You are a life saver dude! I picked up a 880-61 like four years ago, finally going to tear into it now I’ve see you work on yours One question, my selector handle is hitting the arm spring, I can’t quite figure out why that is, any thoughts on that?
I'm not sure why your handle would hit the spring. maybe it's bent? send me a message on Facebook messenger with a few pictures and I'll see if I can help ya get it figured out!
I used your videos to get started refurbishing my Bishman. There are a couple of items to add to this video. There is an oiler in the top of the air cylinder. Oil should be added periodically to keep the piston ring lubed. The split felt pad on top of the piston is supposed to absorb the oil you put in through the top and distribute it on the cylinder wall during use. Soaking that felt pad in turpentine and scraping it with your finger nail would break up that rust and clean the felt. Then you take an air gun and blow out the turpentine from the felt. Generally speaking, honing a cylinder for an o-ring is not advised as it creates a lot of scratches harder on the o-ring than a rust spot. It would be better to abrasive pad the area to make it as smooth as possible. In my case, I turned the cylinder upside down so the rust spot is above the piston o-ring travel.
I added a foot petal direct to the air cylinder line. Sets on the floor the original had a air blower screwed on the handle but the hose was a pain in the ass.
unfortunately I don't. I'd try watching ebay and you might find one. Bishman was bought out a few times and then phased out essentially. wish I could be more help
Mark if you haven’t found it yet do a Google search for “Bishman tire changer manual” first result is a nice parts list with an exploded view diagram for an 888 machine. It’s not the full manual but maybe it’ll help you!
