About the "Toro should be RMC'd" one... I genuinely don't understand why people want already good wooden coasters RMC'd. Yes I get it RMC makes good coasters, but they make good coasters out of old wooden coasters no one likes or cares about any more. Why would you ever close a coaster that's having no real issue? If it still pulls crowds, maintenance doesn't have mental breakdowns over it, the general public generally still enjoys it, why close it? People seem to be heavily forgetting that retracking a wooden coaster can be a significantly better option than RMCing it. If the layout is already good, then why not retrack it? If the coaster can't be saved even by retracking and/or it just does not pull the crowds any more, or it has a godawful layout that doesn't do anything, then sure put RMC into the "consideration pile". I don't like the trend of enthusiasts wanting EVERY wooden coaster over 20 years old to get the RMC treatment. At least leave some of them alone.
If it's about the same price to RMC El Toro as it would be to retrack it then they should consider RMCing it as the RMC version would pull in more crowds then a wooden retrack would.
Kingda Ka has a stronger launch. I always find it much more intense than dragster. Plus it has an airtime hill. They’re pretty close for me but I think I like Ka a little more.
@@gravitydrivenadventures8842 on Ka or Superman I don't see them as that much of a downgrade. If I had ridden Maverick or I305 with the hard OTSRs I might be missing an arm or my head

Twisted Timbers is way better in the front. The barrel roll drop is different and every airtime hill hits harder. In the back seat (generally) the airtime will get stronger as you go through the hill, but its more gradual, where-as in the front you get to the peak airtime in less time, so it ejects you more. Obv this only applies to straight camelbacks that hit the exact same strength in the front and back, the only difference is how quick you get to MAXXX FORCE. If the first drop is a big highlight of the ride, then it will likely be better in the back. This also applies to double-downs and straight crops from turn-arounds, but assuming equal MAXXX FORCE in the front and back then generally the front is better.
Out of the 200 coasters I have ridden there are only 2 I prefer in the front: Colossos at Heide Park and Taron at Phantasialand. Everything else is either better in the back or a ride where it absolutely doesn´t matter where you sit.
@@mikewalker4950 Honestly I think the build-up effect to the maximum force is better than quickly getting to the maximum force and immediately having it weaken. I've tried one and thought the drop was insane in the back, plus the loop was good. Didn't care much for the rest, and it certainly was rough, but I still liked the coaster and rode it several times
@@NorthernRidesYaBoi i've ridden front and middle, front seat isn't my favourite because you go into the transition right after the loop really suddenly and it hurts but middle car is just right imo
I feel like the B&M rattle greatly contributes greatly to Diamondback's inconsistent ride experience. It can deliver such an excellent ride, but when it gives a bad ride, its often then that I am noticing the rattle and groaning metal.
I got one, hot take: yukon striker (Canada's wonderland) it's very fun because of the straight down drop and then you go underground with a big loop and then a inversion.
I don't agree, but I definitely see where you're coming from. I think Scream has the best zero-G roll at magic mountain, but as a whole, I actually prefer Riddler for my B&M lopper fix.
Weird. My rides on Apollo in 2018 gave excellent airtime. Hell, the last hill was probably the strongest non-drop airtime hill I've felt on a B&M hyper and I've been on Mako.
My only B&M hyper so far is Raging Bull and damn that thing was fun, so I probably can't hate a B&M hyper. I just need to get on a standup and if I like standups I can say that I dislike 0 B&Ms
Personally it's my least favorite roller coaster I've ever been on but its only other competition for that spot is the ninja. I don't really see why boss fans like it, it's like we ride 2 different coasters, but it would be dumb to get heated over a wooden roller coaster so I dropped a like for this being a hot take
I have a really hot take, and it’s my ranking of Hershey park rides Candymonium (my #1 ever, and I’ve been on Superman, Millie, and Steve) Wildcats revenge (my favorite rmc) Storm runner Fahrenheit (a storm runner minus launch) Skyrush (overrated) Great bear (hurt my head)
my hot take: SLCs are actually really good. I have ridden Thunderhawk at MA at least 30 times this season and i’ve had maybe a couple bad rides but the vast majority were really good.
