After another well known TH-camr took a step back recently to make sure he could give his family well deserved dedicated time I want to thank you for how much of yourself and your time you give to us. Your editing and videos are amazing; hopefully you’re not feeling the content crush and if you are- make sure you’re taking time for yourself and your mental health. That being said, having the GB notification go off is the best part of my day! Thank you again for your hard work.
Some ppl will roll their eyes at this comment, but Greg’s positivity and determination before his kayak even launched, were imperative to his good day on a lake he historically struggled on. Having a positive mindset before gettin on the water is such an undervalued tool that all of us anglers possess. We have the option to deploy it everyday, but most of the time we don’t, or we allow a bit of turbulence to negatively alter our attitudes. Stay confident and anticipate the next cast is the one to start a flurry of catches! Tight lines to all y’all!
I love that you show the good days and the tough days. You do the grind, pay your dues, and we get to see you trying to figure it out. It makes me think about what I would try in a given situation, which is part of the fun. Thank you for not being click bait. Solid content!
Heck yeah Greg, I was pulling for you man. Three trips like you had here recently can leave you feeling pretty crappy. I knew you would get on them though. So crazy how humbling fishing can be man!! good work!
The Casey Neistat of the bass fishing world. Been binging your videos lately Greg, and now, I'm about to buy a Kayak. Hope to see you out on the water one day. I appreciate you and the time you put into this channel, it's epic.
Greg you are such a savage. You drive hours to fish and share your journeys with all of us. And your content is seem less. I appreciate you brother and thank you for all the effort you put into including us on your fishing quests. Lol. Thanks to you and all the dark horse crew. Cheers
Thanks brotha!I've got some interesting footage from my earlier years that may explain this passion (or obsession?) with fishing but I'm incredibly honoured to have this audience tuning into my days on the water.
Okay so I feel like the Ned jig might have something to do with it, I tried it for the first time this weekend and I caught over a limit at a lake that I've never caught more than two fish a day at. 7 keepers and 2 dinks. They would not bite anything else. I just happened to remember you trying the ned jig a week or 2 ago and I figured I'd give it a shot, I already had a keitech jig tied on so I swapped the trailer for a trd and 2nd cast I was hooked up. Thx for that lol.
One hell of a day!🤘🍻 Way to see you found..... yourself. The bite has been tough everywhere but it is nice to see you shake it off and find the confidence..... lake looked real low but a beautiful day on the water. No better way to spend a day! 👍🤘🍻🍻
Congrats Greg. I have felt your pain. The fish do not want to play lately. I don't know if it is because of weather or what. We have had a rollercoaster of a weather pattern. You have given me hope today. You are right,' never give up, never surrender. Awesome job.
Watching videos like yours at the end of the day is a good stress reliever. We love that lake Comanche ! Havent fished there since the start of the new free year. We like going to lake hogan too! Maybe you're next video? Lol
Thank you Greg, I love the fact you keep it real and helps guys like me also going through a slump more hopeful (and knowing it hits really good fisherman like you also), appreciate the videos as always!
Been skunked three times in three weeks at my preferred local reservoir. Yeah, getting back into the fish again (especially quality fish) after a drought . . . great feeling!
And Comanche is 45 min from me. I fear that place lol. Now I have a reason to hope I get 1. Underwater points, duly noted. Great energy once again Greg.
Greggggg, Im so glad you killed it out on Camanche. Seeing you in disbelief and just shocked catching as many fish as you did was so wholesome and super entertaining!! Thanks for providing some of the best fishing content in these tough times! :)
Greg, great to see why you're a true champ! I saw how those 3 trips got to you. I knew you'd be right back out there. Good for you bro, especially this time of year. 🙏 🎣 🤘
Always better fishing when it's a new moon 🌚! Great video as always! Trying a new spot on my kayak this Thursday/Friday hopefully it's a good one. Tight lines!🤙
Thank you for showing your thought process (mobile navionics app-wise) as you go looking for particular features. Every one else just shows the day’s greatest hits. As always, love the channel, keep up the good work!
