Yeah every time I ride it I leave myself so much room. The ride ops don’t usually push it down they just pull it up to see if it’s locked, so I can leave myself so much room.
I did not get stapled on Iron Gwazi and I actually was worried it was too loose. I got scared while going up the lift hill and pushed it down further 😅. That said, I'm glad I did because Iron Gwazi is the scariest coaster I've ever ridden - mainly because the restraints don't have any handles or anything to hold on to, and I ended up squeezing the hell out of the hand of the stranger sitting next to me 😜.

I stapled myself on Gwazi and I'm so glad I did. Dear Lord that was easily the most intense coaster I've ever been on and some of the elements would have THROWN ME (at least felt like it lol) off. What a ride.
Hot take 1: Nemesis Inferno is currently the best rollercoaster at Thorpe Park. Saw: The Ride is scarier, has better airtime and I think I prefer it, but Nemesis Inferno is so much smoother. While Saw's my favourite, it is the ride which made my father not like rollercoasters, and he hasn't been on another one since (except the alpine coaster and the Mack power coaster at SteinWasen Park, and Space Runner at SteinWasen Park). The roughness is the reason. This rules it out of being the best ride there. Stealth is super short. The Swarm isn't completely forceless, but it's still not got much force. It's somewhat boring. The headchoppers don't do anything for me (although I haven't tried putting my hands up). And Colossus is unbearably rough. I haven't tried it in the front, so I don't know if it's better there, but Inferno's great in any row. Of course, when Project Exodus opens up, it will easily take the top spot, even if Merlin insists on over-the-shoulder restraints. Hot take 2: Blue Fire Megacoaster is better than Wodan: Timburcoaster. Blue Fire has much more comfortable seats, and Wodan wasn't too bad, but it wasn't as comfortable. Blue Fire has more sustained forces. Wodan is just quick pops of force all the time. It is a top-tier woodie, and I know this even though the only other one I've ridden is Wickerman, but I prefer Blue Fire. And the Mosasaurs roll at the end was really scary. It felt almost as if I was going to fall out, and that feeling would have been even stronger if I hadn't stapled myself. The wave turn at the start has some good lateral hangtime. The ride has some good airtime moments, and the vertical loop had decent positives. I also preferred it over Silver Star, although I was very impressed with Silver Star's airtime and it probably would be even better if I hadn't ridden it first thing in the morning.
Rmc and Intamin bring high quality products but unreliable ones. Although it seems like intamin learned their lesson with Pnntheon, Toutatis, Batman, and Velocicoaster, and rmc now adds additional supports in Iron gwazi and wildcats revenge, unlike with Steel Vengeance.

The only parts of mine blower that are even good are the first drop and corkscrew, but velocicoaster's top hat and mosasaurs roll are both way better already 🤷 they are absolutely crazy for putting spine blower above velocipeak
My three "hot" (ish) takes as a Floridian: 1.) I like Montu over Kumba; the ride felt smoother, I loved the force it provided, and I loved how it used the trenches. 2.) White Lightning is an underrated coaster; it's nothing big but it's fast-paced, packs a punch, and delivers some good airtime (especially with a loaded train). 3.) As of right now, I like VelociCoaster over Iron Gwazi; they're super close to me, and there's some parts I like more on Iron Gwazi (i.e. the first drop over VelociCoaster's tophat), but I feel like VelociCoaster has better variety and each element delivers a bit more of a punch rather than just having a bunch of little moments of airtime. Again, none of these are discounting any of the coasters they're compared to, there's hardly a coaster I dislike and won't reride over and over, but that's just my three most interesting takes right now I guess.

As the person who made that Velocicoaster take I want to clear some things up. Firstly, I'm not sure why I wrote the replay like that. I actually rank Velocicoaster as the 5th best coaster in Florida. Secondly, the coasters I put over Velocicoaster are Iron Gwazi, Mako, Incredible Hulk, and Rip Ride Rocket. I personally didn't care for Velocicoaster. I'm really not sure why I didn't but I personally didn't enjoy it as much as others have. I also really enjoy the other three coasters mentioned. I had multiple consistent rides on all of them where each time when I got off, I wanted to get right back in line. I can't say the same about Velocicoaster to be completely honest. With that being said, I'm sorry for writing the comment in such a way that it reads as though I rank VC as the 6th best coaster, if not lower, in FL where I actually rank it as the 5th. Also on a somewhat unrelated note I don't particularly care for Kumba, Kraken, and Montu.