Hot take: El Toro has dropped significantly for me just because of how neglected it's been. Jersey Devil Is better than El Toro. I don't think it should be RMC'd, Six Flags could do better
I completely agree. I found El Toro to be good when I was a kid during its first few years of operation. Now I find it to be uncomfortable and rough. I don’t get any airtime especially since I have to staple myself due to the tiny trains. JDC is far better and I fly out of my seat on it
Thats a spicy one, I dont find toro the MOST comfy ride bc of the restraints but I rode it earlier this year and it was absolutely hauling and smooth, so I can't really relate
That whole park is neglected and run down compared to other parks around it. I was there yesterday, and I was just looking at things that were falling apart, paint fading, and plants growing out of control. It’s a shame because it definitely makes a good income with all of the traffic coming into the park daily, but it’s just dirty and run down looking.
Having ridden Hulk a couple of weeks ago, it is a bit forceless, although that’s not bad. It did feel weak but also fun, and most people aren’t a fan of strong g forces so it’s beneficial. Also, this was after ridden Kraken, which tried to kill me.
4:45 this entire thing is true asf, and I haven't even been on a standup before. I know it's true, though, because I was standing in the line for stormrunner for 2 hours, and that 2 minutes of sitting down was the best feeling in the world.
I think Millie has a great drop in the back, because you have the speed over he hill, which is massive, so you get really sustained (not quite ejector) airtime for what feels like 3 full seconds
6:40 OK so but Silverstar's rattle is bad. Like plain bad. I am not looking for rattle, but it's just so damn noticable. Back in June I actually got a mild headache after I rode it in the back seat left side.
I’d say rattles on B&M only matter where they can actually cause genuine discomfort like on a ride like Firebird where the rattles caused headbanging outside of the back row which is surprisingly really fun
As someone’s who has been to kings dominion, twisted Timbers airtime feels like you’re being launched to the moon. You literally slap into the restraints
alright. I don’t go on coasters much but there’s one in wildwood that REALLY stood out. The Great White. It was an amazing ride (And even able stand up to el toro not in air time but in pure fun)
Here are some of mine Boomerangs are pretty dang fun Magnum is my favorite coaster I prefer gemini over SteVe The B&M rattle really isn't that bad The Beast is actually really fun. Millennium "Forceless" is pretty forceful. And lastly, Dive coasters are really damn good.
1. Haven't rode a boomerang in a while but I don't remember it being that fun 2. Sure I guess 3. Haven't rode either but I'm still extremely concerned about you 4. Yes 5. Haven't rode 6. Compared to other coasters It is kinda forceless 7. They fun
Totally agree with the forbidden journey!!! The ride was ok, but as someone who has an ok strong stomach l, I was feeling nauseous for a while after. The best part was the queue, which was so good. If I go back I will wait in the queue again and just skip the ride
Here’s my controversial opinion. I hate steel vengeance for one reason. Those fucking restraints gave me bruises. It’s a shame, because the airtime is amazing, and the layout is fantastic. But I didn’t even get much airtime my first time because I was stapled by the ops. Again, it’s such a shame, because I was so pumped for Steve.
I definately agree with the Mine Blower take. When I went to Orlando in 2017 it was actually my favourite coaster of the trip. I've seen the Velosicoaster POV, don't see Velosicoaster topping it. Iron Gwazi might have a chance though. Keep in mind the ride was like 10 days old when I rode it and I could see the potential for it getting rough which some of my friends who have been down there since say has happened. But based on my rides, it is the best coaster in Florida. I also agree with the take on Candymonium. While I do enjoy it and it holds a special place for me having been my 200th credit, not gonna lie I prefer Apollo's Charriot (still a lower tier B&M hyper). And it really isn't close between them. It isn't the worst B&M hyper but it is the worst B&M hyper with airtime as the main focus. But my hot take on that is that's exactly what Hersheypark needed: you want intensity go ride Skyrush. As an enthusiast I definately prefer Skyrush but more shockingly Candymonium may not even be in my top 5 at Hersheypark. But considering what the GP think of Skyrush having Candymonium as the big GP croudpleasee is exactly what the park needed. I will say though, it's been almost a decade since Hershey has done something aimed at thrillseakers, their next coaster should be aimed at thrillseekers.
