its interesting to see that you do not recommend scarpa phantom 6000 but you do recommend Arcteryx Acrux AR. I love my Acrux but I thought that they were to cold for Aconcagua.
Hi Max, I have a question about what to do with the double boots during the night. After day of hiking what to do with the boots in the tent to avoid problems with moisture. Should I put the inner boot out, use some dryer, put them in to the sleeping bag etc. or just open the boots and let them dry out naturally?
I wore my Oly Mons for Aconcagua (actually I was with Max, presenter on this video) and of course they are warm enough but the scree on the mountain to camp 1 and camp 2 damaged the soft soles on way up and return so I would say only use the Oly Mons if they are an old pair. You shouldn’t damage them if you later want to use them on 8000m peaks.
What about Mammut Nordwand Knit High GTX, any thoughts? According to a manufacturer, they are suitable for up to -30C

My Scarpa Phantom 6000 ARE double boots in fact, maybe they're on the wrong side of the list