The first take is objectively true. Intamin and RMC might deliver “good” rides, but technically RMC and Intamin rides are often times technically and structurally flawed. There’s a reason Cedar Fair doesn’t work with either manufacturer any more.
I got some hot takes: - I’ve ridden 5 RMCs (Steel Vengeance, Twisted Colossus, Twisted Timbers, Goliath, and Lightning Rod), and Lightning Rod is the best out of those - Rougarou is one of the best floorless coasters out there - Hulk is MUCH better than Kumba - Thunderhead is the best GCI (yes, over Mystic Timbers) - Viper is one of the best coasters at SFMM
1 is kinda true for me. LR and SV always fight for my top spot. 2 ehh Rougarou felt okay for me. Haven’t been on many floorless coasters except Dominator. 3 yeah I agree. 4 no 5 I can’t say anything about it since I haven’t rode it but when seeing the other coasters it may be hard to be one of the best coasters at SFMM.
about otsr being better than lap bars. I really don't mind either. Sure lap bars are more open, but I kinda like the caged in and (I know this sounds really gp but trust me) safe feeling on otsr. I know they're both safe, don't get me wrong. But I'm like the opposite of claustrophobis, I love being in like small spaces and stuff. Unless you can't move of course. And headbanging isn't the fault of the restraints, it's the fault of the coaster. The only restraints I truly hate are those godawful backcrushing things on the Zamperla Disco's that make it hard to breathe. After I've ridden one of those, I want to beat the hell out of the guy who designed them. But I do like lap bars pretty much evenly over all. Though as you said it depends. For hypers lap bars are better, and for inverts otsr are better.
Gerstlauer restraints on Iron Rattler and New Texas Giant are far more comfortable than the RMC trains. And the RMC Raptor restraints turn a great ride into truly awful and painful experience.
If you need 4 points of contact, where are the four points on Copperhead Strike? Or Velocicoaster? I can see that something like a Mindbender or Sooperdooperlooper is grandfathered in, but those two rides are less than 5 years old.

Iron Gwazi is absolutely better than Steel Vengeance and VelociCoaster imo. Not even close, especially when Iron Gwazi is warmed up. It does take a while to warm up.

I could just imagine the colonizers going, right let's make amazing rollercoasters here, so later people can experience some of the best rides, and explore some of these colonies. Forget about mine blower, velocicoaster, Iron Gwazi and the other coasters in Florida, coastersauras is where everyone is at, and the peppa pig roller coaster.
Here's my hot take -- Iron Rattler is *by far* the worst of the three RMCs in TX (I'm actually not sure I'd even put it as a top 3 coaster in its park). It's short, hits the brakes just as it's getting going, and has bad pacing with the bit on the quarry wall. Its best individual elements are amazing, but they don't come together to make a great coaster.
RMC’s shin guards are awful, I lapped twisted colossus about 20 times in a row with no line, and afterwards my shins hurt so bad and it rubbed it raw(I was wearing pants too)
since I’ve been on a lotta Florida coasters, these are my favorites. 1. Velocicoaster. 2. Iron quasi(IDK HOW TO SPELL THAT OKAY) 3.mako. last too are me and my family’s opinion. 4. Guardians. 5. hagrids.
Not sure why you skipped past the “Tatsu > WWFOC” one when it was probably one of the most reasonable opinions. Tatsu is an absolutely insane and unique flying coaster with an amazing setting and a great pretzel loop. WWFOC is a good raptor but it’s not that unique, it’s so short, and the restraints are terrible.
I flew over from Europe and visited SFMM three times in one week and Tatsu ist by far the most memorable coaster for me. We have better RMCs in Europe than Twisted Collossos, we have similar GCIs than Apocalypse, better B&M inverts than Batman the Ride etc.. we might even get a better or similar raptor soon. But we do not and will never have a flying coaster that compares to Tatsu. So, yeah, this bothers me, too :-D. WAY better than WWFOC.
Tatsu, like,….is better imo. It has a great mountainside setting with a cool ride experience and arguably the most intense inversion in the US. Wonder Woman FOC us fine but not better than Tatsu
Yeah I’d take Tatsu over WWFOC any day. Tatsu is an insanely unique flying coaster, WWFOC is good but it has way more flaws. The restraints are awful and it’s so short. Tatsu’s pretzel loop and mountain setting make it elite for me
I’ve ridden both velocicoaster and gwazi and I gotta say iron gwazi is better but only by a little I think what sets it over the edge for me is that how fast I soars through the track without needing a launch or anything
Riding both back to back I was disappointed with qwazi maybe because I overhyped it my self but while it was a great coaster, I just think velocicoaster was the better ride especially with how the ride length felt perfect where qwazi I felt it was cut short