@@Coastoons I can see that, I’ve have had so many more powerful moments of ejector and floater airtime in the back! I have to try that out sometime now though by your recommendation
I think RRR is a good ride, just uncomfortable for someone skinny like me who was jostling around in the harness the entire time--and I'm not someone who complains about roughness or rattling often. I don't start greying out often on many roller coasters, but something between the jostling and staring up at the sky during the "G clef" segment got to me. It's not unrideable, it's pretty fun and I totally recommend riding it, but if you don't fit that restraint well then it might not be the best.
hot take: i like rage in adventure island, 3 inversions, not to small, not to big, not to rough, not too smooth, not that intense, its just a nice and fun thrill coaster.
I think that DC rivals hyper coaster is the best Mack rides thrill coaster, Scooby doo spooky coaster is the best wild mouse, and superman escape is an elite intamin hydraulic launch coaster. Btw these are the big 3 coaster at my home park (Movie world, goldcoast).
On the Front Row Vs Back Row Debate I am with you on it depending on the ride with the exception of one coaster... Velocicoaster front and back row are entirely different experiences that are equally as amazing. The top-hat, for instance, front row you don't get ejected but as it begins its descent you find yourself almost falling into air time ( I know, this sounds crazy but you'll understand what I'm talking about once you have felt it) and the back row ejects you as you are pulled over the top. Both experiences are equally amazing, but very different at the same time. I actually enjoyed the back row on this one more than the front, but only fractionally. Typically I would agree that launched coasters are better in the front, but this one is an exception.
Also probably worth adding that Velocicoaster also has more ejector air time than any other launched coaster I have ever been on, and ejector elements are usually better in the back.
Grizzly is the worst coaster I've ever been on, to be fair I was in the middle on a wheel seat but I got stapled so hard my legs were bruised and I had a pounding headache sitting on the brake run. And predator at Darien lake for me was rough but I was okay grizzly is on a whole another level of rough
In response to B&M rattles. Some of them actually are bad enough to give you a headache. Im not particularly sensitive to roughness, but i have gotten a headache after some particularly rattle-y rides on orion, diamondback and banshee.

Hot take: gatekeeper is a lot more fun than millennium. Millennium is kinda wack and doesn’t deliver much airtime as I think a giga should, but gatekeeper does exactly what a wing should
I have to agree with this one
I clicked faster than stealths acceleration
So happy we have similar opinions! Anyways, this video was fun to watch :D
U can’t say a coaster is bad just because it’s not what u enjoy the most, toro looks like a MASTERPIECE
Hot Take: B&M Inverts are worse than any other major manufacture's model (literally i call my home park's Batman Brain Bang because i got such a bad headache we almost had to go home)
OTSR moment, I feel like OTSRs in general are just a crime against humanity and a vest restraint that B&M didn't do is the solution
by best hot take is that turbo (a pinfari zl42) is actually very enjoyable
I've tried one and thought the drop was insane in the back, plus the loop was good. Didn't care much for the rest, and it certainly was rough, but I still liked the coaster and rode it several times
@@NorthernRidesYaBoi i've ridden front and middle, front seat isn't my favourite because you go into the transition right after the loop really suddenly and it hurts but middle car is just right imo
@@lazlostuff
Yea, I agree, front row hurts
Agreed, I would take front row any day even on steel vengeance. Honestly airtime is overhyped😮
I feel like the B&M rattle greatly contributes greatly to Diamondback's inconsistent ride experience. It can deliver such an excellent ride, but when it gives a bad ride, its often then that I am noticing the rattle and groaning metal.
