Another movie I've been trying to remember for years - I had a feeling that its title ended with either "Likes Us" or "Like Us" (I actually thought it was "[Someone] Likes Us".) I found it today after searching for a number of things, like movie titles with the aforementioned endings and things like "Fakes a heart attack during an exam." I managed to find it by searching for movies where someone pretends to be a doctor. I remember seeing this when I was younger - I'm pretty sure I thought the breakdown at the end was genuine, like I thought the fact that he genuinely couldn't "take it" because his attempts to cheat (I'm sure I only noticed his message) weren't working or something. I got that it was fake in the next scene(?), as those who have seen the movie should remember the reason.
I love this movie though it didn't do well in its original release. It's got a thousand memorable lines. But the audio engineer should have been fired before the movie was released.
@@Dr.MSC.W.Krueger You only deserve to pass the test if you actually avoid getting caught. Creativity means nothing if they know what you're doing. If they figure it out later on that's another thing.
Before he retired, I had a ruñning gag with one of our firearms instructors. Every time I would see him at requalification, I would pull out my checkbook and pretend to write, "To: The John Doe Foundation." Just for fun.
God I saw an interview with John Belushi and John Landis in France 🇫🇷 1980 for Blues Brother's. The interviewer goes what films are you working on next. John Landis says I'm going to England 🇬🇧 in the winter to film An American Werewolf In London. Belushi goes me and Dan Aykroyd are working on a spy movie which became this movie. It shows how long a movie can be in development before it comes out. But Belushis death threw a spanner 🔧in the works !
Aw man...they left out the best part-where the duo get caught and then subsequently rewarded with top-secret government jobs; also anyone know who the photo belongs to - at the back of the classroom, when they are talking about the KGB; enquiring minds want to know?
I remember my college teacher giving us a surprise quiz...and after days of cutting classes I was NOT prepared for it. Easily came away with a F. That being said I got my act together and finished my college career with a 3.1 GPA and making the Dean's List with a 3.75 GPA during my final semester.
I'd not really done much studying or work during PreCalculus, and then realized I needed a pretty high grade to pass the class at all, so I spent 3 days or so in the college math lab to study for it, only to realize that I'd missed the exam time somehow. The instructor let me take it anyway, and so I sat outside his office in the hall and did it.. he checked my answers and then talked to me about the ones I'd missed, and when I asked him what I'd made, he said "You got the highest grade in the class", but I could tell he was wondering if I'd cheated somehow at first, until I showed him I could solve them on the fly. Awfully proud of that, even though it was my fault for being in the situation.
@VeilStig Not quite as over the top...but yes I did when I attended a 2 year community college. Once I transferred over to a 4 year college to finish my college education I developed a work ethic and focused more on preparation than to procrastinate and cheat my way through college.
My high school math teacher showed the entire class this gem everytime the class had a test.
I taught high school english for over 30 years. I tried to show this before exam time. Comedy gold.
The fart scene 😂...that was hilarious the way Chevy passed it off to the other guy😂
Another great movie from 1985
Chevy Chase is the master of cheating on tests
I wonder if that’s how he got through school?
I’ll never forget when Yoda gave a test to Clark Griswold and Ray Stantz
Wokka wokka!
I love how the instructor is like “Is this guy serious?!?!?”
Howyaduing that is frank oz. Voice of master Yoda since empire strikes back.

Judge him by his size, do you?
I SUPER SUPER LOVE HOW CHEVY CHASES FAKE ARM IS A DIFFERENT COLOR THAN HIS OTHER HAND.❤😂🎉
When I first saw this i laughed so hard my girl friend thought I was having a heart attack.
You get the sense that Dan Aykroyd probably knew what KGB stood for without looking it up before filming this scene.
Haha! Agreed.
He did play several intellectual characters in movies
I'm sure Chevy Chase didnt.

How does Dan Aykroyd look YOUNGER in this than Ghostbusters, despite this movie coming out in 1985, after Ghostbusters?
Hell, he looked older in the Blues Brothers despite being 6 years younger.
And then he looked older in Dragnet than in the Great Outdoors.
Didn't know that aykroyd was a south paw

No, John Landis is. The proctor played the CORRUPT cop in Trading Places (also directed by Landis).
The proctor is Yoda
Actually Frank Oz directed "What About Bob?"which just happens to be another great comedy.