Not definitely hot take but not a common either : Vekoma STC will never be a B&M Invert, and it's perfectly okay considering the spec itself capable to do thing that B&M Invert never will (Swing train, lap bar, Blitz-focused layout, smaller and narrower train)
I loathe an Rmc lap bar. I’m like mediumish sized as a dude and I feel like a popped can of biscuits when I ride rmc’s. It also bangs up my junk more than a TOGO stand up.
This isn’t a hot take. It’s just correct! Steel Vengeance might have more but Lightning Rod is much more aggressive with better speed and pacing. The terrain use is insane as well. Lightning Rod would be my number 1 if VelociCoaster didn’t exist.

Objectively false on the SV hills being stronger than TT. TT hits down to -1.7g, which is among the strongest out there. SV maxes out around -1.4 to -1.5. The outerbank and top hat may hit -1g if running fast, but are generally right at -.9g. Way more sustained, but not as strong. most big ejector moments are right around -1g. Sub -1g is mostly reserved for quick pops. That being said, SV is the better ride IMO. TT is great and IMO better that LRod, El Toro, and others, but not on SV's level (nothing is). My Hot Take: Diamondback is a top 5 coaster. On the same level as Fury. I have SV and i305 over it, but I can't say for sure if I have anything else over it - I go back and forth on it, Fury, TT and Maverick for #3. Elite sustained strong airtime (B&Ms strongest airtime - along with a couple others). It's big hills are only .2g off from SVs big hills. The second half still hits harder than some B&M hypers, but mostly on par. 3 big bunnies offering the longest sustained airtime (all longer than Mako) at the strongest force on this model (-.7g) is a recipe for eliteness.
Hot take: RMC is severely overrated and everyone just kinda ignores how terrible their rides age, Wonder women fiesta Texas, Outlaw run, Silver Dollar City
Whahahhaha, the last one😂😂😂😂 must be a small person that had that take, cause if you are somewhat tall, RMC shin guards will destroy your shins, even when you are used to them they still hurt every ride, but Untamed is worth it, so I keep coming back, but after 10 back to back rides, I just can't continue because of the shin guards, my shins will hurt so much that I will have to get off, when I rode wildfire, it wasn't as bad, but that ride does not slam you back into the shin guards like Untamed does
I really enjoy Volcicoaster but good god it’s overrated to death. I generally do not understand how someone could put Iron Gwazi and Volcicoaster in the same category. Iron Gwazi and even Mako destroy and I do prefer Montu over it as well. It’s just not as intense as I thought it would be and I just prefer more intense ride experiences. The theming is great but I can’t make up for the lack of intensity. Saying Kumba is better is a stretch but I slightly actually do prefer Hulk.

Iron Gwazi doesn't have RMC trains; the first two RMC conversions had trains made by Gerstlauer.

Imo Velocicoaster is tops in Florida. Gwazi is super good but Velocicoaster has everything
Gerstlauer restraints on Iron Rattler and New Texas Giant are far more comfortable than the RMC trains. And the RMC Raptor restraints turn a great ride into truly awful and painful experience.

If you need 4 points of contact, where are the four points on Copperhead Strike? Or Velocicoaster? I can see that something like a Mindbender or Sooperdooperlooper is grandfathered in, but those two rides are less than 5 years old.

Iron Gwazi is absolutely better than Steel Vengeance and VelociCoaster imo. Not even close, especially when Iron Gwazi is warmed up. It does take a while to warm up.

