderful video Co-Op crew!!!
Its nice to see videos about fish from you Cory and Dean! it always make my day! love from cold
Sweden!
Love your video's. Soon as I started to play it the whole family stopped what they were doing and came to watch!
I've kept nearly everything on this list. Great vid!
Thank you Cory - great feature. So many beautiful choices for us in the 10-20 gallon range! Thk-U.
I was waiting for the corydoras! I started to think they weren't going to make the list!
This reminded me of a old school unboxing with cory. Great video. Jimmy's B roll is unbeatable, crazy good.

You should do a podcast during the Super Bowl for those of us who don’t care about football.
I second this!! Lol
amen lol
What if he watches the Super Bowl?
Don’t care about kneelers..
Great list
I'm in love with Danios and Corydoras ATM. Thanks Coopy.
Thanks for standing up for platies!
Keeps all the possibilities alive in my head with a list like that. Thanks.
Cool to know what's popular. A couple of them were a bit surprising, but all very cool fish!
Love your content and what you do for the hobby. Keep on keepin on!
Hey Cory, great content. Have a lovely day 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Even though neon's are the cheapest/easiest they will always be one of my favorites.

I wish I could keep them alive. Seems like the water in my area is too hard
Surprised at the list : ) Thank You : )

Jack Laporte ... what about 21 to 25??? LOL These are the top 20 and you ask for "top 26 - 50"
Thanks for the video! Never knew silvertip tetras were a thing!
Nice compilation! I wish your store was closer.
Cool. Some of these fish I have never seen in our local Aquarium stores.

So many fish to choose from Cory!
Great video lots of ideas for my next tank
I picked up java moss for my planted 10 gallon and the shrimp love it, thanks
Also, think it's worth mentioning... Amano and ghost shrimp do the same things at fraction of the price.
