IF you enlist for this, check with the FAA for how much your MOS will meet the qualifications to get an A&P license which will help ensure you get a civilian job in the field when you get out.

My son was just given notice that his MOS will be Aviation Mechanics...originally he was interested in Communications just like his grandfather...but the list was too long. He's happy with his alternative. :-)

I want this MOS but I heard that they work long hours and don’t have any free time.

This is what I wanted to do for the Marines but I scored a 32 on my ASVAB and my line score for MM was 120, and they told me I didn't score high enough. So a Army recruiter contacted me and told me he could recruit me and now I'm a AH-64 Attack Helicopter Repairer but I wish I still did this instead :/

So being an aircraft mechanic you have a chance to go deploy with the infantry? If so, what kind of stuff are you doing ?

Don't forget to include in the video IF YOU QUALIFY. Military advertising looks good always until you go in to the recruiters office.

If you sign up for this job know that you won’t have any freetime. Your going to be working 12+ hour days including weekends. Kids don’t let these recruiters bullshiy you and do the research

Joey_ Breezy what about avionics tecnichian?

RoyalTee depends if you are the I level or O Level. I level fixes broken parts from the aircraft and O level just installs them. From my experience of being around the two I level is the way to go.

Where do you people get your information from? None of you guys know anything about Marine aviation. Yes sometimes you work long hours but most of the time you work a regular shift. I was an avionicsman and crew chief on CH-46E Sea Knights (Phrogs) back in the 80's and l loved every minute of it. If you are a crew chief you do put in more hours but that is because you fly as an aircrewman so you have to do preflight, turnaround, and postflight inspections on squadron aircraft as well as performing regular maintenance. But you have plenty of time off.
