I'm really confused about connecting things on Anytype. 😵 L'ts Say, I have videos, articles, and pages about TH-cam. What better way to link them? 1. Put them all in one page under the name TH-cam 2. Or just connect them to the tag “TH-cam”. 3. Or both? Because I feel like using tags is going to be a mess where I have to add a fair number of tags because I have a fair personal knowledge base and a variety of fields. Are there better ways? I've been using the program since last year and I still feel lost. ----------- by the way, you can use audacity software or an Ai to remove noise from sound and improve it
This really comes down to personal preference. In my mind (assuming I understand this correctly), even though these are all under the topic of TH-cam, they are three different mediums. I'd have a Type for videos, a Type for articles, and a Type for pages. Then, on each one, I might have a subject Relation, where I could enter TH-cam as the subject. That way, you could make a set that searches everything with the TH-cam subject Relation, but each of your notes would remain separate, so you could also search by object Type as well as Relation. TLDR: There's no one perfect way, but I would use Relations for a topic (they all relate to TH-cam) and Types for medium (page, video, et). Also, ye, I realized that the audio was pretty bad. My goal is to actually get a mic soon here and stop using my MacBook speakers. I had forgotten about Audacity; I'll get that going for the next one. Many thanks.
@@pianomacpowerI’d think grouping objects of different types would be the purpose for a Collection. Though I didn’t figure out how to add existing items to a Collection, Anytype seems to prefer me to only create Collection items within the Collection originally.
@@Mark4Jesus That's fair... I haven't played around with them as much as I'd like to, but I think they do serve a purpose... I just need more exposure to them.
feedback - the music is really distracting. I would either have it very quiet or not use background music in the future
You are a godsend. Thanks for these tutorials. Would you mind making a video explaining objects, as in why choose object type as a relation over tags?
Sure thing! I'll add that to the list of ideas, and try to get that out within a week or two.
