Also because at intervals of the tests they would change the gestures. For me and my friend group, I didn't really need to cheat. But the others needed my help. But, like my mom, we all specialized in different things. and we had very distinguishing characteristics and we used that to our advantage. Since I was clumsy, for all the options I would "accidentally" drop/knock over something different. If the answer was A, I would drop a pencil, if it was D, I would knock over my pencil holder, etc. And since I was normally clumsy, no one was suspicious of this. and the same goes for my friends. One of them was very prone to illness, and in class she would always wear a mask. so if the answer was A, she would lower her mask, if it was B, she would cough, etc. and The same goes for everybody. But now that everything is online, it is much easier. Our test is a one chance one with the review of the answers at the end. so first one of us would take the test, writing their answers as they go. when The test is done, he/she only needs to replace their answers on the paper they wrote their answers on with the correct one. photograph it, and send to our group chat. Then, not only we ensure a passing grade, but we will inevitably get some questions wrong.
That crazy! I have helped people cheat before one being most recent, I put up the number of fingers as the letter 1=A 2=B 3=C etc. I have also cheated before, I could read lips and some people read their questions and say it too so I used that to my advantage and understand what they said. It sounds pretty complicated but it's actually not just depends on how careful you are. I like to sit around people that always get caught cheating so if I make any noise the professor thinks its them and completely ignored me
There is an original movie from 2017 of this same story, really don't understand why did they bother doing a series. Hope there are some new tricks involved there.
Bank was the most wholesome character in the movie. Its terrible how private universities advertise "free" scholarships, but in the end they also try to profit off the students. In my previous school, we had to pay for every extracurricular activity out of our own pockets besides the ridiculously high fee.

Lemme tell you this for all scientific calculator users. In case you dont know, you can usually store a value of a number into a specific variable using STORE function (ex. A=12345). You can use this to indicate multiple choice questions assigning a number as a letter. 1 for a, 2 for b etc.. then pass your calculator to someone else for them to use. Dont ask me why I know ;)

This really makes a impact on me because my mom works such long hours to pay for me and my sisters private school because she wants the best education for us and this show really shows how far people go for a good education it made me a lot more grateful and humble for sure
Imo true intelligence in school is if you can cheat without getting caught, grades don’t symbolise intelligence, just symbolises performance stress management and management of your emotions
Beauty with brains... Super rare... Deadliest combination in this world... These kinds of girls can achieve whatever they want... However, I have not yet seen such species around me... Thank you for sharing this video...

People who give off the studious vibe usually only have slightly above-average intelligence. They have to be that hard-working to keep up those perfect grades, but real geniuses tend to be a bit lazy because everything academic comes easily to them. Also did their math teacher seriously warn them about cheating when he is the one providing test questions to the students paying him?
Genius doesn't really matter until they actually do something useful to the community/society. Their usefulness is measured by money, ie how much society is willing to pay them for their services. The biggest genius in the movie is the rich kid's Dad.
Being a genuius doesn't mean much when the genius isn't disciplined enough to put it to good use. Think about all those child geniuses we would occasionally see on TV when we were kids. A lot of them are now adults working normal jobs because they didn't have the motivation or discipline to actually live up to their full potential. There's nothing wrong with that of course, but it just goes to show genius, alone, isn't enough to leave a mark on history the way we imagine it would.
I had a similar experience at a quiz competition in high, my colleague will immediately answer the questions he thought were right without us discussing with each other, but the ones he doubts he'll ask me to say the answer. We lost the competition but he won the award for the highest questions answered correctly
I have seen the movie version. Spoiler: it ends cathartic but a bit sad. And it is very surprising how elaborate and high stakes the cheating became, involving international countries and taking advantage of the different time zones.
I just watched the movie, it's incredible. Apparently the series also showcases some interesting tactics but I hate how it's literally identical to the movie with some added details that just make it worse (Bank's mom addicted to lottery tickets, Lynn's dad in talks with loan sharks).
The clock idea is genius! And could be still used today if you could get a student on board who was both really good at the subject and will to cheat. I know in my Uni's lecture theatres, they have analog clocks. And then you just have a pre agreement for all students participating to purposely get different questions wrong so they're not getting the same questions wrong or right, but always monitoring the signals of the smart person
How you gonna raise your hand EVERY minute during an exam & NOT get the teacher’s attention?!?! Edit: To all the people replying to me with ideas… keep ‘Em coming cuz I’m taking notes! 😂

Your luck might be someone else's misfortune that's how competitive real life can be, that's why you gotta appreciate all the chances you get, because no matter what there's thousand ready to fight for that chance as well. If you are lucky enough to get education, please appreciate it, others would die to have such a chance.
This is way better than the other one. The other one was based on a real event but it had a horrible bad ending which made me very disappointed and sad. Well… cheating isn’t good and gets you nowhere at the end of the day so it makes sense that the benefits of cheating will not last too long.
getting away from cheating when i was in high school was a fun memory for me. they always say cheaters wont make a good future but i cheated knowing high school subjects wont matter anyway in college and work life. and it's true. i studied and cheated to get excellent scores. and in fact in uni i still can manage good grades without cheating bc i know what i learn in uni will matter later in life. i have excellent gpa @ uni and now working fine. so cheating in junior/high school don't really matter anyway. if you're dumb and you cheat you won't get as good score anyways. it takes a smart ones to cheat and actually get the correct answers, that's why don't rely on cheating only, study and then cheat for perfection!
what I learned in uni also didn't matter. 😂 studied environmental enginneering and I'm working as an accountant lol. I cheated in uni cause it was too difficult for me and didn't have friends who'd help me study, also had depression.

This is one of the reason of why IQ test just doesn't work. I can have an "IQ" of 120+ about a certain topic and then have NO idea on how to change a tire. Written test should never be used to define IQ because people are EXPERT on any area they desire to learn. Hence why we have professionals in every aspect of the world. IQ should be tested on different areas of every day life, and depending how you handle it and what you come up with to deal with the test then should define how astute you really are
That’s because you don’t know what an IQ test is or what the score represents. It is a flawed measure with too much importance in pop culture but not because of the reasons you wrote.

Dont ask me why I know ;)

as Cheater : I can say you need Luck, teamwork and timing than 200+ IQ where your IQ can be use as plan B if cheating does not work out in Examination HALL
Great intelligence can be handy in achieving excellent teamwork
People who give off the studious vibe usually only have slightly above-average intelligence. They have to be that hard-working to keep up those perfect grades, but real geniuses tend to be a bit lazy because everything academic comes easily to them.
Also did their math teacher seriously warn them about cheating when he is the one providing test questions to the students paying him?
and obviously you're one of those "lazy geniuses"? Lmao
@@HUGEPoWERFULMooN I'd rather be the studious type
Not really
Can i have a spoiler ?
