I personally was not a fan how State Rep. Quan Nguyen commented on if Blake as Director of the ATF supporting 2A values. He answered with a very uncertain tone and didn't appear he had absolute confidence in Blake Masters.
As I've mentioned on other TH-cam channels, Blake Masters is an extremely odd pick. He has only demonstrated a 2A stance only during an election or pick for ATF. If it became a vote among the 2A community, Brandon Herrera would win on a landslide. He understands the firearms language, technology and the problems we want to conquer.
It's one thing to stand on the floor and defend the 2 amendment, however, without the entire understanding of Firearms industry, technology and language, they will fail.
I've seen Blake Masters in videos, and he only has a very basic understanding .
Lastly, Masters made a statement on a podcast, saying, "We have a gun violence problem in this country." Many gun owners might argue that anyone using the term "gun violence" demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of the issue and is therefore unqualified.

As someone that has led a state regulatory law enforcement agency, I know the challenges of making changes in an organization. Just being pro second amendment is not enough. You have to have the skill set to deal with the internal and external politics. You also have to realize that the vast majority of ATFE employees are not fiduciary appointments and are protected by civil service laws. Most of these people have been around through several administrations and follow the old rule of "If You cooperate,You graduate". The know the appointee will be there for most 4 years and often less before they move back into politics, some Washington law firm or the private sector. The best way to cut staff is through de funding via Congress.

Right off the bat, let's understand the 2A. “The Second Amendment confers no positive right. It recognizes a pre-existing right. to infringe upon our right to keep and bear arms, besides the fact that no authority is granted to the federal government in its limited, enumerated powers to infringe upon them in the first place.” Referring to your rights by amendment number infers your rights come from a document. No-one has "2nd Amendment rights," or "1st Amendment rights." The 2A being an additional restriction on the Federal Government is not applicable to any State. States are independent sovereign "countries."
Even Chief Justice John Marshall in 1833 reaffirmed: “The constitution was ordained and established by the people of the United States for themselves, for their own government, and not for the government of the individual states. Each state established a constitution for itself, and in that constitution, provided such limitations and restrictions on the powers of its particular government, as its judgment dictated."
    th-cam.com/users/shortsKkG_JxNTFl0
    th-cam.com/video/OMf7JLPW2Fc/w-d-xo.html
As far as the ATF; the only thing the ATF is authorized to do under the constitution is disband. We know Donald Trump is a 2A violator; he proved that during Trump 1.0. Yes, even worse than Obama.
“I like taking the guns early, take the guns first and go through due process second” Donald Trump. “Trump’s Attorney General William Barr quietly legalized pre-crime in the United States under the guise of detecting potential mass shooters before they commit any crime. The program, called DEEP, enables the DOJ and FBI to work with “private sector partners” to surveil people of interest that have committed no crime, but are “mobilizing towards violence.”
“ During a public appearance in 2019, President Donald Trump proudly reminded us about his gun control credentials, bragging that his administration implemented new gun control and has conducted more (ATF) enforcement actions than anyone in history.” tenthamendmentcenter.com/2020/07/24/report-trump-ramps-up-enforcement-of-federal-gun-control-for-third-straight-year/
“He (Trump) called for comprehensive gun control legislation that would expand background checks to weapons purchased at gun shows and, on the internet, keep guns from mentally ill people (Red Flag laws), secure schools and restrict gun sales for some young adults. He even suggested a conversation on an assault weapons ban.” slate.com/news-and-politics/2018/03/donald-trumps-gun-control-meeting-was-a-nightmare-for-republicans.html
Blake Masters is a protege of Peter Thiel. Thiel is WEF, Bilderberg and the man behind J.D. Vance. Here's what you need to know about Thiel: unlimitedhangout.com/2024/07/investigative-reports/the-man-behind-trumps-vp-pick-its-worse-than-you-think/ Thiel's company Palantir is a CIA front and is the engine of the National Surveillance State. So if Trump picks Masters, it was likely at the behest of Thiel. Thiel has been referred to as Trump's "Shadow President."

We believe in Trump. BUT... he did not grow up in a gun-culture/perspective. Sadly, there are MILLIONS of SHEEPLE that share that position. And ALL HUMANS place highest priority on SAFETY. First/quickest/cheapest/"most obvious"( insert "gas-lighting"). So, 2A rights are a multi-front fight. LEGALLY/EMOTIONALLY/RATIONALLY. And emotion is most easily manipulated/out-performing the odds. I have lived in Tombstone and Sierra Vista and just outside of Wickenburg in the past . And in at least my own experience the wages in construction in Arizona were only a fraction of what they are in Nevada so that's why I'm living in Nevada for the fourth time and this time I've been here for 24 years. At the time which was several years ago of course I thought Arizona was reasonably gun friendly / Freedom friendly and of course the state is absolutely beautiful I love going through there but overall I didn't think there was enough to keep me and my family over there for very long . And if I'm seeing things correctly some of the commies in government are making the place even less attractive .

@@danieljosephdelta44semperfi AZ is much like NV as far as voters. Tucson is heavy Dem, PHX is marginally Dem. The Rural is very Rep. NV Vegas and Reno are marginally Dem with Rural very Rep. Reno is more of a swing city, and Clark County is the solid Dem advantage. Blake and Sam Brown are about the same other than one is very wealthy and the other a veteran with a war story. Perfect example is Dan Swartz the former Treasurer. Came from California with a bank account. Ran for everything and finally hit the right wave for the Treasurer.

Trump does nominate the director, however according to the plum book. Those under the director that handles day to day operations has to be individuals who alread work for the government. For a full breakdown on the plum book and it's affects on the hiring for the ATF the four boxes diner does a deep dive.

Another possibility I don't hear about as atf director is Daniel G. O’Kelly.

Blake Masters would be a horrible choice. The whistleblower guy who is in the run is the best pick. Herrera is a troll pick.

Masters is a RINO!!!! Just say no!!!!! Not saying Herrera. But maybe Trent Gaudy or Bongino. I do not trust Masters.

Trey Gowdy, seriously? He was part of the problem in Trump's first two years before he quit. He is a Rino neocon through and through.

I'm not a big fan of Masters. He is a money guy, who comes along and tries to buy a political office. He failed miserably in the Senate race. He is one of these guys that show up with no experience in politics, have a bankroll, and hope to catch the election cycle wave. As far a being pro 2A I would guess he is however he doesn't have a record, orher than campaign promises. I honestly don't know what Trump wants as far as 2A and the future of ATF, and the NFA.

God gave man free dominion ( freedom) over the earth he created. Genesis 1:26 kjv.
What did god give a corporation offering government services?
    Nothing.

Everyone thinking Trumpy is so great, he’s doing the same ole same. Picking political donors for posts. I’d rather one of you regular chuckleheads being picked than rich political donates dolts.

Hopefully, we could have a rich, super pro-2A person that couldn't be bought and had no incentive toward corruption. Regular people can be bought, threatened, and coerced.

Ok you are pro second amendment but are you pro Militia? Without a well-regulated Militia the gun issue doesn't really matter it is just an amendment to article 1 section8 of the constitution.

Blake kicked the snot out of Kelly (done nothing) & Victor ( top gun lawyer in AZ?) in the Senate race debate.
