  • Meet FA-50PL successor for Poland air defense. The Polish Air Force fleet will be reinforced with 48 Korean light fighters dubbed FA-50PL.
The FA-50 is a United States-South Korea-built supersonic trainer aircraft. Developed by Korean Aerospace Industries with the assistance of Lockheed Martin, it is a light attack variant aircraft.
It appears that Poland will use the Korean-made jet not only as a trainer, but as a light attack aircraft that could be the successor to a squadron of SU-22M4/UM3K Fitters and two squadrons of MiG-29A/UB Fulcrum, a pair of Soviet-era jets. In turn, the FA-50 should cooperate with the currently deployed F-16 fighters.