As the crazy pro says, "NEVER GIVE UP!" I knew it was just a matter of time. But I will say, you had some good company on some of those bad trips. Friends make it easier to accept those bad days. Best of luck, keep up the great work.
Your past couple skunk vids inspired me to get out despite the weather. Caught my PB for the year yesterday before this cold front here in AR moved in. Luckily I remembered a scale and pulled a 3 lb. 15 oz. Largie out of my favorite creek.
Maybe try some different species like trolling for trouts at lake amador or go for some crappies during the slower month for bass. I would love to see that!
I like to busted a gut when you caught that first fish and the way you looked at the camera and said” I am speechless right now “ 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Glad you got into them. Yep.
Im glad the slump finally broke! I had an awesome December but January absolutely killed me! Im headed to the water now, so maybe Febuary will be better!
Great video. I love that you show the rough days and the great days. January was a rough month for me. I think I pulled four fish the whole month. Thanks for the video.
I usually don't fish January in South Carolina. I'm glad I did. Almost 95% bank fishing. I caught 110 bass. I landed 2 bass with weights of 7.3 pounds! I have a bad back, so I do not fish long (70 years old). My go to baits were Owner bladed jig heads, Strike King 2-Tap Lipless (Rayburn Red) 1/2 oz., and a few on weightless white fluke. Enjoy your content and have been a long follower of yours. Everyone has those bad streaks. My good luck streak was just very sustained.
Thank ya sir! Never miss a video so as a viewer, there's a connection to the struggles you've had recently. As soon as I read redemption and you crushed the first cast, I felt so relived lol... And being that it was literally right up road from me was even cooler. You're getting that 10 pounder soon! Feel it!
It's been a tough winter. But, I'd rather go through a tough winter with you, than a good summer with somebody else. Your videos are quality, and so are you. Tight lines 🎣 Greg, hope to run into you one day here in the Bay
Way to overcome the curse! As anglers we all seem to get in a rut from time to time, you stayed head strong and over came it! Looking forward to seeing some upcoming tournament footage!
So glad the day turned out well for you. The last Comanche tournament we had was a major rain storm, yet it was warm and windless. Thank goodness for Gore-tex! Our next tournament is on Clear Lake - I'd like to try that Ned Jig to see how it does. Keep up the good work and 💖 those drone shots 😊
Folsom has had my number the last few times so I know the feeling. Glad to see you had a great day out at Camanche, that lake hasn’t treated me the best in the past also. See you at Folsom here in a few weeks, Kyle
'Nother Great Video, Greg... Keep on Grindin' it OUT...! Watching you through the years, makes me truly believe it's called Fishing, opposed to just Catching. (Wish I had your enthusiasm, some times!) Haha!
Great content as always. Keep ‘em coming. Can’t wait for the next notification bell to drop. You have encouraged me to share my fishing knowledge thru TH-cam as well. Thanks for all your time and dedication to your channel
Awesome video Greg! Glad you were able to get some quality fish on the jig. Speaking of, I also like those Keitech tungsten jigs and have had mine break in the same place. I just use the broken one for practice casting now lol.
Glad you had a nice day out there. they should be on main lake, drop offs/ledges and bluffs rite now but fish are never guaranteed rite. God Bless and Thanks Greg we appreciate the vids
I feel this...im on almost a year since i caught my last bass..even though ive been ina. Slump im still going. I have alot to learn and recently started studying and taking notes of everything! It has hwlped so much. Never knew how complex bass fishing can get and the amount of info
Brother Greg! Had to revisit this video to let u know that this the "GREG JIG" as I have deemed it works here in Tennessee just as well. The lake I fish is at very low levels right now and my fish have been 10-15ft deep. I went to 3/16 oz bitsy bug jig with half of a zman Ned worm on it and it's like candy to em! Tight lines brother and God bless you!
Things been tough all over. Weird weather I believe. I'm in FL fishing the Challenge Series, Jan. was my forth month and finally scored some points (I think). Had a six fish day couple weeks ago. Definatly lifts one's spirits. Tightlines! Ron aka "Skunkproof"
Man I love that you fish all the waters I fish. Folsom was tough! This time a year, Carolina rigs and shaky heads! Camanche, I’ve always had success. Try Amador for nice largemouth and pardee for smallies! Don’t be shy and head up north to Bullards bar for world record spots!