Hot take: Rougarou is better then Banshee by a landslide
I got one, hot take: yukon striker (Canada's wonderland) it's very fun because of the straight down drop and then you go underground with a big loop and then a inversion.
Hot take: coasters are just a long car on a fixed track
They kinda are
"mine blower is really really good"
respect = 0
Hot take: Scream is one of the most well rounded and best paced rides at Magic Mountain, and possibly my personal favorite. Way underrated coaster.
No
I don't agree, but I definitely see where you're coming from. I think Scream has the best zero-G roll at magic mountain, but as a whole, I actually prefer Riddler for my B&M lopper fix.
how is it well rounded all it has is inversions
Yes finally another scream fan
No.
Trust me, once you ride Apollo and you’ll realize that every other B&M hyper has superior airtime
probably
Well said
@@Coastoons B&M hypers are notoriously temperamental. I got very good and bad rides on Goliath(SFOG) and Intimidator
The Boss at Six Flags St. Louis has one of the best wooden coaster layouts and is has to be CCIs best creations.
Personally it's my least favorite roller coaster I've ever been on but its only other competition for that spot is the ninja. I don't really see why boss fans like it, it's like we ride 2 different coasters, but it would be dumb to get heated over a wooden roller coaster so I dropped a like for this being a hot take
I have a really hot take, and it’s my ranking of Hershey park rides
Candymonium (my #1 ever, and I’ve been on Superman, Millie, and Steve)
Wildcats revenge (my favorite rmc)
Storm runner
Fahrenheit (a storm runner minus launch)
Skyrush (overrated)
Great bear (hurt my head)
Video idea - How defunct manufacturers would change the industry if they were still around today and what you think could’ve happened.
my hot take: SLCs are actually really good. I have ridden Thunderhawk at MA at least 30 times this season and i’ve had maybe a couple bad rides but the vast majority were really good.
no
I agreed there pretty good like the Great Nor’Easter
Great Nor’easter
@@zack9777 who even cares
Hot Take: SooperDooperLooper is the best looping coaster
I was at Carowinds a month ago and I thought that Fury was more intense than afterburn
Hot take: Superman Ride of Steel is actually really good.
JDC is far better and I fly out of my seat on it
It is a bit rough so I think GhostRider is better
Thats a spicy one, I dont find toro the MOST comfy ride bc of the restraints but I rode it earlier this year and it was absolutely hauling and smooth, so I can't really relate
That whole park is neglected and run down compared to other parks around it. I was there yesterday, and I was just looking at things that were falling apart, paint fading, and plants growing out of control. It’s a shame because it definitely makes a good income with all of the traffic coming into the park daily, but it’s just dirty and run down looking.
You’re wrong
“A B&M rattle doesn’t cause the restraint to go down”
Goliath at SFOG: Am I a joke to you?
Having ridden Hulk a couple of weeks ago, it is a bit forceless, although that’s not bad. It did feel weak but also fun, and most people aren’t a fan of strong g forces so it’s beneficial. Also, this was after ridden Kraken, which tried to kill me.
Hot take: GhostRider is better than El Toro.
L
Oooooh that’s a spicy one
vertical lift into non inverting loop is hangtime at knott’s as well
Hot take (maybe?): Titan at SFOT is awesome!
4:45 this entire thing is true asf, and I haven't even been on a standup before. I know it's true, though, because I was standing in the line for stormrunner for 2 hours, and that 2 minutes of sitting down was the best feeling in the world.
Beast at kings island is good and vortex at KI (closed in 2019) is underrated
I think Millie has a great drop in the back, because you have the speed over he hill, which is massive, so you get really sustained (not quite ejector) airtime for what feels like 3 full seconds
6:40 OK so but Silverstar's rattle is bad. Like plain bad.
I am not looking for rattle, but it's just so damn noticable.
