    Hi Ali and Rob, Thanks for remembering us. It was so excited to meet you both in persons on this cruise. Really enjoy watching your videos and keep up with the good work. All the best and hope to see you again. Cheers from Terry and Angie.

      Hi Angie. Thanks for watching and for leaving such a lovely comment. We were actually so taken aback that people recognised us that we made a point that we will mention everyone we met on the ship in at least one of our videos. Take care both of you anf hopefully we will run into each other again sometime.

      Thanks Robert. The weather was superb. To be honest we cannot believe how lucky we have been with the weather on both the Coral and Encounter. On both cruises we had magnificent weather and it went downhill on the cruises after us. Keeping our fingers crossed for good weather week of 6th Nov for the Luminosa cruise.

      @@robandalicruisetravel Yeah, Chris and I are doing the Barrier Reef Cruise from Brissy on the Coral on the 28th November. We are a bit concerned about storms.👍

      @robandalicruisetravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robertporter8517 You're certainly getting into the wet season then but the Captains are really vigilant about storms and do their best to avoid them. We were once on an NZ cruise and around Milford Sound area we found ourselves between 2 storms. The Captain kept the ship in just the right place to be able to duck into the 3 sounds and back out again whilst still staying between them. Having said that, even if the ship does steer round the storms, rainy weather does put a bit of a damper on things. Hopefully you'll be fine, Queensland storms never last that long and then the sun comes out again.

      Hi Jools. Never cruised on the Golden Princess but if her current P&O guise is similar to her Princess one and this seems to be very much the same as the Encounter, I can understand how she was well liked.

      Hi Kerry. That sounds like a great trip and Christmas is such a great time to be on a cruise. We did our first New Year on a cruise last year as the girls are growing up and went to the UK for a few weeks. We loved it and have booked New Year for this year now. Have a fantastic time and enjoy the build up.

    Loving these daily vlogs really helps me get a sense of the day to day activities available onboard. Did you learn about them all via the good times magazine? And if you happened to have a clip of what the good times magazine looks like could you include it in one of your upcoming vlogs?

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Donna. Thanks for your comments. If you mean the actual rate of exchange, as this varies it wouldn't remain relevant. However, if you mean a video on how prices vary between the countries for similar things, in other words buying power, then we could probably do that. We'll do some research to see if we can get enough information online on prices as I don't think we have enough relevant footage to make one. Might have to wait until we're back out at the islands at the end of the year.

We didn't eat at 400 Gradi but will definitely give it a go next time we're on a P&O ship and thanks for the balsamic and olive oil tip. Hope you have a fantastic time on the Pacific Adventure and we know what you mean about it making you feel younger. Maybe it's the sea air.

    Is the waterfront one of the pay restaurants on the ship?

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lindsey. The Waterfront is the Main Dining Room and is included in the fare. The Pantry, Angelos and Dragon Lady are also included in the fare. Extra cost restaurants are Lukes, Shell & Bones, 400 Gradi and casual by the pool, Gradi Pronto (pizza) and Luke's Burger Bar (Burgers).

    I have just booked this exact cruise for the end of march. What are the costs to leave my car in the car park also are there included meals in all restaurants or just in the pantry? Thanks for any help. It’s my first cruise.

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David. Sorry for the delay in replying and thanks for watching. The car parking at the terminal is operated by Wilson's parking. If you hop on their website and look under International Cruise Terminal Brisbane you will see 3 options - P1, P2 and P3. P1 is closest and there is some cover but it is the most expensive. P2 is a little further away and no cover and P3 is a little further away also. Having said that, all of them are in sight of the ship and only a few minutes walk from the furthest point. They do book up quickly though and there is nowhere else around so I would suggest you get in now to save a place.
      As for included dining, there are a number of other options besides the Pantry. The Pantry is the Buffet but the Main Dining Room (Watefront) which is waiter service is also included. Also there are 2 themed restaurants included which are Asian (Dragon Lady) and Italian (Angelo's). Plenty of choice without having to spend anything more on food. Anything else you want to know just ask, we love to help fellow cruisers.

    Why do some people have masks. As it a requirement or an option

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Michele. Thanks for the comment. Mask wearing requirements are all over the place at the moment. On the Encounter you were required to wear them in certain places only and all the staff wore them pretty much all of the time. We were on the Carnival Luminosa a couple of weeks ago and there was no mask wearing by any of the passengers or staff (apart from voluntarily). Then there was the Majestic Princess issue and now it is back to mandatory mask wearing, not only on the ship but also on buses and indoors on land of you go on a shore tour, with Carnival anyway. Different cruise lines are implementing mask wearing to differing degrees and until you get near the time for boarding you don't really know what to expect. Nevertheless, we didn't find it to be that much of a hardship so if that's what we have to do to enjoy a cruise then so be it. We are on the Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas next month and haven't had any notification from them as yet as to what their requirements are, no doubt we will though.

    Do everyone need to wear masks on a ship?

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Angelina. It's a bit of a changing situation. When we were on this cruise it was required to wear masks in all indoor public places apart from when seated in the bars or restaurants and all other places when you were unable to social distance. Last weekend some of the cruiselines dropped the mandatory mask rules making them only suggested. However, the with the number of possible COVID cases on board the Coral Princess and Quantum of the Seas (still to be confirmed though as the media reporting may well be incorrect), it is possible that the cruiselines may elect to revert to mandatory for a while. Who knows though, it's a bit of a 'watch this space'.