Absolutely
Yes man, Well said. His work is greatly appreciated
@@BradHouston95 I think he is talking about Flukemaster
Well said Mike-100%
Good man! And we should be more thankful and appreciate the work these people put in

That look backward to the camera after the first fish... comic genius... I actually laughed out loud!
5+ bass in the winter is def a win bro glad you broke the bad fish January curse we all go through it. Great vid my dude
The reason your videos are the best is because you say where you are fishing and you show it as it is, not just the good days.
An 1 - 1\2 Drive, First Cast, Game On !!!! Gregs got the Ol Mojo back 😂😎👍
I love that you show the good days and the tough days. You do the grind, pay your dues, and we get to see you trying to figure it out. It makes me think about what I would try in a given situation, which is part of the fun. Thank you for not being click bait. Solid content!
I agree, love you show good and bad.
thank you sir! I think that overall grind we all experience as fisherman is what makes those catches so much more special.
Heck yeah Greg, I was pulling for you man. Three trips like you had here recently can leave you feeling pretty crappy. I knew you would get on them though. So crazy how humbling fishing can be man!! good work!
Yessir! Man, that feeling is real. Fishing confidence just dips so much but once you have that "day" all is well in the world again.
The Casey Neistat of the bass fishing world. Been binging your videos lately Greg, and now, I'm about to buy a Kayak. Hope to see you out on the water one day. I appreciate you and the time you put into this channel, it's epic.
Days like this is what makes it all worth it! As always awesome video Greg👍

Laughed out loud over my lunch at 4:03 when Greg looked incredulously at the rear camera. Great comedic moment. Sweet vid!
Ever since 1Rod showed you as a favorite fishing youtuber to watch, i've watched every video and what a video man! congrats on a solid day.
Love your uploads! If I'm not watching at home, I'm watching in my mans tackle shop! Keep it up sir👍
Yessirrrrrr!!!!!!!!!! Love your vids and your personality man. Keep it up:) will be here through the good and bad. This one felt real good to watch

Glad you got on em today my guy. That's what we do it for.
Congrats Greg. I have felt your pain. The fish do not want to play lately. I don't know if it is because of weather or what. We have had a rollercoaster of a weather pattern. You have given me hope today. You are right,' never give up, never surrender. Awesome job.
Super excited for your buddy!!! I kept watching even tho no bites. Keep on keepin on.
I almost purchased some stock in In and out burger 🙂 Always a pleasure to watch your vids. Keep them coming!!!
Thank you you for the thought process.
Thanks for videos. Gives us northerners something to do while waiting for open water. Have a great week!
Watching videos like yours at the end of the day is a good stress reliever. We love that lake Comanche ! Havent fished there since the start of the new free year. We like going to lake hogan too! Maybe you're next video? Lol
That smile at the end says it all. Good onya.
Awesome Vid GB! What a Blessed Day to go out on the water 💧 🙏 and killed it!!! 🎣 🐟 🐠
I thinks it’s safe to say we all been rooting for u bro!!!
Glad to see you got bit. Could here in your voice the relief and joy with a good day. Thanks Greg.
Thank you Greg, I love the fact you keep it real and helps guys like me also going through a slump more hopeful (and knowing it hits really good fisherman like you also), appreciate the videos as always!