Back in June I actually got a mild headache after I rode it in the back seat left side.
I'd still argue that while the rattle is there, it's not bad. I found it pretty easy to ignore on my rides. God I love that coaster xD
Yeah its annoying on silver star but i only really notice it after the 1st drop in the back so its fine imo
wot I don't even notice rattle on silver star
@@rechtebanana Well maybe your rattle tolerance is higher or sth
I’d say rattles on B&M only matter where they can actually cause genuine discomfort like on a ride like Firebird where the rattles caused headbanging outside of the back row which is surprisingly really fun
Hot take:
Lost Gravity and Gold Rush > Untamed (WH)
As someone’s who has been to kings dominion, twisted Timbers airtime feels like you’re being launched to the moon. You literally slap into the restraints
Hot take: This is one of the best TH-cam channels ever
Incredicoaster > Rock n roller coaster
Hot take: leviathans drop is just as good as Millennium Forces, fury and Orion’s drop.
I’ve been on leviathan and I still remember the first time I went on I thought my restraint broke off cause there was so much airtime
@@Ry-pk1mb IKR I have it at my home park and it has crazy underrated airtime and that drop just feels ENDLESS

alright. I don’t go on coasters much but there’s one in wildwood that REALLY stood out. The Great White. It was an amazing ride

Here are some of mine
Boomerangs are pretty dang fun

COASTOONS I NEED YOUR ANSWER NOW! Which coaster is better?? Mystic Timbers or Twisted Timbers?
Coaster enthusiasts right now: "Kill me now"
Congrats on 20k!
"where else would you get a vertical lift hill into a non inverting loop?"
Me: hangtime hangtime HANGTIME HANGTIME
Love the vid, would watch if it was a series
I really loved the vid! Do another please! Also wdym front is just as good if not better than the back???? HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE
veiw and sense of speed. The airtime is just while going up the hill rather than going down
@@Coastoons I can see that, I’ve have had so many more powerful moments of ejector and floater airtime in the back!
Hot take: I like Ka over Dragster. Shoot me now & Mine blower is elite as well🤙🏽
I think that DC rivals hyper coaster is the best Mack rides thrill coaster, Scooby doo spooky coaster is the best wild mouse, and superman escape is an elite intamin hydraulic launch coaster. Btw these are the big 3 coaster at my home park (Movie world, goldcoast).
Skyrush was my first big steel coaster so I'll always love it
On the Front Row Vs Back Row Debate I am with you on it depending on the ride with the exception of one coaster...
4:33 Coastoons: Who the f*ck thought it would be a good idea to make me stand on a roller coaster?!
Me: Togo.
I like Vekoma boomerangs. I'll die on this hill
hot take: Fahrenheit at Hershey park isn't even close to the top 3 in the park. both wooden coasters and laff trakk are better.
Hot take: Twisted timbers is the best rmc
Grizzly is the worst coaster I've ever been on, to be fair I was in the middle on a wheel seat but I got stapled so hard my legs were bruised and I had a pounding headache sitting on the brake run. And predator at Darien lake for me was rough but I was okay grizzly is on a whole another level of rough
In response to B&M rattles. Some of them actually are bad enough to give you a headache. Im not particularly sensitive to roughness, but i have gotten a headache after some particularly rattle-y rides on orion, diamondback and banshee.
1: Riddlers revenge (snfe)> montu
2: Hulk is the best coaster in Florida that’s open right now.
3: s&s freespins are elite
4: kumba is just okay
5: Superman the ride’s restraints are better than RMC lap bars
6: roughness makes a coaster more intense and can make it better.
7: sky rocket 2s have the worst restraints on any coaster (not even counting the comfort collars)
8: b&m ots restraints = b&m clamshells
YESSSSSS someone else realizes how much SR2’s lap bar crushes u, by far the worst restraints I’ve experienced, also I agree Superman the rides restraints are actually good, they don’t even touch u unless ur stapled in the station or are getting airtime
