Those clavandistas are nuts man..I hope you gave him some money..lol. If you are coming from USA or Canada remember to bring your gear because it is very expensive in Mazatlan and only couple mom and pops stores sell tackle. Walmart/Sams, Soriana, or Ley do not even have line or hooks...chihuil (catfish), coconaco or pargo ( mexican barred snapper), and a Toro (Pacific Jack Crevalle) Good job, Great video thanks for sharing....
Thanks for the comment and translation on the fish! And definitely agreed I was very glad I brought my own gear👍. Thanks for watching! And for sure we gave the divers a great tip 😉
Yeah man just using braided line to a 1 foot steel leader and had and egg white before that leader. Use in like a 1/0 or 2/0 hook with shrimp that I had gotten from the hotel that I kept in the freezer in my room overnight so that they would not fall off very easily. You can go to Bass Pro Shop or Walmart or any tackle store and you should be able to find those steel saltwater leader rigs with weights and Beads basically ready to hook your line up to.
@@FlyFishingTexan will do! Thanks for the tips. We'll be out by stone island and estrella del mar. It's a bit cleaner near a river mouth, and rocky at certain depths. Check that area out if you ever go back. Hotel Las gaviotas inside estrella del mar resort is perfect to be on the shore.
@@j.pacifico757 For sure man! I will definitely be going back. It is a favorite Vacation spot of my wife's family. I will check into that location as well.
@@j.pacifico757 Where else have you had luck in mazatlan? Headed down with my son and looking for good surf fishing -- anywhere that's calm? Where is the estrella del mar?
Buen video 👍🏻
thanks for watching
Nice vid. Tight lines 😎
Thanks!! Really enjoyed making this one