The overlays in this video were on point. Screen record and the facetime footage upped the experience. Too cool.
Greggggg, Im so glad you killed it out on Camanche. Seeing you in disbelief and just shocked catching as many fish as you did was so wholesome and super entertaining!! Thanks for providing some of the best fishing content in these tough times! :)
The good old dragonfly bait. Nice catches, should have weighed all of them. Thanks for the video Greg.
I love you bay area guys. You, Matts (Fishermans Life) and Taku (Outdoor Chef Life) are my favorite fishermen on youtube!
I can’t get over the size of those spots! What a day
I'm super glad you broke that streak buddy. Way to power through.
It's nice to see someone finally catching something. It has been a tough winter.
Good day of fishing beats a bad day at work, however; any day of fishing beats any day at work. Great video!
Thank you for showing your thought process (mobile navionics app-wise) as you go looking for particular features. Every one else just shows the day’s greatest hits. As always, love the channel, keep up the good work!
So happy you had a good day Greg...we've all gone through those dry spells...you earned this bro!
Always with them bangers. Keeping WI folks like me hopeful and entertained! Thanks GB!
Seeing you pull them in always puts a smile on my face.
As the crazy pro says, "NEVER GIVE UP!" I knew it was just a matter of time. But I will say, you had some good company on some of those bad trips. Friends make it easier to accept those bad days. Best of luck, keep up the great work.
Last 3 trips 1 fish for me you showed me there is still hope. Thanks for sharing Greg, always looking forward to your vidoes.
I can relate Greg. I have been in a slump for a while. Great to remember, success lies in one more cast.
Good job Greg. Gotta add the “Ned jig” to my arsenal. Haven’t been to Camanche for years.
Redeeming yourself at Lake Chamanche of all places! Awesome Greg.
Seems like Everytime Greg talks to Mike on the phone he gets a good bite that's awesome take care Greg fire video and tight lines
Can definitely see the relief on your face Greg! Great day out there, those were some solid spots!
1 of the best fishing channels 👌 out there!!
I've broken a lot of those Kitech hooks even on light line. Love them but def gotta keep an eye on the hooks
Great job! I’m glad you found them and got out of the slump.
Greg,
You are 100% Resilient! I honestly would have given up! Ha! Way to go!
Wow a vid that actually makes me want to get out on my boat and fish. Thanks Greg.
Great video. I love that you show the rough days and the great days. January was a rough month for me. I think I pulled four fish the whole month. Thanks for the video.

Hi Greg - awesome video, beautiful lake, enjoyed watching, regards Danny ~
My last trip was New Year’s Day. Killed it!!! The next trip out I had to abort without a cast for ice!!! I needed this video!!!! 👍🏻
Thank ya sir! Never miss a video so as a viewer, there's a connection to the struggles you've had recently. As soon as I read redemption and you crushed the first cast, I felt so relived lol... And being that it was literally right up road from me was even cooler. You're getting that 10 pounder soon! Feel it!
Best feeling! Gotta keep grinding!
Beautiful NorCal day!
Hey Greg, I went to Camanche today, Friday, February 4th. AM surface temp 48°. Not a bite. Now I have Berryessa and Camanche back to back skunk!
It's been a tough winter. But, I'd rather go through a tough winter with you, than a good summer with somebody else. Your videos are quality, and so are you. Tight lines 🎣 Greg, hope to run into you one day here in the Bay
Hell yea sir! Winter is always rough. Love that jig too
Way to overcome the curse! As anglers we all seem to get in a rut from time to time, you stayed head strong and over came it! Looking forward to seeing some upcoming tournament footage!
My favorite knot for flouro. Every damn. Ned jig breaks, I should just put a new one on every time I get even slightly stuck, but I don’t.
Nothing better than a happy GB!
You crushed it!
Redemption feels so good!
Awesome vid Greg. Been following for years. That has to be the best day ever on that lake. Great job. Way to hammer em.
Well worth the drive! Glad to see you catching pigs again. Congrats and thanks for the video.
Folsom has had my number the last few times so I know the feeling. Glad to see you had a great day out at Camanche, that lake hasn’t treated me the best in the past also. See you at Folsom here in a few weeks, Kyle
My buddy is 0-12 at Folsom since Dec. lol
Right place at the right time....good job on the video Greg
Really appreciate how you show the way you use your graphs and that navigating app. Thanks!
'Nother Great Video, Greg... Keep on Grindin' it OUT...!

Glad you had a nice day out there. they should be on main lake, drop offs/ledges and bluffs rite now but fish are never guaranteed rite. God Bless and Thanks Greg we appreciate the vids
Longest I have ever gone without a hit is 3 weeks. Was using a large swim bait to learn it.
Congratulations Greg you deserve it after those past few trips.🙂
Nice day on the water Greg! Been following you for about a year now and enjoy your videos bud! Keep it up broseph 🍻