Here's my hot take -- Iron Rattler is *by far* the worst of the three RMCs in TX (I'm actually not sure I'd even put it as a top 3 coaster in its park). It's short, hits the brakes just as it's getting going, and has bad pacing with the bit on the quarry wall. Its best individual elements are amazing, but they don't come together to make a great coaster.
RMC’s shin guards are awful, I lapped twisted colossus about 20 times in a row with no line, and afterwards my shins hurt so bad and it rubbed it raw(I was wearing pants too)

Not sure why you skipped past the “Tatsu > WWFOC” one when it was probably one of the most reasonable opinions. Tatsu is an absolutely insane and unique flying coaster with an amazing setting and a great pretzel loop. WWFOC is a good raptor but it’s not that unique, it’s so short, and the restraints are terrible.
I flew over from Europe and visited SFMM three times in one week and Tatsu ist by far the most memorable coaster for me. We have better RMCs in Europe than Twisted Collossos, we have similar GCIs than Apocalypse, better B&M inverts than Batman the Ride etc.. we might even get a better or similar raptor soon. But we do not and will never have a flying coaster that compares to Tatsu. So, yeah, this bothers me, too :-D. WAY better than WWFOC.

Tatsu, like,….is better imo. It has a great mountainside setting with a cool ride experience and arguably the most intense inversion in the US. Wonder Woman FOC us fine but not better than Tatsu

Yeah I’d take Tatsu over WWFOC any day. Tatsu is an insanely unique flying coaster, WWFOC is good but it has way more flaws. The restraints are awful and it’s so short. Tatsu’s pretzel loop and mountain setting make it elite for me
I’ve ridden both velocicoaster and gwazi and I gotta say iron gwazi is better but only by a little I think what sets it over the edge for me is that how fast I soars through the track without needing a launch or anything

Riding both back to back I was disappointed with qwazi maybe because I overhyped it my self but while it was a great coaster, I just think velocicoaster was the better ride especially with how the ride length felt perfect where qwazi I felt it was cut short

@@Itsjustcam365 don’t get me wrong I liked it but it wasn’t like woah it’s over fast because we’re going fast more like wow that’s it. felt like the ride had a lot more in it but goes into the breaks with a lot of extra speed that I think a little extension to the length of the ride could better kill some more of it before it hits the breaks. World class ride but just not long enough for me.

I loathe an Rmc lap bar. I’m like mediumish sized as a dude and I feel like a popped can of biscuits when I ride rmc’s. It also bangs up my junk more than a TOGO stand up.

This isn’t a hot take. It’s just correct! Steel Vengeance might have more but Lightning Rod is much more aggressive with better speed and pacing. The terrain use is insane as well. Lightning Rod would be my number 1 if VelociCoaster didn’t exist.

Objectively false on the SV hills being stronger than TT. TT hits down to -1.7g, which is among the strongest out there. SV maxes out around -1.4 to -1.5. The outerbank and top hat may hit -1g if running fast, but are generally right at -.9g. Way more sustained, but not as strong. most big ejector moments are right around -1g. Sub -1g is mostly reserved for quick pops. That being said, SV is the better ride IMO. TT is great and IMO better that LRod, El Toro, and others, but not on SV's level (nothing is).
My Hot Take: Diamondback is a top 5 coaster. On the same level as Fury. I have SV and i305 over it, but I can't say for sure if I have anything else over it - I go back and forth on it, Fury, TT and Maverick for #3. Elite sustained strong airtime (B&Ms strongest airtime - along with a couple others). It's big hills are only .2g off from SVs big hills. The second half still hits harder than some B&M hypers, but mostly on par. 3 big bunnies offering the longest sustained airtime (all longer than Mako) at the strongest force on this model (-.7g) is a recipe for eliteness.
Thinking velocicoaster is anything worse than the top 2 in Florida is just objectively wrong

Whahahhaha, the last one😂😂😂😂 must be a small person that had that take, cause if you are somewhat tall, RMC shin guards will destroy your shins, even when you are used to them they still hurt every ride, but Untamed is worth it, so I keep coming back, but after 10 back to back rides, I just can't continue because of the shin guards, my shins will hurt so much that I will have to get off, when I rode wildfire, it wasn't as bad, but that ride does not slam you back into the shin guards like Untamed does

I really enjoy Volcicoaster but good god it’s overrated to death. I generally do not understand how someone could put Iron Gwazi and Volcicoaster in the same category. Iron Gwazi and even Mako destroy and I do prefer Montu over it as well. It’s just not as intense as I thought it would be and I just prefer more intense ride experiences. The theming is great but I can’t make up for the lack of intensity. Saying Kumba is better is a stretch but I slightly actually do prefer Hulk.
I had a bad ride on Steve so for me Twisted Timbers is hetrwr
